I agree with my Cancerian Sun, Earth Moon sisters.
I have a Cancer Sun and Cappie moon and my boyfriend recently told me that he knows he loves me more than I do him.
I reacted witha strange smile on my face.
I really cannot describe it.
It was a mixture of acknowledged and bewilderment.
Acknowledgemnt that I do not fall so easily in love. I just don't. I'm to practical to get swept up in all that emotion and too cynical to believe that most people know what LOVE really is.
I was bewildered that he had acknowledged that!!
And for the record, he really knows how to love.

My libra told me he loved me the first day we went out, hahaha.

I didn't say anything until about a month after that.

We have been together for about 4 years now.

Hey Knowflakes...

Been a while but I thought this was an interesting topic to chime in on...

I'm a Scorpio Sun/Aries Moon/ Libra Rising and it is EXTREMELY difficult for me to say I Love You, but when I do, I mean it with all my heart... I don't throw those words out readily, not even to my family... oddly enough... I've been with my Cappy Sun/Gemini Moon/Libra Rising for almost 5 years and it took the both of us a very, very, very long time to say that to eachother... Admittingly I was the first to say it... Honestly, I believe that I love differently than he does... not necessarily in a bad way, just different... I am more likely to get caught in my emotions than he is... he's too pragmatic for that... however, when we are feeling affectionate and loving ourselves; we are both die hard romantics... Now, notice how I said, when we are loving ourselves.... Recently I noticed that if either one of us are depressed we are far from affectionate and loving... I just thank god that for the most part, we don't get depressed at the same time and are able to pull the other out of their self-imposed slump... but when we are both gloomy clouds of pessimism, it usually takes a few fights and some serious compromising to get through it... Guess its all the opposition between our sun's and moon's that can cause the hesitation, but when we say it.. we mean it...

Honestly, I have a very hard time saying "I love you". I don't know why but I just can't say it. I can actually count the times I did say it on one hand. I have a hard time talking about my feelings in general. I have Moon square Saturn natally, so maybe that's why.

Sun in Sagittarius (8th)
Moon in Leo (5th)
Mercury in Sagittarius (9th)
Venus in Libra (7th)
Mars in Libra (7th)

Most Taurus i know say it early and often. I question the sincerity of it but whatever makes them feel good.
I rarely say I love you but would rather express my love to someone.

Dulce Luna: "I think libras fall in love with everyone too though. And also tend to use the word too liberally."

If this makes you feel better, I'm a Libra and I dislike most people. I also don't throw the words "I love you" around too much, I could say it more I suppose.

When I truly love someone, I would like to declare my feelings to them very openly and passionately. I don't fear rejection that much, but the sort of insincerity the Pisces on the first page described (saying they love someone when they don't) scares the hell out of me. And partly because of that I end up not saying it, or because I'm not sure how the person would react (would I scare them?). I want people to be honest to me, it hurts a lot less in the end than lying which shatters all the trust I have towards other people.

Sorry Missa,I gotta remember to say that I 'm only speaking of the one's I've known.

In thew first example there was this libra/leo girl who I either was friends with or enemies like every other month. If you asked her why she "loved" the guy she was with, her answer would most likely "OMG, its his braids and the style of his clothes is mad hot!!!" Yep.

And then there was the time my Sag/Aqua friend went out with this libra guy who was chill at first, but then he told her he loved her on the THIRD DATE. I was like, "damn!" She totally ditched him after that because she didn't know whether he was for real or whether he was trying to
get into her pants.

And then there is my Libra/sag friend who I love to death and in her case I don't think she really falls in love easily, but she does throw the word around a bit much.

If it makes you feel any better I know a sag, a cap with an air moon and venus, plus some pisces who are all the same way.

Well us Libras can always say that Cancers really need to get out and explore the dynamics of human relationships more rather than just peeking in through their shells Lol! I joke offcourse.

Offcourse there is love in even the most shortest of relationships if the couple really did gave it their all. Don't be so quick to lable something as sincere of insincere if you haven't had a chance to experience such relationships yourself. Just because a relationship was ment to be short-termed doesn't mean senerity wasn't involved.

I've never said it in a serious way. I only say it when I'm joking with someone and I know they know we're just fooling around.
Even as a kid, I would make these poster things that would say "I love you, Mom"(my mom still has one hanging on her bedroom wall) but I never said it. I didn't hear it much either though. I start to think if I really do love them, because if I did it would come easily(which is what ppl tell me). Then I start to think maybe I blame them for something, not that theres any horrible stories, but you know...but its not like my sign to hold grudges. It's probably just my Gemini Venus- not all emotional and deep.

I met an Aries Sun/Scorpio Moon/Pisces Venus/ Aries Mars recently who after telling me that he wanted to get engaged to his g/f, told me that because it was a blue moon that if I were going to go crazy, "tonight would be the night". He didn't mean mentally insane, either. He meant: run off and have meaningless sex with me. As if his g/f would accept that because of the blue moon. HA!

Libras, Sagittarians, and Pisces love everyone but in different ways. Libras pretend to at first(they charm you) just to make themselves look good, Sagittarians like any one they can talk to, and Pisces just like everyone they can be around so they don't have to be alone.
That's what I've noticed from them signs.

When my first serious boyfriend told me he loved me, I said, "I'm very fond of you too." Oh yeah, I'm smooth. We had been drinking and joking around when he said it, so I thought that he would get that I was just mocking my own difficulty with saying "I love you." I really didn't think too much of the incident and didn't think he did either. Then when we were breaking up 8 months after that, he brought that up, and I finally realized how insensitive that had been of me.

Except with my bf, I don't say I love you much, whether to family or friends. I show my feelings more with my attention and physical affection.

And I hate to be Captain Obvious, but I think a person's comfort level with saying those words probably has more to do with upbringing than astrology. But upbringing held equal, I think Caps and Scorpios would be more cautious and conservative with saying it and Aries would be the most free.

I have a
Sag Sun
Leo Moon
Cap Venus
Virgo Mars
Scorpio AC and Mercury

i think the sun/moon aspects will play a huge part in saying these words.

Being a sun scorpio/moon taurus, i have a hard time saying it. Unless to my family, but sometimes still quite uncomfortable. But i do love them alot though. My emotions are too strong. And i have an impulsive venus in sag. Mars in emotional cancer.

I think it'll naturally be easier for those with harmonious sun/moon aspects to say "i love you".

Hi

I'm a Scorp sun/ pisces moon/ sag rising. I can say I love you to my kids, my friends and my pets in excess...warm fuzzies abound . But when it comes to a love interest, I will bite my tongue until I feel it's truly reciprocated. Example: I have it sooooo bad for a cap sun/ leo moon/ scorp rising guy. In the throws of passion he told me he had fallen in love with me... but he was also in the "throws" of massive quantities of alcohol... So I didn't say the words back. I felt them... I was screaming them on the inside but because he was drunk, I couldn't admit to it out loud. With him being a cap though and us having a rocky relationship to begin with, the only time I may ever hear it is when he's drunk..lol. Anyway, I feel those words are sacred in a love relationship. Don't say them if you don't really mean them.

No, you may be correct on that one. We could learn from our cardinal brethren to be a little more trusting and open. The purpose of the 4-10 pattern (the sqaure) is to teach and learn I think.

And maybe you're right, I can't judge other people's situations. Its just that the thing I'm concerned with is when people throw around the phrase like its nothing making the phrase loses its meaning and value.

I tend to want to say it fairly early on,because of my innate ability to know quickly weather or not I love someone! But in reality I usually hesitate because I don't wanna overwhelm the other person(Scorpio Moon intensity and all...).I don't feel comfortable saying "I love you" to friends, even though I DO love them.To me those words are for romantic relationships.I'm pretty lovey-dovey with Venus being my Sun sign ruler and Neptune in the 7th.In my current "relationship"(I'll call it that even though it's kinda confusing right now...but aren't all relationships?),I was actually shocked! "My" Double Virgo said the words first. Not at all what you'd expect of a so-called "detached" Virgo! Of course,I had told him a few weeks earlier that I thought I was falling in love with him,but the actual words came from him first. And I responded "I love you too". Maybe it's due to his Cancer Rising that he feels more comfortable expressing emotions than your typical Virgo male. *Shrugs* Now we both say it every day.

I agree that certain signs say it more easily than others. Being a scorpio, gemini moon..It has always been difficult expressing my love for anyone. My present boyfriend is the only person I have been at total ease telling him whenever it strikes me...In the past it was always very hard, and it was uncomfortable. Maybe more than what your sign is, it has to do with really feeling it.

Something I have been working on and I think its an appropriate time to post it since it clearly shows how complex love is and just can't be defined with set circumstances.

Its a sort of personal reflection of the past and present of an ever evolving feeling of love . I was gonna post this eventually, but its still kinda a WIP.

So near yet so far.

Before you left, you offered one more gift to me
One last smile to ease the pain
I couldn’t hide it anymore, I turned away
I still think that you are beautiful in my eyes

The day that you return I hope you see
the two of us found love

Throughout the days that you were here I looked for you
We kept on looking finding nothing lost in ourselves
But in the end we found what we were looking for
and I know that whatever happens it’s the final result

The day that you return I hope you see
it’s naught but destiny

I wish that from your spot that you could see the sky
And the stars that you let fly so they could watch over and shine on me

Stay by my side forever more
Darling can’t you see that the days we haven’t seen
Remain here in my heart
Won’t you please rescue my heart

Stay by my side forever more
Darling can’t you see that the days we haven’t seen
Remain here in my heart

So trust in me forever more
darling can’t you see, I can’t say goodbye to you
no matter where you are, you live inside my heart
We’re in our heaven forever more

The day that you return I hope you see
The two of us found love

I don't know if all Taureans are like me but normally in my life I have been the first to say I love you.

When I was a teen I would just directly tell a guy when I liked him and out and out ask him if there was a chance here or am I wasting my time. If I didn't get a straight yes or no answer and instead I got something like "maybe" or "maybe down the road when we graduate and blah, blah" I would just shrug and move on to someone else.

So yeah, I would be the first always. I don't know if that is a Taurus trait or not, I know the honesty is, but I figured why waste your time on anything that does not have some kind of hope or promise?

So funny and 100% true!

I don't easily say it in romantic clinches. It never came easy to me... I easily say it to friends, however, because to me, that's a different kind of love.

I feel it is overused by people in romantic relationships, and that that cheapens it. I'd rather someone showed me that they love me through actions. I'm more action oriented than word oriented.

I don't say it easily. Not at all. Only to my pets and people I'm close to - but that became rare for me as I got older. I need to remember to tell people more, because I do love them.

I had a Taurus say it to me first, out of nowhere. I was all tickled, but so shocked (and suddenly shy) that I didn't think to say it back.

It's hard for me to fall in love, only happened once. I find it difficult to say I love you at the start too cos I don't want to be vulnerable.

But everything I DO say, I ALWAYS mean.
