"The 12th house person NEEDS to have 8th house and 4th house people around, or scorpios and cancers, to channel their energy into different avenues. The 8th house person can let the 12th house person see who they really are, and the 4th house person can teach us how to use our powers for the benefit of those we care about."

My mother, whom i'm very close to has Sun in Scorpio in 8th house, my best friend has Moon in Scorpio i just found out recently, and two other guy friends both have Sun in the 12th house, and one of them have a whole lota 8th houses. We just happen to, naturally attract each other. I really enjoy being around Scorpios, they're all great people.

Yes me too, actually I enjoy the company of most water signs. My mom is a Scorpio Sun, Pisces Moon and my sister has her Aries Sun in the 12th and her Capricorn Moon in the 8th. I have a lot of Cancer friends, and my bf is a Cancer with Scorpio in the first. Weird, how I never noticed it before... Thanks again BR A quick question for you BR, do you think your Sun in the 12th has inspired you to pursue your career in psychology?

You're very welcome GM

Hexxie, jupiter in 12 is like a guardian angel, lucky you!! I guess the fact that it´s rx must give you a "all is well" inner feeling, more than anything else?

elemiah - that was cool! did you read that somewhere or just pull it out of yer head? (if you read it, where can i read more?!)

well, i've always felt a really easy connection with 'the guardian angel of my higher elf' as linda g would've said. another connection i noticed (maybe it means nothing, who knows) is that in the catholic religion (i do not consider myself catholic but i was brought up catholic) every day is 'assigned' a certain saint. but on my b.day, oct 2nd, there was no saint 'assigned' but it's considered the 'feast day of the guardian angel'. pretty neat!

i just was reading soemthing really neat about retrograde planets that i /must/ share with you all: "retrograde planets are best understood from a magnetic perspective, from an energy point of view, and their activity is best understood conceptually as a time dynamic. direct planets are electrical, and they cause energy to charge and move; retrograde planets are magnetic and draw energy into the chart."

so to finally answer your question ele, yes i do have an 'all is well inner feeling'. i know, and trust that everything is how it should be (good or bad) so that i can learn and grow as i need, to reach 'enlightenment'. i live my life as the 'spirit' i am that drives this 'vehicle body' and not the other way around

My birthday is Oct 2nd as well!!!!!!!!!!! How cool is that, just like Ghandi ( I´m sure you know it lol) You must be an awesome person LOL LOL.
Sorry I´ve no more info about Jupiter in 12th, my personal astrologer told me once ( well, personal astrologer sounds like too formal, I´ve only met him 3 times but he´s very well respected around and he sure knows what he´s saying). As for the "all is well" inner feeling, that´s how I see it, so no further reading info.
Take care birthday mate!!

PlanetSoul:

Sun in the 12th inspires career choices any career choice involving things hidden. This includes the subconscious, so psychology would follow here, as would any "lock away" place like prisons, hospitals, etc.. 12th house also rules nocturnal activities. Think "hidden."

My final career decision, and the path I'm currenly on, is to go to med school and become a psychiatrist. I think I'm more driven by my Jupiter/Moon/pluto conjunction on my midheaven in scorpio. I'd say whatever house your sun is in can influence your career, but the 6th and 10th houses are more important, especially any aspects to your midheaven.

Any 12th, 8th, or scorpio/pisces positions will make you a nautral psychologist.

I have an odd situation. My parents, a Scorpio woman and a Pisces man had six children none of them have their sun signs or even their moons, venuses or mars in Scorpio or Pisces.

Now to the topic at hand. I have no planets in the 12th house. However, Neptune/Scorpio is in the 11th (a water singleton thus bad eyesight, frighteningly keen sense of smell and occasionally strange visions, like three night of dreaming of a blond girl struggling against silver duct tape then having the FBI announce a week later the discovery of duct tape with wads of blond hair on it ---that Aruba Hollaway case). My 12th house is also ruled by Scorpio.

That placement makes me a keen sleuth who spends alot of time probing people's psychological issues. I have been interested in astrology since my Mom began reading Linda's books to us as kids (funny I know).

One more note. I no longer have any Sun Scorpios in my life. The few who have come through have been critical, important persons in my life. With the exception of a boss, they are all deceased. My mom unexpectedly of a massive heartache at 63. My best high school girlfriend of a freak accident on the Autobahn at 36 (she was brilliant lived in Italy with her family --taught Italian to American service people and spoke 4 languages) and my favorite "school parent" (at my young daughter's school)at 36 of a mysterious drowning. She and her young daughter perished. Both mother and child were expert swimmers. The case was closed but the child's father was suspected in the "accident."

PS: With my SOLAR RETURN showing Moon in 12th Scorpio and Scorpio ascendant, it's been an interesting time to say the least. Little sleep and plenty of cloak and dagger. It would be challenging to have the 12th full of planets permanently!

hi elemiah-

You asked about my 12th house venus. Hmm It is hard to say. I did have one relationsship that was a secret at work only because he was my boss at the time - never again - but other than that. no, no, other experiences like that one. NO Secret affairs, no clandestine affairs either. So i think that mostly 12th house venus for me is that i keep my feelings and emotions tightly under wraps and only show them to a very precious few. I have so much 12th house energy in my chart that hiding is probably natural for me. Funny though i have had very "public" jobs but now work nights, by myself, and from my understanding is a very 12th house thing.

How bout you how do you see your placement affecting you?

Thanks for the reply BR, I notice your posts are exceptionally good with deep insight into the human psyche. Congradulations on deciding to go to med school. I have read that many 12th house influenced people tend to work in jails, institutions, and night shifts. Working in a jail is too depressing for me, but I love the idea of helping oppressed people. I'm also fascinated my psychology, especially Jung's theories. My MC is in Pluto/Libra, I'm thinking of going into Social Work and Counseling.

Thanks planetsoul that was sweet.

An MC in libra would definitely work for social work, law, non profit organizations, i'd say pluto would give you the ability to transform other people's lives...sounds good

Morning, Hexxie!
I´m a libra sun, libra asc, aqua moon ( we share sun and moon I see!)
Thanks for your explanation about venus in 12 Ladya, it makes a lot of sense.
It´s funny to realize that a lot of 12th house sun people tend to go for social work, counselling, psychology... They actually appeal to me as well, but I know that would be the "path of least resistance" since my north node is just opp my sun, in the 6th house. I still don´t know what I should be doing though I know I should focus on the gritty nitty details of life. I´ll find out in due time...
Hot ice, I´ve always read that 12 house pluto ( and exalted in scorpio, wow!)can lead to self doubt and fear of your own emotions- fear when they´re negative & oh so powerful emotions and self doubt when they´re positive... Does it make any sense to you?
All the best

Yeah,it used to happen all the time, especially when I was in my early and mid teens, lots of self doubt, and with a saturn on my asc,it makes it worse, low ,almost zero confidence(but I could fake it though )...glad I got through that phase.... It does come up here and there nowadays,I just move on,got a lot of methods to motivate myself, like music etc....

ele - lol we both have all air sign sun/moon/risings! that's a ton of mental energy between the 2 of us hehe! for my rising i read (and focus) more on cancer tho cuz there's only 1* of gem in my 1st house. the cancer rising stuff usually fits a bit better for me.

ok a lil off subject but blueroamer mentioned something tht has piqued my interest. career choices! so based on the things blue said what type of stuff should i be looking to do? 12th house is taurus, sun in 4th house, 6th house is scorpio & 10th (mc) is pisces. aspects to mc are neptune square mc, venus trine mc and uranus trine mc. as far as 12th and 8th house positions, i have jupiter in gemini in the 12th & moon in aquarius in the 8th. nothing in pisces, but i have venus & uranus & noth node in scorp. having said all of this i would love nothing more than doing something creative for a living. perhaps somethign i could make my own hrs and maybe work from home...

Hi there people, I have read abit about the 12th house, mostly regarding the house of loss, hidden talents,secrets,sorrows,self-undoings. The house that governs dissapointments, accidents, trouble, self defeat. Rules unseen forces, secret enemies, escapism, asylums, hospital, prisons.

So i have Sun, Mercury, Venus in gemini, 12th house.

With the Sun in 12th house it says you like privacy and quietness, you may be reticent or have difficulty expressin yourself only close to a few people. (I find this kinda true although i always see myself as a gemini which i see as expressive, but i always behave like a recluse and feel repressed in real life somewhat like a loner-which is very self conflicting)

Mercury in 12th house - You tend to be contemplative,self-absorbed,insightful thinker who works thing out for yourself, alone or in secret. You worry over trifles and inconsequentials, and may be very shy. ( True.. Having mercury in gemini is a good thing i believe but the 12th house prevents it from showing-which can be good or bad for diffferent purposes)

Venus in 12th house - emotional and sensitive , you are capable of giving true and selfless love. You are most content when leading a private and secluded life. ( Venus in gemini exerts lots of flirtatious than again its being supressed by the 12th house which hides our love)

My ruling planet is mercury, ruler of the sun is mercury too which further underlines mercury power but is all hidden in the 12th house which i have yet to unlock..

Being a monkey and a gemini with a water singleton(pluto) with my sun mercury and venus in the 12th house makes me feel like someone with a thousand sides to show.

Anyone has planets in the 12th house care to share some insights?

My 12th house falls in Taurus but most parts of it are in Gemini, which is my asc. I have nothing in it, unfortunately. If there are no planets in there, are there any other hints to look out for?

Good morning watermonkey No planets in Taurus. Venus, its ruling planet is in Libra, 5th house. Does that mean anything?

As for me, my sun is in 12 together with uranus and south node. I guess having the sun there makes me want to just want to get away from it all to recharge sometimes. Its a need. I´ve come to think of uranus as the electric planet, and can give anxiety or restlessness out of the blue ( I hate that!! but I´m learning to welcome it and let it pass now), and that south node conjunct sun...
What about you guys? How do you experiment your 12th?
All the best

I have LOTS of 12th house planets and the sun conjuncts the cusp from house 11 as well though not technically inside. Three of the planets are very close to the ascending degree though. South node lingers there with Pluto. I feel that South Node/Pluto sting intensely. This is the one I feel is karmic in some way. Gotta grab that Pisces node in this life or suffer the consequences! I find when I focus on the Pisces NN I get a lot of positive enforcement from my environment. I get the best results by being spiritual and talking about spiritual things. If I go into Virgo mode, things fall apart quickly. Can't be a ***** in this life, lol. Maybe I was too much of one in the last? Probably. I have been one in this life and it has not done me any favors but oh well.

My other 12 house planets help me study and I like to be alone. I am someone who functions better in a room with just pets, a computer, books, television, IPOD instead of out socializing with lots of people. I do that from time to time but am also happy at home by myself studying. I study a lot. I find house 12 to be a study house if Mercury is inside.

You should be very artistic and creative, romantically, it makes a person very loving and this is one area where balance and discrimination are crucial to maintaining personal harmony. If you have children or plan to have any, they are welcomed and lovingly accepted. There is a tendency to be fair with them as life progresses.

Venus in 5th in Libra will highlight the artistic and romantic associations of this house. It is easy to attract romance and get involve with Venus in 5th house. Because Venus rules here, a child is quite often the source of a great blessing and one's relationship with young people in general tend to be very positive.

On a different level, Venus shows the type of partner or person that attracts you. The type has to be charming, polite, well-dressed, and of course, good-looking, romantic. You tend to respond well to mental stimulation.
