Hiya Friends

Please take this as an observation only, but I am puzzled as to why, amoung my Cancer friends&family, anger ALWAYS seems to be bubbling away, just under the surface.

There seems to be a very high incidence of liver/gallbladder troubles (in the group I know) & outbursts of anger are very common (My Father, Mother in Law, Best friend & her boyfriend - just off the top of my head).

Has anyone any idea where this may be comming from? I know cancers may be called 'Moody' - but this is ANGER! Any ideas where this very stressed out Bull can learn to deal with these angry Cancers?

LOL

Hot-tempered yes.
Maybe we cancers get angry like that because we feel unjustified or threatened.
Anger can be a defense mechanism

In my expereince with an x-boyfriend who is highly Cancerian, it is not so much anger as acting out on their "passions." They get "into" something, be it a person, ideal, belief, whatever and can not let it go, then all of this watery passion builds up and manifests (duck, get out of the way!)

I think some of their gastro-intestinal problems have to do with keeping things all pent up inside and when they finally do let go, the physical aliments often fix themselves.

My x, was so passionate about not letting me go that he acted out in awful ways! Did things that are far beyond the law. Their passions get the best of them and the less evolved ones have a problem dealing with it.

As far as a Taurus handling over emotional, watery, passionate Cancers, I have no clue. I am a Pisces sun female and am currently dating a Taurus sun male and I know I really have to reign myself in when dealing with this man. I live in the "ether" floating and drifing on a sea of emotions, am very poetic and often speak in metaphors and symbolism and this just leaves him totally lost. I do find that he is very grounding for me and makes me come back to earth for a while when interacting with him, so maybe you can provide this for your watery friends, some earth, stabelization, grounding, somewhere to direct that Cancerian passion and let it go appropriately so as to not harm another or him/herself!

Good luck, Terri

So we are hotheaded? I though it was my mars in aries. My father is a cancer and he also has mars in aries. Well, anger is an emotion...and we are emotional.

Nevel,

As Dolce suggests, with anger issues, take a look at Mars in the individual charts and Mars aspects from their charts to you.

yeah , i am short tempered . dont really know the resons .
but the anger isn't for very long.

why " thsi anger" ?
i feel the naswer lies in the justification thing that hip talked about .
again, cancers are the teens of the zodiacs , may be that too gives us an answer.

and again, i think , i personally do sometime tend to use violence or the fear of it for my benefits. ( but thats more of along term starategy rather than the short tempered anger that we are talking of )

I know the Cancer temperment, when frustrated - not nice. It's like they feel slighted about life in general. And they are up there with Scorpio when it comes to holding grudges. Except, they don't want revenge, just exhoneration. Someone to say "You're right, they're wrong". "You're good, they're bad". "You're fab, they suck". And once they feel they have someone on their side, they're nicer.

They need all kinds of support, but they're not likely to ask for it.

Lioneye has a GREAT point.
I just need encouragement and support.
I am not really capable of going after someone and taking revenge

My mother is a Cancer, and she has a short temper but she also has Leo in Mercury, Venus and Mars. So that may explain it.

My husband is a Cancerian.
I am Scorpio. I have no problems with Cancerians.
Moody yes! But usually I feel they are justified.
And the ones I know have A LOT of patience!
But a saying that to me expresses a Cancerian well is:

"Just because you feel I am moody, does not mean YOU are not very inrritating!".

I adore The Cancerian's honesty!

But here is a tip:
Do not assume the mood or anger has anything to do with you. Unless you know you are the reason. Otherwise listen if they want to vent. Or back off until they mull it over. It will pass. They seem to think deeply on things that bother them. It may appear as moody or angry, but did you interrupt them while they were pondering deeply over something? Work stuff, personal stuff, World affairs...they are often simply mulling things over. Leave them alone until they are through it or want to vent about it.
I love the depth of the Cancerian mind and emotions!
Do not play headgames or act cutesy, or vapid. Do not whine about nothing or play jealousy games. Do not lie to them.

Well, I´m cancer and I think all this anger has to do with keeping things to ourselves...we do that so much that one day, completely out of context, you go completely mad...but don´t worry, we cool down very easily, too...just give them an hour or so and they won´t even remember why they were so angry...trust me, it happens to me, sometimes.

good luck!

I AM CANCER ; HEAR ME ROAR! .. hehehe
I am Cancerian with Mars in ARies as well.
I do get angry sometimes at the drop of a hat. My friends dont even know what hit them half the time. Most of the time we do keep things bottled up inside that bother us and then one day in the future something small ..sets it off and we blow UP!
I dont get "revenge" like scorpians but; we do need to definately vent our angry / moody emotions on a regular basis. Writing in a journal can help as well or just talking to a goodfriend on occasion.

Cancerians need a strong base and good beginning in life. If they have been neglected, abused, or treated poorly, the flip side of Cancerian's sensitivity, and nurturing turn sour, bitchy, cold, blunt, obsessive, bitter underneath. All signs have their pluses and minuses. This can definitely be a Cancerian minus for an undeveloped Cancerian

This is only one example of a Cancer I know quite well, so these are just my limited observations.

De1979, yea I was thinking of that explanation as well. My stepdad is a cancer (with alot of scorpio), and he seems to bottle up every once of emotion he has and then spill it out every so often in a passive aggressive way. He never yells, but he'll do the most spiteful things to me when he's reached his boiling point. He tries to act so rational and earthy and have unemotional debates and lead everyone to believe he's made of rock when he's really made of water.
I can see this side of him when he sits in front of his stereo with his headphones on listening to slow, heartfelt songs for hours on end. Or when we go on vacation, he'll snap away at all of the beautiful landscapes he sees forgetting to add people to the pictures

Kat,
I think your right about the importance of Cancers having a happy childhood. My stepdad was neglected frequently and was picked on. Also he went to an all boys private Catholic school in upstate NY, so when he was released into the more crazy, co-ed way of life in the cty and in the military, I think he probably felt like a fish out of water for some time. I think he has so much hurt under the surface with no real outlet for it. I truly hope he finds peace so that he doesn't explode one day and harm himself or someone else.

I just remembered he has a Scorpio asc which explains a lot of this as well. And get this, an Aqua moon. Interesting huh. One thing I'm glad he has is Mars in Aries to help him assert and express himself.

I said something similar about Cancers once and some ****** off Cancer told me:
Oh yeah!? Well, just wait until you are lost and alone and needing a REAL friend who will actually CARE about you! The Cancer will be the one who shows up... IF they haven't got sick of your insensitive butt by then!

Or something like that.
I like my water in the form of Scorps and Pisces, but see, I remember this bit of advice and try to apply it. Thanks whoever you are... my detached Libra mind doesn't remember and I am certain you have already become sick of my insensitive butt by now anyway.... Thanks for the wisdom though, and I thought it should be passed on...

WOW - Thanks everyone for your help

I think I may possibly be the most sensitive and emotional Taurus I know (I always cry during Medium and that is possibly the problem.

Whenever my Dad/Mum in Law/Best Friend are in a mood - I always feel like it is directed at me. I just feel that. It makes me sad & stressed out to think I made someone angry.

I just find it so difficult when they just sit there, holding all that emotion in with a sour look on their face (and smoke comming outta their ears!)

I just don't know how to detached myself from their moods...

Thanks again

I DID have anger issues most of my life! Mystical Dream actually found that from other aspects in my chart.

Experience taught me that "An angry man defeats himself" and hence am calmer now. A recent business asociate who is Cancerian told me he had a gall bladder surgery a few months back! There is something to that hypthesis.

I have a friend with Mars in Cancer. Now that is unhealthy!
He has the most impossible inexhaustable and powerful wind. He also let's off from the other end now in the form of involuntary passing of trapped 'energy' (he calls it) from his mouth. It's so peculiar. He sounds like a little dinosaur or something. He say it's because he's going through an emotional clearing process. He must have alot of built-up emotion that's all i can say. Mars in Cancer is not a placement i'm envious off, sorry.
