Hi all! I am new to the board but not to Linda's writings. Have been a beleiver in her writings for years years years! Anyway my issue is that I have fallen for a Cancer man and I do believe he is "the one". Linda hits our relationship on the head in her Love signs book. I am trying not to let my Scorpio tendencies to feed anyparanoia and insecurities when he side steps and retreats etc. I just basically just don't know how to act and I DO NOT want to blow it with this man. Help! any insight, advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks !

If you aren't sure of something, look at him, you'll know what to say and do.
Cancer and Scorpio are on a different level.
You'll know. Be yourself. If you are prepared, and know Cancers tend to assimilate, back away, then come forward.. well, then you won't take it too personally.. as I'm sure you have styles he shouldn't take personally. Such is the way to human relations.. but between empathic water signs, I can't see too many problems in communication.. what are your other planetary positions?
He may not even be a traditional Cancer... we are all so different with the way the stars incline us to be. Or rather, the Astrologers claim us to be. A blending of uniqueness and inherent psychology.

well I don't know his birth time so moons and ascendants i have no idea. my moon is in pisces and ascendant is in Libra. his venus is in gemini and mine is in libra our uranus neptune and pluto are in th same houses respectively virgo scorpio and virgo and jupiter are both in taurus. my mars is in virgo his in gemini, may mercury is in sagittarius and his in cancer....thats what I know now.

Spend as much time in his house as you can, and drop by if he allows it. He will side step a lot with it's messy, etc..don't mind that. Bring him snacks and things to eat, talk to his family. Gain a little weight, but remember his home is where his heart is even if he is never home, make a presence.

That is so funny because what you said is so true. We are both highly compatable in so many ways and he agrees there also. He's the single father of two girls one 19 the other 11 . the younger one lives at home the older one comes home on the weekends at times. and I suspect the younger one had a hand at giving her dad a nudge in my direction. We both volunteer at the same fire station and the older one does as well. I get along with his girls just fine and the younger one has bonded with me so I guess that is positive. Oh and his dog LOVES me and he is usually afraid of people but he took to me right away. So things are going along okay I just hope they continue. Thansk for the encouraging words

wow, someone like me ...hmmm.
I really need to find out the time he was born...driving me crazy now. Funny thing...he is 4 months older than me and we were born in the same general geographical area....we could ahve crossed paths before and not ever known it!!

It's possible his moon is in Taurus according to the chart I did at Cafeastrology.com and it sure sounds like him....oh and i hope venus in gemini is a good thing

It's true, Cacners will love you forever. No matter how angry I get with my Cancer at times, he always patiently waits out the storm. He may retreat in his shell, but he always patiently comes out and smiles once again.
Boy, does he love movies and food. We are always watching movies at home or go to the theater. I'm more of an action person, and am not fond of the tube. Since he so loves TV, I've gotten used to it and its grown on me. I do enjoy the nights out, I love talking over a nice dinner.
What he doesn't like is loud parties, clubs,large groups of peope, and drinking/smoking. He's very much a homebody which suits me just fine.

It feels like the general feeling for cancer men is good. I am a Scorpio woman and of the cancer men I have met,I have loved their friendship, but not to be lovers or partners with. They are too moody and sensitive for me. I hold these traits so it wouldnt work at all - it would be too watery and we would drive each other nuts!!!!

One of my favourite people was a cancer/cancer, but he was such a womaniser, I couldnt keep up with him - so lovely tho, but he would have driven me mad!!

I dont actually think two of the same element is always a good idea - seems to be too much and not balanced. As we all know Scorpio women are very strong and could end up mothering or pushing around a water sign if they werent careful. They need a very strong man.......and of the cancers I met, they didnt seem that strong, yet always very likeable!!

Just my opinion, good luck with this!!

Well, my guy must have the right arrangements of planets to make him as strong a person as he is. Its one of the things that attracted me to him in the first place. Someone who was as strong as me if not stronger. and I need someone like that. Other relationships i've had I was the stronger and that left an unspoken undercurrent of resentment or they would freak out if I in turn needed them to be strong for me. Just like Sheryl Crow's song "Strong Enough" "he's strong enough to be my man". But on the flip side he's very loving & sweet, gentle ,kind, caring. We match up very well, which is why I hope it all works out.
