Unfortunately, things are not easy here as they seem. Compati-bility and comprehension between the parties involved can be achieved only with sustained efforts. These two are likely to experience tension much of the time as their nature are so divergent and one's motives so difficult to explain to the other.

The Dog woman is an idealist whereas the Monkey man is an opportunist. This basic difference is bound to constitute one of their main stumbling blocks. Her acerb, morality-ladden criticisms he will find irritating and exhausting.

The Monkey likes to hover abound just to convince himself that he has not lost his freedom in love. But this will be viewed as unacceptable by the Dog woman who expects total loyalty from her mate and refuses to grant him any extenuating circumstances.

Further friction may develop over their intellectual differences. While she has definite ideas on every issue, he can be at times quite positive in his opinions. This will concern, among other things, her ingrained pessimistic stand and his inveterate carefree comportment.

She is likely to accuse him of irresponsibility because of his unrealistic attitude toward money. And he is likely to snap back, arguing that it is a sheer waste of time to worry about the material side of life.

The Monkey does not pursue the same objectives in his society life as the Snake. The Rat and the Rooster naturally feel admiration and even respect for each other. He will appreciate her enthusiasm and dedication, and the Rooster woman will prize his thoughtfulness and sense of moderation. It is in misfortune that they will get on really well. Prosperity, on the contrary, has the effect of enhancing the negative aspects of their personalities and increasing the risk of conflict.

Finances are bound to induce some tension and frustration. The Rat man's sense of parsimony will certainly clash with the Rooster's prodigality.
