does anyone have any experience with this?

i have a problem, and it is in my chart, its me, and its resonating in my life,

heres the question, if your compatible with someone who isn't your ethnicity, does racism not exist in the relationship or does the compatibility expose the racism and make tensions worse between the two parties?

i was trying to mention this position i have earlier, but a lot of people ignored me, but i'm not going to stop because i need better help understanding it.

i have venus conjunct juno conjunct p.fort in sagittarius in the 4th house

i feel so out of place with myself, or is it normal for me to feel that way, with that astrological position, at my age?

i'm not afraid to mention that i feel this way either, because i feel things are better said then forgten, better dealt with then unacknowledged.

I've always been attracted to people of the "opposite" race. I'm African American, and all my life, I've been attracted to people from significantly different cultures than myself. And those who share my ethnicity, have given me a lot of racist hullabuloo about it, and don't associate with me because my personality is not what they "consider" to be that of someone who is African American.

I think it's ridiculous, and I don't seek out others of course, I'm just fascinated by all kinds of people.

But to answer your question, my current boyfriend before me has never met a person of a race other than White. He had a lot of stereotypes from how he was raised, negative ones. But once he met me, that all came out into the open and we dealt with it. There's never been any "racism" between us. There've been cultural misunderstandings but that's not the same thing, of course.

Generally, I've always gotten along with people from other races more than my own. Why? I don't know. It's like I'm outcasted/looked down upon by my own, and I hate it But I've accepted it. Maybe because I refuse to identify with just one "type" of person and consider myself far more worldly in my interests.

I've got Juno in Sagittarius 1st house, a Sagittarius AC with Jupiter in 3rd. Uranus conjunct AC...POF in the 9th house.

All I can think of right now

Well my 9th house sun makes me seek people of other religions and ethnicities. Im also a Saturn and Uranus in Sagittarius. Im Ukranian Jewish and my bf is Bengali Muslim. Quite a difference there. And racism does exist around us and certainly does become visible from time to time.

I second on what Alanabelle said, I get the same grief from my people because I don't fit some stereotypical set that a Russian jewish girl should be. But im happier with it. I am who i am, im proud of my heritage but I can also accept differences in others. So dont worry Neptune you're not alone. I think its the sagittarian energy though.

i felt the same way at my school and just around people that are considered my kind in general, (i'm african american too), i find myself being the opposite of people's expectations of my race, i like different music, i'm into different fashions, i like different foods, i read different books, and most of all, i'm a humanist, and i believe that there is an underlying reason or motive of a person's racism or jealousy, and i respect that.

thanks for the support guy's, couldn't have aksed for more,

its actually quite interesting, and sometimes hard to deal with that my venus/conjunction with juno & p.fort in sagittarius is in my 4th house, because my habits and potential relationships will seem to conflict with, my home, ancestry, and environment i was raised in.

Thanks again, ladies, for sharing your experiences with me, very valuable.

love you all!

Strange coincidence that this topic came up.
I very recently realized that 3 of my friends who are in interacial relationships have Aquarian Ascendants.
I do agree with Sag though

Happy Birthday beautiful Bud

You're very welcome Neptune, always glad to help. Its very hard when relationships come in conflict. But in the long run if you trully feel like you are compatible with someone and you just work, race really won't play as big of a deal. And parents do come around eventually *fingers crossed lol* i mean they do want you to be happy!

Awww thank you so much Lala!! Its interesting you mention it my bf is an Aqua ASC

My boyfriend and I are not of the same race, but our ethnicities are not too far off from one another. He's Latin (an almost-white Puerto Rican) and I come from an East African nation that has been influenced by everything from the Portuguese to the Asians. There are alot of similarities we have found between the two of us because of the whole Portuguese-Spanish connection. Although there are some differences as well having to do with his being Western, and mine not being Western.

I do catch flack, but strangely its from African Americans even though I'm not really one of them. And frankly, I've never given a rats a-- what they thought of me because I don't wholey identify with them as a group anyways (too many cultural differences). And strangely, if he's ever caught flack, its from White Americans he's known personally or otherwise because he's light enough to pass off for one and they therefore think he's one of them. Strange but true....

I have nothing in the 9th house but my Chart Ruler falls in Saggitarius and is conjuncted by uranus. Uranus squares my mars as well. My bf has venus sextile uranus and a possible Aquarius Asc or Capricorn one.

I'm always attracted to people from different ethnicities or countries. It's probably because of my sag sun and my moon in the 9th house.

Even though I’ve never been in a proper relationship, I’ve had "dealings" with men different groups, Asian (Pakistani), African, White English, Bi-racial, Greek, Jamaican, White Irish.

To me it really doesnt matter where someone is from, colour, race & ethnicity have noting to do with who im attracted to.

I like men from my own race (black) & men from other races.

Who your dating is irrelevant in London, my sister is married to a white guy & no one bats an eyelid. My other sister only date white guys <hmmm> & no one gives a damn (including black folks).

To be honest, I do find it as unusual for someone to *only* date people outside their race as someone who *only* dates men of the same race, colour really dosen't matter to me in regards to men - it's irrelevant.

I believe in diversity & the fact that colour/race isn’t an issue.......including your own.

I'm white and all my life I've been good friends with people of different ethnic groups. Back when I was in high school, my best girlfriends were black, Puerto Rican, Indian, Philipino, and white. My dad joked that when we hung out it looked like a meeting at the United Nations.

My first love was a sexy, biracial (white & black) Scorpio.

I wonder if the 4th house has something to do with it? Neptune, I noticed that you have your 4th in Sag. I have mine in Aquarius. I think both of those placements would make the natives feel at home with people for reasons other than nationality or race.

I'm also a Sag Sun. I have my p.fort in my 9th house.

I've always been attracted to people whose cultural background is different from my own. I have 5 planets in Sagittarius (Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus & Neptune). On top of that, Mercury (which is the ruler of my Descendant), Jupiter and Uranus are also in th 9th House. My current love interest has his Venus in Aquarius in the 9th House. He comes from another country. Traditions and values there are completely different from where I grew up. So far, we haven't had any cultural misunderstandings (or whatever you want to call it), which is due to the fact, that we are both very open-minded people. However, some people outside the relationship, especially from older generations, don't exactly like the idea of us being together.

Does any one think that theres an astrological difference between those attacted to other races from their own to those attracted to people of every race?

Perhaps the Sag influence suggests difference & the Aqu influence suggests universal/everyone

Wouldnt Juno in Cancer Suggest (of course i'm generalising here)someone who likes to date people exclusivly from their own race Eg An Eskimo who *only* dates Eskimos.

Juno in Sag people who like to date outside thier race-
Eskimo dates anyone who isnt an Eskimo

Juno in Aqu people who dont care what race they date-
Eskimo who dates everyone, including Eskimos

Yea. I noticed through House wise and sign opposites. For example...

Sagitarius likes to date people form other cultures/etnicities/walks of life...Gemini though curious may tend to stick to people who have similar backgrounds and similar upbringings

Like my boyfriend is a Suger Sag (5 planets in Sag plus a bunch of Sag asteroids & Jupiter in 5th) but he's got an HUGE stellium (all those planets/asteroids conjunct) in the 3rd house.

My boyfriend refuses to date anyone who's not American and not from upbringing too unlike his rural..woodsy New England upbringing(He cannot stand city people). The person has to have similar attitudes, tastes, everything like that. I'm a different race, but my upbringing (which made me stand out from others in my race) is similar to his.

My sister isn't so much against dating anyone from a different race, but she says she could never see herself attracted to anyone else who isn't African-American...AND of light skin like her. (I'm dark, mind you)

She's a Gemini Sun and AC with Jupiter (7th house ruler) in the 3rd opposite...Saturn in the 9th house

I have a friend with a Aquarius DC and Uranus/Venus in the 5th house, and Juno in Aquarius who will literally date *anyone* regardless of race, species, age, psychological condition. Anything.

I myself have Juno/Cupido/Uranus/AC all conjunct. I KNOW I need someone completel different from myself or I'll get so bored. Only because I want to learn everything about everything and how can I learn things that I already know?

I have Juno in Scorpio 10 degrees. I have no planets or anything in Aquarius or Sagittarius. Lots of Pisces though.

I am Asian but I find myself attracted to the Scotish/Irish men. Any other race are not as attractive to me for some reason.

I have friends with a lot of different ethnic groups - African American, Asians, Europeans, Hispanics, etc, but when it comes to dating... I seem to exclusively like Scotish/Irish guys. It's those eyes... green/blue/gray/hazel... I just can't resist!

Honestly, the only thing that matters to me is that I can take the guy over to my house without him grimacing at whatever my mother decides to put on the dinner table.

On another note, I do make friends with people of many different backgrounds, I don't really limit myself.

Dulce Luna, if I remember well, your bf was born 1 day before mine right? If your bf has Aqua Asc, then his chart will be very similar to my bf's (as he's Aqua Asc lol)! XD

I was born at Macau, and I'm only 1/4 Portuguese (3/4 Asian lol).. I came to Portugal for some years already, and I came to like more occidental guys.. ^_^; I think that they can be more passionate and has a more liberal mind..
I grew up in an environment with mixed cultures, so I didn't find it hard to adapt..
My bf is Portuguese, and he's interested into Asian stuffs (food, culture, etc.).. ^_^

I think that a similar or compatible background is very important.. Culture compatibility can make a big difference..

*edit* Although I find different people interesting, I would still prefer my lover to have a compatible culture. ^_^ For example, I love Japanese stuffs, but I can't see myself marrying a Japanese as I'm not really interested in living in Japanese society. XP

Actually, I think remember mine being born 1 day after yours. Unless your's was born on the 16th..LOL. Either way, yours has a Libra venus and a Virgo mars. I remember a thread saying a strong virgo or Libra influence denotes a love of the Asian Culture (particularly Chinese and Japanese). I don't know if that could apply to my bf, although he does like Anime ALOT and always eats Chinese food whenever he's on break or something.

Yeah same here, only the other 3/4 of me is African (From Moçambique).

East Africa has been influenced to a point by Asia as well for the last Millenia (whether by cuisine, religion, etc.) but mainly by the Arab, Persian, and Indian traders.

I find 'interracial interactions' very stimulating...

being a mix of genes myself, i dont look any particualr region kind... I have dated africans, asians and europeans...
... nothing excites me more than a new challenge, but one hell of a barrier is 'language', if you do not speak the same native language or communicate very badly verbally, it is very limiting.... (I can speak english, french and hindi, so it covers a good deal of population but I am missing out a lot of chinese, japanese, thai action )

other than tht, beauty/ attraction has no defined limits ...... no gene/ color/ race is ever a plus or minus point for me...

it all depends on the attitude of the person... ATTITUDE SELLS..

......
sun and mercury in sag with venus in aqua.. does it influence???

I just don't get why africans are a deadly dark animal sort. I wasn't joking so excuse me if you mistook my statement for humor because I assure you, it was not. Just because we're discussing stereotypes and preferences of races and what not, doesn't mean you can come on here and say whatever you like, regardless of joking or not.

Sorry if I'm the only who took that offensively but I'm sick of all this reference to "Black/African" in a negative way.

Last time I checked this was an accepting and respectful place, so if you can't abide by those simple rules, I suggest you keep your mouth shut or your palms closed (since typing) and keep moving along.

And Mercury in Sag and Venus in Aquarius, whatever. Astrology does not affect a decent set of moral and respect towards others. So I don't wanna hear the cop out "sorry, I'm a SAG! cuz frankly it's BS".

There are enough insensitive and ignorant clods in the world, do we really need anymore throwing it in our faces?
