heart cakes - I'm sorry, I don't know what old dude thread you're talking about.

Anyway, I for one don't think a respectful tone is necessary (although I prefer it). But when you throw it away, it's silly to complain when it's gone. What I objected to was the idea that people who didn't respond to the OP in the way CF thought was the "right" way were out of touch with reality.

LOL OK I'll post some main points. I am not going to repeat myself again, so if anyone doesn't understand these or chooses to not believe them.. they can just refer back and re-read.

1. According to my standards of civility I was not uncivil in this thread.

2. I don't mind anyone calling me those names. They're entitled to their opinion.

3. I might think seagulls are aggressive.. That does not mean I'll make seagulls *change* to suit me or that I think they should change.. However, my opinion of seagulls continues to be that they are aggressive birds. I don't see a problem with stating that.

4. I don't think I am in any way *better* than any person in this thread, or that my opinions are better.

5. When I use the words "living on a cloud" I DO NOT mean - oblivious, stupid or ignorant. I mean it as - a bit lost or 'head in the clouds'.. out of touch with the ugly side of life - perhaps.

6. If I start answering your question, about what made me characterize them that way I will never end it, so I'm zipping it on that one.

7. My feelings towards this sort of situation, are pretty much *exactly* like what Venus de India posted, at the beginning of her post - word for word - page 1. This is what I am frustrated about. My frustration does not come from intolerance.

8. Seriousness of hurtful events - is not always subjective - but I can't elaborate on that - for the same reasons in 6.

9. As I said before, in this situation I think astrological interpretations would only serve to give false hope.

10. It was not directed at the first two replies to the thread. It was directed at the topic + the reply giving astrological interpretations.. which (as you put it before) reminded me of other posts/threads on here in the same genre.. It was frustration over topics searching for endorsement of "whys" and replies which give that endorsement. It leads to heartache, imo.

Adios dear thread!
