I think fire and water can work. I'm a Cancer and I've had more Aries chase after me than any other sign. I've been with my Aries partner for over 10 years and we can honestly say that we're best friends (in addition to the love stuff.)Me: Cancer Sun, Venus, Mars Sag Rising Virgo Moon Gemini Mercury Him: Aries Sun Sag Rising Gemini Moon Taurus Venus, Mars, Mercury As far as synastry, all my inner planets hit his 7th house. His moon hits my 7th and his sun my 4th.

Sparkling Sag!Anything is possible in love! There are just too many variables to limit it. I'm a sag sun, sag moon and my partner is a cancer (his sun sits smack bang on my ascendant in cancer though so that has a lot to do with it!) Check your mercury aspects, your venus & mars aspects, your ascendants and house overlays. House positions are also important...for example if you have a 4th house sun that gives you a cancerian 'flavour'. Check saturn, pluto and the vertex for karmic ties too. Hope this helps! Cheers, THS IP: Logged |

Hey sparklingsag! Not so sure about the watery house effect on a fire sign....but having lots of water signs in the fifth house I have it the other way! I feel quite comfortable with it. I have the gregariousnes of the leo house tempered with the sensitivity of the water sign.Incidentally I am scorpio sun married for nearly seven years to a saggy sun. But we have sextile moons and venus...my personal planets hit his seventh house. What does this mean by the way when my personal planets hit his seventh house??? Hey Sparkling, I am Cancer and I adore Sagittarian women, they are my bestest friends, and one of them born on 26 November, like you. In my family, we had two couples Sag/Cancer, unfortunately both divorced, but apparently the attraction was intense, while it lasted. And my brother is also a Cancer, and his best friend, and best man at his wedding is a Sag! Cancer and Sag is such a lovely combo, true friends (even though completely opposite), I love it! But, I have to say, Cancer-Scorpio is THE BEST of all the combos, they rarely part for good, once these two meet, very little can break them apart, they are mesmerized by one another. Funny, I am so infatuated by someone who is Scorpio but Sag rising, the best of both worlds for me! So you had a bit of bad luck there, I am really sorry. But I hope you can still be friends with him, though. Bye, Selena. IP: Logged |

I have a good example of Fire Sun in a Water House and of Water Sun in a Fire House:My friend was born Nov. 26, and he's a strange one when it comes to being a Sag. He's a conservative, he loves food [he's an excellent cook. he's even taking classes with his Dad], spends a lot of time in "comfortable" situations, wouldn't go on a camping trip with me if I paid him to [unless we are going to stay in a nice, air conditioned/heated cabin that's near a convenience store. Then maybe], keeps his promises [although you have to remind him..], and he keeps track of his bank account like no other. He wants to get married kinda young so he doesn't end up being 37 and still going to bars, trying to hit on 20-something year olds. It takes him a long time to do things... but if you tell him to do something that requires immediate attention, he'll do it... with some pushing and shoving, lol. He LOVES kids. He is: Sag Sun in the 4th House Aqua Moon in the 7th House Leo ASC He has no other natals in a water house, except his Aries NN is in the 8th House. I have three natals in all three fire houses. Cancer Sun in 9th House Scorpio Moon in 1st House Pisces Mars in 5th House My Sun, Moon, Mars don't create a trine orb-wise, but I think that that's pretty damn significant anyways. Also, the fact that they're all in fire houses.. hmm... I'm not sure what that means for me, but I've always wanted to discuss it. My Sag friend and I are great friends. He always compliments me on how I try to help others (although, I had yelled at him one time when he said that people take advantage of me [he was kinda blunt at the time about it]). I always tell him everything because he knows how to keep his mouth shut [scorpio mercury] when it comes to keeping secrets. We had a problem for a few months last year when he found out that I had romantic feelings towards him. He didn't talk to me for three months and everytime he thought I wasn't paying attention to him, he'd look at me. That was one of the more pain-stakingly lonely points of my life so far. He gets mad at me when I try to get away from a relationship too quickly. He's very very very slow moving when it comes to romance sometimes. Saturn in the 5th house would explain that..... Before I was really good friends with him, I thought he was Taurus/Cancer. I made him guess one time and he guessed Sag. Go figure. My Sag friend and I are just a strange paradox, lol. IP: Logged |

Hello, MoonPixie, Your example is really interesting, as your Cancer Sun is in 9th (Saggitarius) house, and his Sag Sun is in his 4th (Cancer) house. So both your Suns have shades of Cancer/Sag respectively. And lets not forget to add that Sag/Cancer is 6-8 Sun sign pattern according to Linda, so loooots of magnetism. I noticed that this is very pronounced also when someone is say Sag rising, and another person is Cancer, so that the Cancer person represents 8th astrological house to Sag rising. I noticed this in many cases, and also when 6-8 pattern occurs between the rising sign of one person and the Sun sign of another. I guess because this is the true 6-8 pattern, considering that houses are derived from the rising sign (1st house) etc. Has anyone else noticed this as well?IP: Logged |

Hi DolceLuna, I also think that Crab and Sag can be great match, but especially like in your example, Scorpio with Sag stellium. Interestingly enough, my Scorpio also has Sag stellium (Venus, Mars and Rising sign). So it looks like Scorpio Sun+Sag Planets is great with Crabs, so we have 5-9 and 6-8 pattern going. I think I like that a lot!!!IP: Logged |

Hi everyone,Thanks for your insights - interesting stuff! Right - I do still adore the cancer guy - I feel very maternal towards him. Unusual for me. Okay, i'm heading back to England in 4 weeks and am looking forward to getting back to British men:-) American men have totally confused me! I am not saying in a bad way and its lots of other factors too. I have fallen for a cancer and aries man. The aries has been so hot anc old which has totally frustrated me. He invited me for lunch then was like oh im busy!! lets do coffee - oh im busy! Come to my party - then see him on the street and he brushes me off. So, i've given up... Sparkling IP: Logged |

Hey DL, which sign is your Moon? (: Moon Pixie, I think you are onto something wiht your observation. My Crab has his Cancerian Sun/Venus in the 9th house and I have my Sag stellium in the 12th. He also has a Sag Moon in the 3rd and I have my Pisces Moon in the 3rd. I guess you could say I am an Archer Fish or a Seahorse and he is a Crabhorse (: The biggest conflicts we have are our respective 1st house Mars which want to be the boss. My Sag Mars usually ends up giving in to his Scorpio Mars because Sag tends to let things go quickly (:One of my Sag friends has been happily married to a wonderful Scorpio for 12 years (: They both have Aqua Moons and his Venus conjuncts her Sun and Mars. I think the Aqua Moon conjunction gives them awesome staying power. They relate to each other very well and are the best of friends. Sometimes he does get a little jealous (she is a very vibrant personality) but his Aqua Moon is laid back enough to go with the flow. IP: Logged |

Interesting thread.. Scorpionic Web's comment about his Sag gf caught my attention- "She has the typical "eternally happy" demeanor which is impossible for me to relate to. It was nice at first because it got me out of myself, but anymore its sort of sickening. I need understanding more than positivity"I think my husband could relate. I am a Sag sun, Scorpio Moon/Venus conj., Leo rising conj. Jupiter in the 1st, with a Sag Merc/Mars/Neptune conjunction. My hubby is a Scorp Sun conj. Mercury/Mars/Uranus, Gemini Moon in the 12th conjuct Gemini rising, with a Sag Venus. One thing that we really have going for us is that my Sag Mars conjoins his Sag Venus. Additionally, although the orb is too wide for a conjunction, my Venus and his Mars are in Scorpio. I think these aspects comprise much of the 'glue' that holds us together.. on the other hand.. Many of our conflicts arise around his Gemini moon being opposed to my Mercury/Mars/Neptune.. He really feels his emotions in this visceral, whole body kind of way..I have a hard time relating to that.. I have a tendancy to acknowledge my feelings and then let them sort of just wash over and beyond me. I don't like to dwell in my sadness or anger and he does. Or so it seems to me. I've never met anyone who can talk about their feelings for as long as he can. Conversely, he is frustrated because I rarely talk about my feelings.. he has to pretty much drag that information out of me. Don't get me wrong, I talk alot... just about other things.. like the state of affairs of the world and nature and astrology and our children, and books I'm reading.. rarely do I expouse upon what I'm feeling at any given point in time. It's the total opposite of him.. He can spend literally hours talking about his inner feelings and thought processes.. We've been together about three years now we are still trying to figure each other out.. IP: Logged |

LOL, I have the Moon in the 3rd. I intellectualize my feelings, endlessly talking them through. I keep a journal to avoid boring those around me with my analysis of feeling and for clarity.Yes, Fire and Water does take understanding and patience. There are times when my Crab and I just do not see eye to eye. Despite my water placements, I am in essence still Fire and vice versa for him. The most trying is the social situation. I love being around my people and spending time with friends. He likes being home or going to see quiet movies. I will spend quiet time with him, but I will get bored if that is all we ever do. He does try to be more outgoing and he will go out with our friends from time. However, it is not his cup of tea and this brings my enthusiasm level down a notch. IP: Logged |

I really don't think that fire and water can mix well. they can fall in love, but in the long run their different paths in life will cause them to sever the relationships."A Bird May Love a Fish But Where Would They Build a Home Together?" This is from both personal experience and from what I've witnessed. IP: Logged |
