I wasn't around to see the situation your talking about, Tink.

I'm sorry you felt hurt. I'm glad that you don't want to belong to anything/one but God and yourself!

When I said: I'm a total Tink fan... wtf?

I meant:

I AM a total Tink fan... wf? (as in, why would that even be in question?).

Very good to know. Thank you.

See, cult members aren't all so scary after all, are we?

I know for a fact that Meili and Shizuka are 2 seperate people. I do not believe that Meili and magidivision are the same person. I believe that magidivision is worth listening to. And I intend to do just that.

I also believe that an open mind and a calm disposition would work wonders for a lot of people on this site.

If that makes me a crazy cult peep in these parts - so be it.

Now stop sticking out that tongue, young lady, unless you intend to use it!

Would you believe me if I told you? Or would you think I was a brain-washed Branch Davidian type?

Well, I can't say that I will believe you if you tell me, because if I don't believe you, that would make me a liar. All I can do is promise objectivity.

BUT... I can say with a good deal of confidence that I will not think you're the brain washed Branch Davidian type

I thought I was being very witty and to the point..or should I spell it out in iambic pentameter? Shakespeare would love what I can do with that type of prose...LOL..ahhhh...to be in British Lit again..those were the days...

But, back to the world "cult" why are you taking issue with it Tink? Are you in a cult? What is a Cult? When people say "Hey you vile Christians" I don't bust a blood vessel over being called a Christian - even if some people think it's a cult.

I wasn't even talking to you..but to the people that cannot seem to come out and say what is on their mind but instead hide behind a poem. Hey, that is fine when one is trying to work out their anger, love, fears, regret..etc.. but when called to explain why we should follow a "master" I would like an honest "answer".

There.. I did it..I made it rhyme

What irks me...really irks me is when someone honestly asks Shizuka, MZ or others "Why should we follow you" and we get:

Once..love came upon a hickory dickory dock -

cats meow - God is love upon all that walks...

so eat beans for every meal..

There..I have spoken..call me master.

I mean COME ON!!!! How in the hell is a logical, anaytical mind supposed to say 'Wow...you are now MY Guru..."

LOL...okay - I said my peace..and still Tink, I have no idea why you are taking issue - but if my term "cult" was taken in offense then I am sorry - I should have stuck with "group".

Thank you for sharing your "peace", pid. I'm not sure I entirely understand it but, what the hell, I'll respond anyway.

I do not normally burst a blood vessal either. In fact, I can't think of anything that has ever been said on this site that would cause me to burst a blood vessel. These are, after all, just words.

To call someone a member of a cult is, I think, a moderately serious accusation. And I take issue with the fact that so many on this site have done so without any real proof. And I felt the need to defend myself a bit. Just as you felt the need to defend your poem. Human nature. I am one of those odd types where if the person standing next to me gets slapped I feel slapped too. Most of the time I can talk myself out of such foolishness before I act on it but ... sometimes not.

Yes, I see that you were not speaking directly to me - you did not call me by name, you said only "cult peeps". I did not realize that was a prerequsite to my posting. You felt the need to say your peace ... and so did I. Fair enough?

Thank you for the apology. And I apologize for making fun of your poem. Artistic effort should always be supported.

British Lit was one of my favorites too. Still is. See, even you and I can find common ground!

Pid, as tink said "These are , after all, just words. . May I ask what words tink or myself has ever spoken on Lindaland to merit the "cult peeps" judgement?

The Christ said "by their fruits ye shall know them ". What bitter fruits/words have we sown to call the cult jury in?

I still stand by my poem and reference to cult peeps....

Like I said people think that Christianity is a cult..people think that astrology is a cult (my totally religious mom prays everyday for me to get out of this astrological cult).

It all depends on where you stand and how you feel. I meant no offense..like I said I should have just said "group".

My poem was cool..I like it

Cults are fabulous. In a world where everyone's famous for fifteen seconds, the only following worth having is a cult following.

I have recently read through some threads concerning Masters and gurus and IP addresses and quite a bit of other stuff. I can clearly see that some people feel betrayed and some feel unjustly accused and other passionate flows of feeling are surging around. The search for the answers to the mysteries of the universe touches us all very deeply. May love and light ease all your hearts and may joy fill your days.

I really only want to address one thing…StarLover asked several times when her teacher was going to appear. I’d like to talk about the appearance of teachers in our lives and about the spiritual path in general.

Linda Goodman was right about one thing…you are your own guru. That doesn’t mean that other teachers don’t come along…just that your main teacher is you. That is why you have chosen the incarnation that you perceive. Every single second that you spend perceiving a physical world around you, your teacher is present. Everyone you meet, everything you see or hear, everything you touch or feel or eat, is there to teach you something. The trick for you is to figure out what you are supposed to learn from each encounter. A beggar on the street, a professor in a University, a Holy person from whatever religion, the friend you’ve known all your life and the child next door are all equally important as teachers and equally valuable to your search for the light.

As for some teachers being good and some bad, I don’t really buy into that. Everything we can possibly imagine has issued from the original thought and word of the Creator. Good, bad, light, dark, holy, evil, all are labels and perceptions that change according to whom you talk. All are here to help us discover one thing…the light within ourselves. Even if one shines like a beacon, it is difficult to see in the daytime. The darkness is necessary for us to witness how our light shines forth.

Also, all paths lead to God. There are many people out there who are convinced that they have found the one and only path to God. They believe it with all their hearts and they feel driven to show others the path and convince them of its singular qualities. Follow them or don’t, as your heart directs you, but realize that incarnation here is not a test. It is a field trip. There is no way to fail, only experiences to be presented. When wise ones speak of fate or destiny, they do not mean that you are pre-destined to move to Minneapolis, they mean that all things, all creatures, all thoughts, all souls, are manifestations of the one soul…the soul of God. Our bodies may be dust to dust, but our spirits are God to God (actually, even the dust returns to God eventually). All things return to God in the end, all paths lead to God, there is nothing that is not God. Jesus (and quite a few others) said that the Kingdom of God is within you. It is up to you to find it. If that requires a bit of darkness so that you can see your own beacon, so be it.

In some thread here in Lindaland long ago (I can’t remember which one) there was a discussion about how you can tell Knowledge form Belief. I might be mistaken, but I think it was you, StarLover, who said something to the effect that when someone is trying to convince you of anything, they are operating out of Belief. Those operating out of Knowledge don’t care if they convince you or not. I thought that was quite brilliant. It should help you tell within yourself whether you are coming from a place of Knowledge or a place of Belief in any given subject.

One last thing…there is an old adage about teachers of the True Eternal Mysteries Of The Universe. It goes something like this…”Those who know do not speak. Those who speak do not know.” That isn’t because the truly knowledgeable ones are hogging up all the cool knowledge and selfishly refusing to share it with the world. It is because some things are impossible to explain. At one time in my life, I worked with blind children. It was totally impossible to explain to them what the colour purple looked like or how light creates diamonds on a snowy field. There was simply no frame of reference for them to connect to. It is the same with many spiritual truths. That is why the satori…the moment of enlightenment…the cosmic connection to the mind of God, exists. In those moments, your eyes are suddenly opened. You see purple for the first time. And ever after that, even if your eyes are closed or you are in the darkest of rooms, you still know all about purple (or the mind of God). Those moments always come to us when we are ready, and not one second before. It would be useless to try to present Algebra to one who has not yet learned to count, and we are all blind children when we begin our lives. That is a gift to us. How much fun would it be to play Hide and Seek if, when you stopped counting and turned around, everyone in the game was standing right there? No fun at all. That would make for a very boring field trip. All the teachers, all the moments of enlightenment, are right there, hidden like Easter Eggs or laughing children, waiting for you to find them. My advice is to have fun looking.

Quite possibly the most enlightening words I've read here.

FK,

Your words are beautiful. I love your writing, and I have missed you SO much!

Thank you for coming back to us

Will you marry me?

... oh wait, I'm already married. Pooh. I guess even if I weren't already married, it would still be illegal. Oh well. I can still love you from the bottom of my feet to the tippy toe top of my head.

You are an amazing person!

P.S.

Please please please continue your writing in FFA about your fabulous adventures!

I've been trying to cut back on getting married, but who could possibly resist a same-sex polygamous long-distance union? I'm in, baby.

You made me think. Those that know don't speak, maybe because they realise that all is experience? There are no questions.

Thanks FishKitten,

Dear FishKitten:

You do have a thing with words. You do echo voice of most here that God is within.

You mentioned "My advice is to have fun looking."

I would like to add. When you look and find it, you would laugh why did you ever start looking for it in the first place

You know what I mean.

Peace
