Sorry Ozone... It sounds like you are in a deep rough patch. I'm okay.. things could be better, but isn't that always the case. My main problem is that I slipped down a couple of concrete steps (I am such a Saggie) and did a nice number on my arms and thigh.. I also have a fairly nice bump on the back of my head. I'm trying to get over that stiff kind of dizzy feeling.But... I'll get over it. I also was able to reconnect with a great scorp friend of my from Indiana. We talked for about 6 hours yesterday. I kind of dropped off the earth after splitting with my ex, getting laid off and moving. LOL... Hang in their Ozone.. it will get better.. I hope the gastritis clears up.. that can be extremely painful. Love and Light, ~Pidaua IP: Logged |

Pink made himself pretty clear from the begining, I think. Look at the post times and certain spelling variations. IP: Logged |

Still pondering this.------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll IP: Logged |

Surprisingly, it seems to be moderating itself. ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." Don't know if I quite agree with that statement, Randall..... it's too bad that an atmosphere has been perpetuated here where only the very thick-skinned and non-shy feel they can participate without being labeled or even attacked (aka "rebuttal").....IP: Logged |

I'd like to know who these people are. I'm neither thick-skinned nor bold and I don't have a problem. After all, it is politics we're talking about here. IP: Logged |

It is the same as it always is TINK. People want to censor one group because they don't like the content. This is on the same level as the "Racism in GU" thread and the subsequent racist threads here. There is no way this forum will be moderated solely by a Conservative or a Liberal. People couldn't get their way with trying to ban certain Conservatives by calling them racist, so they want to shut them up another way. I will admit that my battles with Rainbow have gone to far and have said I will refrain. Besides, I had already made the point I wanted to, so now it's over. We'll see though -but I doubt censorship will start taking over this site, at least not as long as Randall is still in charge. IP: Logged |

Of all the choices here I would nominate Harpyr, lalalinda, and AG. They all seem very fair to me regardless of their political leanings or opinions. For all the times I have seen AG attacked personally he never loses it and attacks back. He is calm and collected and very intelligent in his reponses and arguments. He would make an excellent moderator and I know he would be fair. What we need most is a hands on moderator who also participates in the threads here at GU and for that reason would be there to squelch any name calling or personal attack when it happens. Maybe with a few warnings at first and then either banning the person from posting or closing the thread. IP: Logged |

There was a time when I would have voted for AG, as well. However, knowing what we know about the KS fiasco, I would personally feel very uncomfortable with him as moderator. Also, from a more practical perspective, I believe AG professed a distate of any and all banning and censorship on his site. So possibly he wouldn't serve your purpose.IP: Logged |

What did we learn about AG from the "KS fiasco?" That he is reasonable, collected, and perfectly willing to stand up and take responsibilty even in the face of bitter accusations? (However founded or unfounded they may be...)I can't think of anyone I'd vote for more readily, personally. Johnny-seal-of-approval, that's right. A moderator who doesn't believe in censorship is the best kind, IMO. On that note, I still vote for Jwhop, too, btw. That is, if he want's the vote of a wacko, conspiracy-nutjob-leftist like me. Good balance, there. Jwhop and AG. It might, however, be a sign of the Apocalypse.
