Mystic, you might want to change your mind about voting for me.

I'm still working on that attitude problem.

Four?!

That's a lot. Maybe we should pick all non-voters and other-than-Americans. That would make a great Moderator pool. We can have MNF and LouisianaGirl with cancerrg and kiwigirl. Sound good?

Ummmm.. no... I think if we are going to have moderators concerning GU, specifically dealing with American politics (as this forum seems to do about 99% of the time) we need to include Americans. I have no problem with outside representation, but it needs to be balanced with someone from this country as well.

I also believe we need mods, or at least one, that DOES vote in this country - for reasons that are obvious and should not have to be explained unless one is too dense to see the point.

Many forums here have multiple moderators. It alleviates the responsibility or pressure one the "sole" moderator. Also, having at least 3 mods allows more of an objective tone, especially if they have different viewpoints.

From what I've seen, if there's one thing Pidaua ain't, it's closed-minded.

That right there would make me vote against you, Lotus. A moderator needs to respect *all* opinions - not just those that flatter her.

Eh, Lotus? I respect your opinion, too. Heck, I even respect Mystic Gemini's opinion, though she does anything but flatter me.

But to put down Pidaua while practically making-out with Salome (no offense intented to Salome) tells me something about your character, when I take into consideration what both of them said.

Hehe.

Johnny (sorry to butt in) i dont think it has to do with Lotus or Pidaua but different communication styles. Personally I have found Jwhop and Pidaua both kind of abrasive communicators in the past BUT I attribute that to my Scorpio stellium, maybe it is being too sensitive? Although I do have fire in my chart, but Aries seems to be the only fire sign I get along with.

So the problem isn't, in my opinion, with any knowflake, including Jwhop or Pidaua. Its in the interpersonal butting-of-heads. It takes me like 0.01 seconds to get offended by the, er, let's say, colorful language Jwhop uses. The man has somehow gotten a hold of the manual that says where all the buttons are, and how to push them.

Hmmm... how did my statement "it would be a waste of time to explain why people who don't vote would not make good moderators in a forum that is mostly about American politics" and adding that to further explain the obvious would only waste time (unless the person was dense) get so misconstrued as to be taken as closeminded? It is then applied to ANYTHING that you feel I may not agree with.

FUNNY... but I did NOT see ONE of these detractors offer an argument as to WHY they think I should apply the term "dense" to someone that cannot see that point. IF you feel that "dense" is inappropriate.. then please spill it.. let us know.. change our minds.... or at least mine.

I did not say that we cannot have foreign representation.. I just think that we need an American as well.

I do not tell Canada how to run their poltics, nor am I in a board that is mostly Canadian, French or otherwise with a forum that is almost soley concentrated on American politics.

LOL.. yes, I can be abrasive, but at LEAST I hear the other side of the argument and give credit where it is due.

I also find it incredibly funny that a majority of us Republican's are all for having a mix of representation (along with many liberals) but there are a few die hard, anti-American, Republican hating far leftest people here that CANNOT fathom seeing a fair representation.

Lotus, you as moderator LMAO.. that would be a HUGE mistake and the biggest joke of the century. The fact that you cannot differentiate your a$$ from a hole in the ground when it comes from deciding who is being close-minded and who is not is proof in point why you would be one of the worst offending moderators in LL history.

You celebrate only those that kiss that mistaken hole in the ground while bashing on people that state their opinion concerning the topic at hand.

I am hoping you do not apply that subjective narrow-mindedness to your real life outside of the computer...

Maybe you should write a lexigram concerning being a hypocrit... I am sure Lotus would should up well in that

Love and Light....

Wow, what a nice intelligent person you are, it amazes me you can get words out with your head stuck up your butt so far

that you pretend to know me, and judge me in such a manner, and to hint to the s l u t word
shows how low you will go... ...

Do you think you can get back up, NOW?

I don't think anyone has ever called me reasonable before. Feels funny.

Randall, if you insist on more than one moderator, why not 3 instead of 4? At least you would have a tie breaker. Or would you be the tie breaker?

Either way ... I still vote for Eleanore.

I thought four was weird also. Odd would always be better, but even five is more people than you really want to count on for moderatorship (too many opinions). Three would be ideal.

I think I'm ready to withdraw my volunteering for the job... just because it would be much more fun for me personally to push the boundaries and to be the subject of a Moderator's debate, than it would to be a Moderator debating how a person/situation should be handled. I'd always advocate leaving things alone as it were, so me as a Moderator would be kinda moot. How carried away can it get here?
