No, venusdeindia, the HMO's in the U.S. have not been that benevolent to insure the 50 million Americans without medical insurance. In fact, just last week President Bush vetoed for the second time a bill passed by Congress for medical coverage for the millions of American kids without medical insurance. Seems the money is better spent on war in his mind than the health of American children.

One of the things that is seriously wrong with America under this leadership and one of the reasons that I stated that the U.S. cannot presume to be a caretaker of the rest of the world when our government is not even a caretaker of it's own people.

You certainly do have a grudge you wear on your sleeve against the US...and apparently everything it stands for. I can understand you feel insecure in such a competitive society, feel inadequate to measure up. Typically, people like that blame the society for their every problem and have nothing good to say. That seems to be your situation Mannu. And of course, they're always looking for a guru who will tell them it's not their fault, the society is to blame. Up theirs.

And I have several gurus BTW. One does not have to believe in everything they say or do. Move away from herd. Don't be like a sheep who sticks to one another out of fear and insecurity. My teacher's work is finished when I become a master myself.
I don't have to believe in a superman who lives out there somewhere in the sky behind the clouds.

And what use arethe teachings if it cannot be applied in real life. Knowledge is abstract, wisdom is practical.

Life happens. It is herenow. I do not see any one evil nor any one good. I do believe in choosing greater good or lesser evil though. Its situational. Life is the greatest teacher, even more than whom we call our private Master/Guru.

If your question is I must practice Non-violence that all gurus/school teaches. Then I am following Non-violence. Did I kill a person? Is hurting a person same as killing? Even death is illusion. No one dies. The lessons gets carried forward. I am trying to live a life as I am. If my guru has a problem he will tell me. Since he is not even aware about my whereabouts, I can make you all my gurus and show me where I am perceived incorrectly. I can address that. If you think the God/Guru on the stick that I alluded to is offended, its between me and him. Why are you worried?

I am not being defensive, nor I like people who defend. Accept everything the way it is. Not what it should be or ought to be.
