In India, ancient story says that Venus (shukracharya) was the guru of demons who knew how to raise people from the dead. He later passed on that knowledge to the Gods.

In the west too the story goes Lucifer is referred to as the morning star. Even Jesus is obscurely referred to as the morning star at times.

Even the hindu astrologers assign positive characteristics to it (knowing its demonic) when they appear on one's chart compared to saturn.

I have a special admiration for that planet - still learning about it.
