Hi Katatonic!

Are you going to post any photos? If not will you describe yourself?
Do you look disheveled? Or refined? Are you mischievious looking? Are you frowny looking? What is your favorite feature about yourself?

I know at least one other older, but he has not posted in some time.
He is an intelligent, funny, sweet, sexy 72 year old!

A bunch of us are kinda close to your age here, by some 5 years or less.

BTW....are you on MySpace?

Kat,
I have no idea how to import photos, but just wanted to say how much I loved your music, reminds me of the current band 'Ting Tings', they have a punk vibe.

And jeez I love chocolate and italian coffee...
So you are Leo with Aquarius ascendant... I thought you had Aquarius strong in your chart from looking at your pics...

Who did you meet or hang with in the Celeb world when you were at your peak?

Wow, that's crazy :O a mainstream band member! Well, sure it's *indie*, but if I can find a lot of youtube results, a wikipedia page, and various mentions, that's good enough for me.

Music is good, but I got to say, I really don't like the singing :/

And you're the guitarist, right? Hence the name Kat/Kate? And that would mean you have been in two band, The Slits also? Lots of initiating energy in you?

And for the record, I'm probably the youngest person here, at 16.

So, I gather you have a Pisces ascendant? Since we could easily find out your information on the internet I see no reason to try and hide it. Is there any chance you'd post your chart?

And I think I may have heard the Mo-Dettes on Randy Bachman's Vinyl Tap, but I'm really not sure, maybe not.

Dare I guess that your myspace handle "Rollerskate" came from this song??

I had a girl, Kate was her name
We used to roller skate together
Now it will never be the same.

Now she's gone, she's gone, she's gone, she's gone
To that great skating rink in the sky.

I remember that day
As if it were yesterday
We were skating side by side
In the fast lane on the motorway

Now she's gone (gone), she's gone (gone), she's gone (gone), she's gone (gone)
To that great skating rink in the sky.

She was skating way too fast
She was far too daring
When she crashed into that truck
In a shower of ball bearings.

(In Elvis talk)
They took her to the hospital
But it was far too late
She died in the ambulance and
And that night, that night I,
I burned my skates.

Now she's gone (gone), she's gone (gone), she's gone (gone), she's gone (gone)
To that great skating rink in the sky.

I had a girl, Kate was her name
We used to roller skate together
Now it will never be the same.

Now she's gone (gone), she's gone (gone), she's gone (gone), she's gone (gone)
To that great skating rink in the sky.

Thank you John Entwistle for a fabulous tune

PS: You a fan of Snails-Pace Slim, Rev Otis and Zsa Zsa??

LOL zala, i wish but i have never heard that one!! love john entwhistle to death though (sorry pun coincidental!)

when did he write that? i have carried my rollerskate tag since 1973, given to me by a friend at work because i got around faster and easier than anyone in the place -a LARGE restaurant/bar in boston...

but it also works well with my former profession and no one unknown to me would know to look for it so it gave me a little anonymity (except to friends) when i first went on myspace...!

as to the hamsters, just checked their site and seems i SHOULD know them, specially since my baby's dad is an essex musician, but don't recognize them from their current pics...i have sent a request and asked them!!

You had Otway in your myspace Friends, so I thought you might also be a fan of Rodent Rock
If I remember right, the Hammies toured with Otway and somebody else in their Mad, Bad and Dangerous Tour recently.....
You also had a few other friends I adore (Bonnie Raitt )

I'll upload Rollerskate Kate for you and post it -- it's a hoot!!
I also find it quite coincidental (synchronicity?? ) that you picked up "Rollerskate" in 1973, which was when Rigor Mortis Sets In was released.....

zala yes i noticed they are mates with otway but he's not on their page...?! i was a HUGE fan of john and wild willy barrett, met them very early in my english sojourn...willy can play about 10 instruments, often at the same time!! and john is just a perfect example of a one-off english eccentric...the hamsters sound great!

sunshine how bout kat a sunshine tonic? but you're all the way over in ohio!! is your name kingston or just your son's?? and what is that guitar? apart from fabulous?? as to intimidation, i used to be UNABLE to listen to my OWN stuff...took over 20 years to listen to the modes again!

as to the streak, i have to admit that watching my oldest sister turn hers pink when she put a red rinse in her hair kinda put me off! but honestly i cannot imagine me without it - the rest of my hair has been pretty much every colour you can imagine tho!!

wow kat, i am the same way exactly...i hate listening to my own music, singing espacially, or if the monitors are not right when we play out, i HATE it, i like my effects to be JUST so when we play out or it just sounds horrid to me. I play rhythm guitar and sing about two songs per set. Less if i can get away with it. more fun for me to just play and sing backups. if it wasn't for my s.o. i wouldn't play in a band at all, i picked up a guitar for the first time at 30 years of age and it was just something i wanted to learn that was just about me. you know sometimes when the kids are small mom's get lost in the shuffle of life and need to remember that we are still people too.

you know so many people want to go back and do things over again? I really am not one of them. i like now better than then.

kingston is my grandsons middle name.

are you in the states?

Did you hang with the Beatles and the Stones?
You are sooooooooooooo cool!

You have sun conjunct Pluto? (I'm a sun conjunct Plutoer too)

Did you meet Robert Plant? (the love of my fantasy life) That man oozes sexuality and magnetism...
