hmmm, mars is about how we take action, and sexuality. It's very commmon for men to have mars in the first house. This can show competativeness and sporty types and bit accident prone. Aries is typical for having scars on its' face/head, prob cos it's so impulsive and acts too quickly in childhood. So in Air signs mars wants to communicate, it has lots of fingers, interests, in lots of pies. Where mars performs is house and HOW mars acts is down to your aspects. So mars in earth, is practical and wants to get on and do things, prob good at DIY. In taurus would be very sensual, virgo wants details, worries and may like health interests, like homeopath or herbal type things. In cappi everything has to improve their social status and what others think, will cultivate people who are of use to them. Mars in water is 'tea and sympathy' types. in cancer will interefer with family, could make good chefs, in pisces go into the caring professions, hospitals, in scorpio would make good theatre nurse can deal with blood and guts, highly sexed but stubborn and possessive. mars in fire is about action, go where angels fear to tread. in Saggi will enjoy higher educ, travel and actively pursue, in aries it's about me, me and me got to be first, in leo needs to be centre stage, could be good at acting, gambling or military even.

"Mars in AquariusIt can be a little difficult to understand exactly what makes a Mars in Aquarius native tick. And that's absolutely fine with them—they enjoy surprising people. The tried-and-true methods of getting things done are far too boring for those born with Mars in this unique and original sign. Mars in Aquarius natives often have a rather original view of the world as well. These natives are generally quite proud of their independence. They are not easily pushed around with Mars in this fixed sign. Because Aquarius is progressive and open-minded when it comes to the world at large, it can be surprising that on a personal level, Mars in Aquarius natives can be quite obstinate. If they feel boxed in, they are quite likely to rebel. If you've discovered a pattern to their ways, they'll make sure they aren't so predictable the next time around. Being seen as "normal" simply won't do! With Mars, the planet of energy and drive, in an Air sign, these individuals get off on mental and intellectual pursuits. Aquarius is a somewhat scattered sign, even though it's persevering in the long haul. If there's a method to their madness, it isn't always easy to see. Projects are taken on with a shotgun-style approach with this position of Mars. " http://cafeastrology.com/articles/marsinsigns_pg2.html I relate to this so much! I don't really come across as a Mars Aqua to people. It's in house 10 btw.(It's even my 3rd most dominant zodiac sign!) People always can can pick up on my Gemini ASC. And then when people try to guess other things about me...they guess Pisces(Venus, h12 Merc), Leo(IC and S.Node), Cancer(Jupiter), and Virgo(6h moon and pluto.) But I will post a few pics...(it's really hard for me to find pics with out other people in them...since I haven't had a functioning camera in years) It's me back in 08 on the way to the Rick Springfield free concert in the D. Look at me I'm a total aqua rebel chewing gum with braces on! haha! And a more recent one from the spring walking for breast cancer in the D.

I don't think Mars directly influences the way we look. I think it's much more difficult to see someone's Mars sign compared to their ASC, planets in the 1st, Moon or Sun sign. Unless Mars is in aspect to the ASC of course, in which case it usually gives sharp, squarish features.IP: Logged |

Bumping this. I too have my Mars in Leo and I've often been told that my big smile is charming. I'm also tall and thin with thick hair on my head and yes, lol, I also think of it as a mane ;D I'm a Sagittarius Rising and previous research have noted the tall and slender physique. I guess this is the product of the two thrown together. IP: Logged |

Oh, but everything is of interest when it comes to Astrology. I'm 5'7 but that's tall already given South East Asia demographics. IP: Logged |

The Mars sign does not directly affect one's appearance, guys.At least not in my experience. Look for the condition of the ASC and its ruler first and foremost. IP: Logged |

Yes - I have definitely noticed Mars having a pretty big impact on the general physical appearance... It is not so much about facial features... just the way the person's overall body looks. Actually I have used this - to guess people's year of birth when I only had the date (from FB)... and I got it right a few times. When it comes to facial features and in particular eyes - I notice Mercury and the Moon... but primarily Mercury. IP: Logged |

--I agree about Mars not directly affecting one's appearance. That would be the Sun, Moon, ASC combination, in my experience. The only way that I can see Mars having an impact is if it impacts how much a person exercises/how much self-control and willpower a person has when it comes to sticking to healthy habits. I have a Capricorn Mars and it keeps me on track. I literally feel guilt and shame if I eat something bad, so I go and exercise right after it. If I'm going out somewhere, I'll plan my day so that I don't eat a lot/will not eat much the next day, sometimes both depending. If I don't feel like I've exercised enough, I'll literally say to myself, "hey, fat***, get up and move!" My goal is to stay on track, and having a Capricorn moon, though it can be vicious, helps me out a lot, especially since I can get tired a lot and sometimes be lazy. So, it does impact my appearance in that way, but not more directly. IP: Logged |

I usually look up several people - famous people or people I know in RL with the Mars sign I am looking for. You can spot similarities if you research it through actual pics of people. Also - it works better - when you pick the same degrees more or less. On astrotheme you can pick the sign where you want Mars - the degree and the orb. eg. If your Mars is at 18 Taurus... search for 18 with an orb of 2 or 3... and see who comes up. I am best when it comes to Mercury though - I almost always get the person's Mercury by their eyes..
Shifty Eyes - Mutable Mercury Direct Steady Stare - Fixed Mercury Intent/Almost Feisty Stare - Cardinal Mercury Watery/Dreamy Eyes - Definitely water Mercury! Detached but Friendly Eyes - Air Mercury Serious & Calm Eyes - Earth Mercury Vibrant Magnetic Eyes that almost have a red or orange tint - Fire Mercury You can probably match them up.. So Gemini Mercury for example would be mutable & Air... so they would have Detached/Friendly *and* Shifty eyes that are always moving around the room taking in information. IP: Logged |

Any planet will have something to say about one's look and appearance only if there are placed in the 4 angles! Not only 1st house. Angles represents our PHYSICAL ENTITY. 3rd, 6th and 9th are our SPIRITUAL ENTITY. 4th, 8th, 12th are our KARMIC ENTITY.IP: Logged |

Mars in Gemini 12th. I am 192 cm, very slender, have long slender piano fingers (everybody says that) and I move fast and have a lively expression, I think, but I have Mercury conjunct ASC, so I blame that for these traits. Though I relate much to my Gemini Mars as well. IP: Logged |

Every man whose essence I have ever been attracted to turns out to have Mars in an air or fire sign - I think because my Venus sign is air. My boyfriend has Mars in the 1st in Aquarius - someone said it's common for men to have Mars in the first? Maybe that's why so many have anger issues? .Someone also said Venus in the first gives an attractive appearance to the native. So, would Venus in the 7th give an attractive appearance to the native's spouse or partner? I identify all the way around with my Mars in Sag. I have trouble sitting still, quite a bit of musculature, especially on the legs. IP: Logged |

My mars is in Taurus as well as my ASC so in my case perhaps. But my Taurus Asc is around 29 degrees so I have some Gemini influence along with my Gemini moon in my 1st house. I do think Mars in Taurus effects me endurance wise, strength of the "bull" I can work out twice a day, six days a week easily. IP: Logged |
