No, not in Law and Order SVU, but in real life. Lawyers usually don't like their clients to say anything until they know all the facts of the case and know what the opposition is holding.

But maybe every lawyer is different. I still think it's prudent to see what her lawyer advises, assuming she can get one.

This is where I ask you to take it to your other thread. This thread really is for Cyn. I understand you both want to help, but this isn't it. Compassion - for her - and each other. Thanks.

That is prudent and I am positive that is exactly what she will do.

I am at the point where I will not do anything unless I have legal representation. I'm looking to put forward a complaint to patient concerns about the doctors. Looking to talk to my MLA about this. There is help in the community however I wasn't able to access source due to wait lists etc.

Today I feel sick to my stomach and I would never wish this experience on any body.

well the government should send a nurse to your house to help you for 2 years. Im sure you guys would have a system like that. My friend had a baby and because shes a single mum she has to by law accept a nurse to her house 3 times a week to help her with her baby. U should enquire about this program, its free and they help with everything. They even let you sleep and get rest while they are over at your place.

yes they should! I agree...

it's just sickening that they feel it's better to take away your baby from you - her bonding, the smell etc etc

They have no special services for moms who need help with normal babies - there are lots of help for special needs cases.

Cynnared, can i ask how old you are please?

Do you have financial support or are you ok in this area?
Is there no one who can help you for 3 hours a day, twice a week so you can catch up on sleep?

I feel so bad for you. xxxx

Cynnared, thanks

Your age is even MORE reason NOT to take your baby. I really hope and pray for you that this gets sorted out this week.
I am beside myself with worry for you because i know it must be killing you slowly and most painfully.

Sending you love and hugs because you seem so gentle and lovely

I'm quite livid now. The pediatric doctor in the hospital told me that the baby has to be fed every 2 to 3 hours in a 24 hours period. She told me this has to be done for several months......well that the Child Protection services meeting we wound out that the baby feeds every 2 hours in a day and cane sleep through the night. The doctors in the hospital were upset with me letting the baby sleep through the night and told me it should be a max of 4 hours that she can sleep. They raked me over the coals with that, but yesterdays discovery has me quite upset..........

Tomorrow we check in for a lawyer.......a well spoken of one.

i've never had a baby who slept through the night at 4 months but my youngest did at 6 months AND if you were breast-feeding and your milk was rich it is possible. x

I am sorry for what you have to go through, Cynnared.

What you tell about the doctors, sounds ridiculous and silly to me.
Actually my best friend had a baby 2 years ago, and he slept through almost the whole night, about 5 - 6 hours in a row.
It was never a problem. He was fed well, and still is as healthy as a baby can be.

I know that this doesn`t help you now, but I just don΄t understand how the doctors came to their conclusions.

Anyway I wish you much much luck with the lawyer. Hopefully with his help you will get things sorted out soon and can have your baby back again.

my daughter was sleeping 7 hours at about 6 weeks! and that was her limit till she was about 5! they're all different. and any doctor who doesn't know that shouldn't be in a position to judge you...good luck again, cynn!

I so badly want to send a complaint into the hospital but I don't know where to start.

Having the baby not here is painful and my anxiety has not settled.

I have a whole bunch of planets effecting my IC/MC axis in my chart and I have no idea what that means. Mars just went into my 4th house and will retro back soon......

sigh

I have a lawyer who I'm waiting to phone back - he has been highly reccommened. (This week he is in court all week along) Legal aide could not be set up cause there is no court date....but we can still talk to the lawyer.

I'm working hard at what i'm supposed to be doing. My heart still deeply hurts from the pain of it.

Thank you so much! Thank you all for your replies and wishes. I appreciate your support.

2009 was a terribly rough year on me. I think being physically ill with the pregnancy really put me back and I'm working on getting my independent self. I'm trying to go day to day now and working on rehabilitating myself. Today I can actually get some food down and my anxiety is not as bad as it was during the week. Family is home this weekend so that is calming for me.

Cynn

PS> we have been down to legal aide but we need a court date to get one.

(Nov 17th, 2009 to Nov 26, 2009) My infant daughter was in hospital for H1N1 and the service I got in the hospital for her was just atrocious. My boyfriend and I got treated very differently during our visits. Staff at the hospital were not on the same page as the others. We had a new nurse every day shift that would do things very differently from the day before. We would have nurses come in and feed the baby and others told me that they are not able to care for the baby but will be in later to check. I was told that I needed to weigh the baby and check her vitals and write them on a piece of paper for the chart. My boyfriend would stay most nights and they would let him sleep and a nurse would come into to feed the baby. The first night I slept in hospital, Nov 20, 2009, no nurse came into the room overnight and a nurse did not wake me to feed the baby. There was a clock in there but the alarm was not working. The second night I stayed there I was unable to sleep and the nurses then started a 3 to 4 hour feeding schedule. A person who needs to work a 2 to 3 hour feeding schedule per 24 hour period is apt to develop sleeping problems.

When ever I needed to talk to a nurse, most of the time the nurse could be found in the staff room socializing with others. They were not on break.

I really don't know what role nurses have or what their tasks are in that ward. Expectations and boundaries were not clarified nor did the nurses know what I was talking about. There was a lot of miscommunications and misunderstandings. Because of the misunderstanding, my infant daughter has been taken away from Child Services.

My baby has been considered to be high risk and it was ordered that she is fed every 2 to 3 hours in a 24 hour period for the next few months. I was told the baby was not allowed to sleep through the night and there is a maximum of 4 hours - and that was pushng it, said one of the doctors. The peditraicians believed that I could not be able to care for the baby called Child Welfare.

The baby is in foster care and sleeping through the night now - which contradicts what the pediatricians had wanted done in the first place.

I did not have any issues with how my baby's schedule was at home before she went to the hospital and our family doctor said her weight gain is doing fine.
