I dont think Glaucus looks like Denzel Washington, as in same physical features..like, i wouldn't pass Glaucus on the street and think, "WHOA...helllooooooo Denzel.."

To me, Denzel has that deep thinking intellectual demeanour and i see that in Glaucus..like Malcolm X or Martin Luther, they had that kind of demeanour too.

Not in the sense of physical similarity..well thats not what i meant anyways

Wow, it amazing how beautiful ppl are on here and how every single person's inner beauty radiates from their pics, its so profound the energy coming out of 2D pictures

Yeah, I agree with Diablo and the others: I wouldn't say Glaucus looks IDENTICAL to Denzel, but there's definitely a resemblence in the look.

DD, I too chose not to wear makeup. On special occasions I'll wear eyeliner and mascara, and clear lip gloss. But that's it.
I've tried it a couple of times, and I really don't like the feel of it on my face. Weird, huh?

Probably, when you grow up a bit, you realize that people have to like you for who you are, and if they don't, that is their loss.

I find this comment patronizing, because so many people (male & female) wear makeup for artistic value and not because they are immature or have low self-esteem. Much like the clothes we wear - it can be an expression.
I'd happily walk around naked with no makeup on, in broad daylight - although I'd get arrested, so probably not the best idea.. but I could easily do this psychologically speaking.. I'm actually more anti-clothes than I am anti-makeup.. I think people should be more relaxed about their own animality and that of others and the fact that we all have particular bodies.. There shouldn't be a legal requirement to keep them covered up. I don't know any other species that is so adverse to seeing another member of their own species naked. I find it extremely strange.
But I do *like* clothes (if they were optional & not required) - as an expression of personality, of emotion.. of what you stand for.. etc.. That's the same with makeup - its just an artistic expression for me.

I do understand your comment could be applied to particular people out there.. however I really resent the assumption that *everyone* or a majority of people wear makeup due to low self-esteem.
To some - it's an art like painting.

Vapor-lash: I'm sorry if you've found my comment patronizing.
I was only replying to DD's comment about not wearing makeup.
I was not thinking about self-esteem when I answered. It was just a simple comment that DD and I usually do not wear makeup, when alot of people do.

I'm sorry if I have offended anyone, especially DD.

Edit: when I wrote about people taking you as you are, I was thinking about DDs comment about transformation.

Capricorn Rising: Saturn in Aquarius Rx in first house, somewhat mutual reception (Saturn in Aquarius=Uranus in Capricorn)

Closest aspect to my rising is the Sun

=/...I tried to make these two as small as possible, my last was like JUMPING JALAPENO HUGE on the page..x_X;

Lovely faces by the way ^_^

braveheart - no worries

quote:

I took your comment, ie "when you grow up a bit you realize that people have to like you for who you are" to insinuate that wearing makeup is *the opposite* of being happy with who you are and feeling liked for who you are. This is why I mentioned self-esteem.

Some people are very good looking without makeup..

A photo say nothing. All the individual nuance disappear....

hey ho!!

I saw the comments re: make up and thought .. well.. I'll put this one up of me with no make up.. so hopefully others will too! It's taken in November when I was in Bali, I look so happy because I just got off a jet ski hehehehe

My lips are naturally that colour, if I wear anything it's just a gloss. The other photos I didn't have anything on, only eye make up/mineral foundation and for all you girls who don't like the feel of make up on your face - mineral make up feels like nothing! Seriously the best thing ever!

Vapor and Braveheart,

I wasn`t implying, either, that it is in some way a bad thing wearing makeup.
Actually I think it is just a choice between equal alternatives.

Ok, with all this talk about make up i couldn't help but be inspired by MsCandeh and post a few pics sans-makeup (ok, one im wearing mascara, but thats it, no foundation/concealor..completely barefaced as in the other ones)..thats me au natural, zits, bags, uneven skin tone with my messy room in the background to boot!

What im trying to say is, if you dont wear makeup, that's beautiful and if you do, well that just enhances or decorates whats already beautiful, like jewellery or whatever.

I used to be an exotic dancer and used to have to cake on the stage makeup so i could be seen in the dark and on stage under those harsh lights (esp cos im so pale, i refused to wear fake tan) and i felt beautiful as i transformed myself into my alter ego but i felt even more beautiful when i would walk out of there in bum clothes, hair up and makeup off and thats how id be during the wk cos after spending 2 yrs as a persona i like now how i can be myself, whole again and love now that ppl can see my inner self radiate through..unless i have a shocker zit or something lol

either/or..they're both beautiful (libra moon, venus taurs: very venus ruled here)

That's my lil 15yr old sis natural, no make up, she's a Cappy sun, Scorpio moon and Aquarius asc..she's going through the teeange yrs where she cakes it on everyday..like i used to when i was in high school..now that im 24, i realise that less is definitely more hahaha

Funkstar..u look like a mountain goat to me, looking upwards with those earthy green eyes looking for the next highest summit to conquer

I don't like to post my picture. The camera tends to hate me, most of the time (and for some reason, my face looks like a balloon, thanks to a little extra weight, and my cheekbones - which are big enough when I'm too skinny).

Glaucus - You look a bit like Denzel Washington who is a Capricorn sun (interesting that your father's sun was Capricorn). I sometimes get confused for either Leo or Aquarius and those are my parents signs.

I saw that, too ~ in his first picture.

.

Not at all. You look lovely, and happy.

I've been testing mineral foundation, because I've always hated liquid foundation (I'm awful at applying it, and the first few times I wore it, as a teenager, it felt like someone had spread polyfiller on to my skin).

Everyone here looks great, with or without makeup.
