Yes, I would do that, too.

Actually I have some favourite midpoints for relationships:

Sun / Moon
Venus / Mars
Sun / Venus
Sun / Mars: the pure masculine
Moon / Venus: the pure feminine
Moon / Mars
Moon / Pluto
Moon / ASC
Venus / Uranus
Venus / Pluto
Venus / ASC
Moon / MC
Venus / MC

I also look out for the Saturn / Pluto midpoint; this one seems to be extremely fated.

Of course also Eros / Psyche

And for friendship or basically good feelings I like these:
Sun/Jupiter
Sun / ASC
Moon / Jupiter
Mercury/Jupiter
Venus/Jupiter
Mars/Jupiter

Funny though, my Venus-Mars-mp is on 20°39 Sagittarius, pretty close to our PNE.

And Jude`s Venus-Mars-mp is on 6°03 Sagittarius, not only conjunct my Mars on 5°10 Sag and my ASC on 7°01 Sag, but also opposing the lunar ecclipse on 7°01 Gemini.

his SE inconjunct 1st meet destinn (0)
his SE cj 1st meet valentine (0)

his LE inconjunct 1st meet AC (1)

Well, I usually check it, because it is prominently placed and often triggered in my chart.

It falls onto 7°31 Taurus.
My asteroid ACTOR is on 7°31, too.
My POM is on 7°55 Taurus.

I mean some things are just too WHOA to be coincidental, aren`t they?

DD, after looking I found that MY saturn/ pluto midpoint is exactly conjunct Johnny natal Karma

and my Eros /Psyche is at 11.07 Gemini trine his DSC. (1 degree orb) And his psyche/Eros midpoint trine my DSC (2 degree orb)

I don`t consider soft aspects to midpoints, unless you have a planet there. But 11 Gemini is conjunct my SN on 10 Gem.

opp his natal saturn

I never realized that till now plus we have Eros square Psych in the natal as well.
Then in addition the draco pluto conjunct draco venus. WOW!!

No I am only using conjunction, square and oppositions; sometimes semisquare and sesisquare, like in Uranian astrology.

Reading some other posts made me think about checking the PNE synastry of other soul mates.

do you have that list? I can't remember who they were.

Johnny Cash and June Carter would be interesting to look at as they were very Karmic What do you think? (the one I did remember)
