Popcorn, that chart that you are referring to, is actually an excellent example that synastry works. Why do you think it was a weak synastry? http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/012888.html

well maybe the magi stuff works for some people but to me it is all bulldung. the only value i retained out of studying there stuff was the power of declinations and parallels, which are still way to complex for my general attitude to astrology.of course when connections in charts make no sense, or there is no factor in transits or progressions to explain something, frequently the parallels and declinations DO solve the mystery. i am too lazy/busy! too get into them all the time. which in no way negates their value for those who have the time and patience to go there! but the magi stuff in general is way too dogmatic and often just plain WRONG for me to bother with... DD. I copy my own from that what I write on this because I it give me some thoughts...Intresting to see synastri chart and 30 year marriage their chiron/mars in so hard aspect (heart break) work out so well. Chiron/mars square saturn chiron/mars opposite pluto/jup. chiron/mars quinkunx uranus. Chiron/mars conj DNA Chiron/mars square moon/psyche Chiron/sun square neptun Also composite have chiron opp uranus. It looks like chiron can do the relationship dynamical if other aspect are strong and bonds togheter. The man I was married in 15 year have his saturn squre my chiron 4'heart break asp his chiron quinkunx my pluto his chiron sextil my MC his chiron opp my sun his chiron conj my DC/Angel/asteroid lilith
my chiron/innanen square his saturn heart breake my chiron/innanen conj his moon/amor/pallas

By the way, in venusdeindia's thread, the composite belongs to a different pairing (notice the birthdays). IP: Logged |

raspberri, maybe instead of Magi, you should try to learn more about your relationship through the basics - basic synastry aspects and composite. That way, you can get an overall picture of how things can develop into.Synastry can tell where two people are compatible and incompatible, while composite can tell how the relationship can be. Often, these two charts are enough to tell the overall/main route of the relationship. Other details can be insightful, but they might be confusing or misleading, unless you can see the main picture clearly first. IP: Logged |

"well maybe the magi stuff works for some people but to me it is all bulldung. the only value i retained out of studying there stuff was the power of declinations and parallels, which are still way to complex for my general attitude to astrology."I agree with you 100 percent, but I was afraid to say the word, bulldung or similar because I didn't want to anger anybody and have people get on my ass. Declinations are regularly used by the cosmobiologists including declinations midpoints which are also what Magi Astrologers use. Charles Jayne and Kit Boerher were pioneers in the use of declinations in Astrology. I thank Magi Society for getting me to use declinations regularly. They use the Cosmobiology and Uranian Astrology/Hamburg School techniques and pass them as their invention. They really did that with the Magi 7 chart charts, and those are just the 7th harmonics. Also when we use ecliptic longitude and declinations, they are mixing apples and oranges. Declinations are equatorial latitude. It would make sense to use both ecliptic longitude and ecliptic latitude. Right Ascension is the equatorial longitude. Astronomers use only Right Ascension and Declination. Planets tend to be on the ecliptic, and so Ecliptic Latitude doesn't really show much unless you use maybe small orbs of 10 minutes of arc. I use ecliptic longitude, declination, and Right Ascension for a multidimensional view of the chart. "of course when connections in charts make no sense, or there is no factor in transits or progressions to explain something, frequently the parallels and declinations DO solve the mystery. i am too lazy/busy! too get into them all the time." Yeah....also parallels could pull wide conjunctions into effect and contraparallels could pull wide oppositions into effect. Of course, Solar Eclipse occurs with Sun conjunct/parallel Moon and Lunar Eclipse occurs with Sun oppose/contraparallel Moon. An object that is conjunct/parallel an object is an occultation. For example, I have Mercury conjunct/parallel Venus - a Mercury-Venus occultation. An object that is oppose oppose/contraparallel another object is an occultation too. For example, I have Saturn oppose/contraparallel Neptune - a Saturn-Neptune occultation. the declinations help determine the seasons The Vernal Equinox starts in 0'00 tropical Aries and 0'00 in the Declinations. The Autumnal Equinox starts in 0'00 tropical Libra and 0'00 in the Declinations. The Summer Solstice starts in 0'00 tropical Cancer and 23'35 North in the declinations. Winter Solstice starts in 0'00 tropical Capricorn and 23'35 South in the declinations. Objects that go beyond 23'35 of either side of the equator are called "out of bounds", and they are pronounced and are wild-card-like,unpredictable. My Mom's Mars is 26'53 South, and so it's definitely out of bounds. Yeah..it reflects her anger issues and her propensity to violence when her anger is out of control. Those are reasons why astrologers mix declinations with ecliptic longitude even though declinations is not a perpendicular coordinate to the ecliptic longitude like ecliptic latitude is. "which in no way negates their value for those who have the time and patience to go there! but the magi stuff in general is way too dogmatic and often just plain WRONG for me to bother with..." same here....especially with that Ceres,Sappho, and Sedna stuff. Good grief! Raymond

"Raymond,As you can see, this man has moon opposition Saturn in his chart. He is not capable of opening up to me like that right now. At least not until he faces his fears. But trust me, I know when I feel love and I guess you could say it's in his kiss or something of that nature." I just recently finished reading a book call2ed the 4 Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. The 3rd agreement was "Do Not Make Assumptions" I totally agree with that one. We human beings tend to make assumptions about each other without direct communications with other. We just assume that we know what we are thinking and feeling. A lot of times, we make wrong assumptions because of miscommunications. If he hasn't told you that he is in love with you nor told you that he is in love with you, how would you know??? Also...there are quite a few people with Moon-Saturn aspects that can express their feelings to people that they love.
I have Moon square Saturn with 1'58 orb,and it's only 48 minutes of arc in Right Ascension. I also have Venus contraparallel Saturn with 52 minutes of arc. I have no problem telling a woman that I love her. My only issue is that I tend to be very shy, especially with women that I am attracted to. Once,I am involved with them, it's easy for me to be emotionally expressive. I don't chalk that up to my natal chart either. I chalk it up to insecurities based on things from my past. any ways...I don't believe that you will know that he loves you,is in love with you until he tells you that he is.
I believe that you are better off asking if he feels the same way as you feel about him instead of making assumptions which can lead to getting hurt and disappointed. This happens to a lot of people that assume that others love them when they don't feel the same way. Raymond

But trust me, I know when I feel love and I guess you could say it's in his kiss or something of that nature." You DO realize that there is a risk here to be delusional about his feelings, don`t you? I am not saying you are wrong, maybe you are right, maybe he just can`t open up to you. But maybe it`s not that. Maybe he just doesn`t have the same feelings as you do. To me this last post of yours sounds as if you are saying: "I know better what you feel than you do." If that is what you are trying to say, you take away his right to make his own choice. But maybe I just misunderstood what you wrote. In that case, never mind. IP: Logged |

Here's the heliocentric synastry. I have no idea what it means. And by the way, have you guy's always had perfect relationships or what? It seems you're keen on making mine seem insignificant. IP: Logged |

rasberri, i am not going to try to disillusion you, because you are going to do what you're going to do anyway.however i have moon opposite saturn myself and my biggest problem in relationships has been opening up TOO MUCH - ie before the other person was ready! this is not an aspect that prevents emotional openness!!! it can create conflicts between desires and duties, choosing people who won't open to YOU (native), many other possible manifestations are available. so like several others here, i would advise not getting in too deep before you have a reciprocal relationship, that is if you don't want to be hurt - however i dont believe in hedging my bets when it comes to love, so as i said, i will not advise you at all. it is after all your reality and you will create it!!
