Lonake, I think that they say that it we all, when looking for a mate choose a person who is about the same level as us in terms of beauty, sucess etc I think this no doubt is true and perhaps for me I perhaps choose a nice man who is perhaps unattractive to others because I feel I have a better chance with him but it is not a conscious thing at all. To me I am just attracted to someone by the vibe they give out or their voice but looks are not my thing infact I would go as far as to say that I used to actually have a prejudice against very handsome men because I thought they would all have big heads etc. I have changed this point of view now as I have met many handsome men who are lovely people but still they don't really attract me. I have Venus in the 6th and I feel very similar. I went through a big phase for the same exact reason. Actually I'm still sort of like that, I regularly shun very attractive people for some weird logic, such as they get enough attention already so they don't need any from me. Ehh, so wat, lol. Yea, I'm more comfy with my own kind. True.IP: Logged |

I prefer to dress very plain and not make anything of myself self because I don't want people to think that I imagine myself to be pretty because I don't. ========================== Beth, What you said sounds extremely virgoish to me. I know it pretty well becuase I'm very virgoish too. So I agree with others that you're too critical of yourself.I have venus in scorpio and I don't pay attention to men's look at all. I even once thought they look all the same and I couldn't distinguish them lol. I once regarded myself as "unnormal" during my teens when my girl classmates were crazy about those handsome-looking celebrities. I only fall in love with "vibes" but I do care about my own appearance. btw I've found people with sun-venus or asc-venus conjunction not always good-looking but they tend to FEEL themselves attractive and people would find them attractive because of their confidence. As it happens I also have Venus Opposite Ascendant. Am I attractive or unattractive? My looks are average, I'd say. I also have a packed 7th house but the signs are Taurus/Gemini. Not everything is about looks, certainly not the 7th house. You have a lot of action in there, it's hard for me to imagine that you don't have some life mission involving relating to other people. Despite my interest in things intellectual or creative things always veer back in this direction. Attractiveness is a subjective quality. Who said there is one ideal body shape? There isn't, no-one on the planet would ever agree. If there was, then that wouldn't define attractiveness anyway. Confidence and the ability to get on with other people will get you further. Flicking through the thread someone has used the word 'self-involved'. If you are obssessing about how you look then you are denying your 7th house. It is about other people and how you relate to them - appearance is the rising sign and 1st house.

Someone needs a makeover!! like they do on Oprah 1st: look through 100s of magazines and find a haircut and colour you like, then book yourself in at the hairdressers and have a consultation as to whether it'll work for you and if not, what will and what will make you look fabulous. 2nd: Book yourself in for a session at the MAC counter and get their makeup artist to do your makeup and teach you how to do it yourself so you can recreate the look at home, they're trained in knowing what colours and makeup will look best and natural on you (and to suit your new hairdo ) 3rd: steal your most fashionable friend to take shopping for a new wardrobe that makes you feel like your reflecting your most beautiful inner self but make sure she tells you the truth!! And dont listen to the shop assistants cos they're just trying to fill a sales quota. 4th: Get yourself some nice lingere to wear so you feel sexy, desirable and naughty. I hope that works for you, let us know how u go hehe IP: Logged |

I dont believe a Natal Chart can be blamed for looking basically unattractive [ unless there is an exact Saturn or Pluto squared APHRODITE aspect or an affliction from MEDUSA. ] Looks are subjective in any case. Body Fat percentage is not subjective though. You can try workouts with a fierce resolve, like the cliched Rocky "Eye of the Tiger" workouts. 3 hrs of Cardio on alternate days and weight training to build muscles in the legs. The general physical well being will translate to you feeling that you look great. A positive feedback loop will start. Leg muscle growth automatically generates fat burning biochemicals. Skin friendly alkaline diets on top of this will create a tremendous makeover. Mars trine Ascendant is a certain booster for physical workouts. Frequent sex is the next step. The body has amazing secret endorphins that enhance beauty but the more you use them, the more they are generated. IP: Logged |

Beth - quote: Make up and pretty clothes look silly on me
I think you have to find your own style I'm thinking with Pisces on the AC and Neptune in Sagittarius in the 9th house.. I'd go for something that looks a little foreign perhaps.. in flowing colours, blues, pastels - sea colours - like sea green and dark blue.. I'll post some pics of clothes that I think might suit you considering your chart.. IP: Logged |

awwwwwwww you're very sweet Diablo! I do help my friends shop. And I often do their make-up as well. I love matching colours, I always have.. I think that's courtesy of my Libra grandmother. She's the artist in the family. Beth - I had a good idea while posting this..
You could buy the materials! And then design your own clothing - the way you would like it to look. I'm positive you'd be great at this with your Libra planets.. And then go and have them tailor-made.. You'd have to find a good tailor though!
quote: My skin is super oily with impossible to control blackheads and oil bumps even now
The only things I use on my face.. are: - pure glycerine soap.. make sure it has nothing else but glycerine in it, you should be able to find it in a health shop.. If not you could probably find somewhere to order it online. And this scrub: http://www.freemanbeauty.com/portal/store/store.asp?nProductID=19612&lngR ootID=5014&navigationid=5020 (edit: btw that scrub is called "creamy".. but I have used it often and it isn't *actually* creamy. My roommate purchased it once. I was reluctant to try it because of the "creamy" thing.. usually "creamy" things make my skin oilier.. but this particular one is very good) They've both been great for me, so try it for a week or so and see if it works. I'm Mediterranean looking with light olive skin and pretty oily myself lol so I feel you! Almost everything out there is for dry skin. Almost all soaps have oil and moisture.. You have to avoid it as much as possible. IP: Logged |

aww that's lovely, Vapor-lash..if only every chick could have a lovely friend such as you..we'd be feeling the bonds of sisterhood and all that cattiness and bitchiness would be erradicated somewhat.Gotta love the Libra, my grandmother was a seamstress so i got right into colours, patterns and textures. When i decided to go back to school i got into a fashion design course but my destiny is with psychology. Hehe, im so Venus ruled (Libra Moon, Taurus Venus)..i love looking at nice things and having pleasant, harmonious, balanced surroundings and environments. And most importantly...COLOUR COORDINATED (lil fashion rule here..PINK & RED are a fashion no-no lol) Seriously, when someone asks me what my fave colour is, ill reply: "whatever is aesthetically pleasing for the context its in" (How Libran of me hehe) IP: Logged |

lol Diablo, I know girls can get pretty catty. I always try to stay out of it. I bet you're a cool friend yourself! You do sound very Venusian My Venus changes at the exact time as my AC. It could be either in Aries or Taurus. But maybe I have Venusian traits simply because Venus is exactly conjunct my NN - regardless of sign. quote: Seriously, when someone asks me what my fave colour is, ill reply: "whatever is aesthetically pleasing for the context its in"

I do try to be the best friend that i can be just cos i've had so many bad, toxic ones. But the girlfriends i have now are really awesome, down to earth without the competitiveness.Lol as Venusian as i am, i'm still a tomboy at heart. Femininity is definitely an acquired art and if it wasn't for a Libra friend in high school who taught me how to shop and dress and act in public (big lesson for a country girl who's just come to the big city) then i'd be having the similar kinda problems as this fine Libra here who posted this. I hate when people lie..there is definate attractive standard in the world, seriously I wish all those friends and family of mine would stop with those BS cookie cutter comments.."oh your so pretty".."Kat your beautiful on the inside and outside"..yadda yadda.. Attractiveness has to do with how healthy you are on the outside and the inside and I didn't realise that truth until I actually got away from my family and friends.. Of course the guy is going to pick the athelitic, almost clear skin, somewhat 20/20 vision girl with good mental stability of course she's not perfect no one is but she seems healthy... Over me the poor eye vision, the oily breaking out skin, underwieght, depressed prone bipolar girl in and out of therapy and hospitals from attempted suicides it just is what it is and no amount of cookie cutting comments are going to change that..>.< Oh and for those beauty aspects with Venus and Sun I have it trine my ASC and it definately is not showing..>.> IP: Logged |

Chesire Kat, I am so sorry but i really, really dont agree with what your saying and its that type of attitude from other females that I've had to fight against my whole life. If you see yourself as ugly, bipolar, underweight etc etc then other people are going to think that of you too. YOU ATTRACT WHAT YOU PROJECT And before you assume i'm just another typical "athletic, 20/20 vision cookie cutter" chick, i've been where you've been with depression, psychiatrists, countless counselors, the prescription drugs, self mutilation, drug abuse, domestic abuse, self abuse, self medication..it wasn't until i started healing and nurturing myself, then it came through cos i wanted to project positivity in accordance with this new change in myself. I really hate it how people think the attractive ppl have it sooooo good then hate on themselves even more. Stop it! You are beautiful, start projecting that thought and you will attract beauty in all forms, not just visual or aesthetic. BE the change you want to see in the world, honey and start loving yourself cos the best relationship you can ever have is with yourself. Even what you perceive as flaws are what make you amazingly unique. IP: Logged |

Kat - noone's healthy unfortunately. 90% of the population has something.. It comes with the aging process. Vision problems are very very common.. I'm surprised you think any guy would care about your eyesight. I find practically everyone has either skin that is too oily or too dry.. When the skin is too dry you have other problems like you get sun-burnt easily and it gets all peely etc.. So don't stress about it too much. Its like comparing Monica Belluci (typical of a girl with oily skin) with Gwyneth Paltrow (typical example of a girl with dry skin).. I'm sure they both have their fan base completely regardless. Besides there are many guys out there with their own mental problems. I don't think a depressed guy would discriminate against your depression. Diablo - I agree with basically everything you said! Thank you. Stop with the self hate, it sounds incredibly whiny and "poor me". And its very UNATTRACTIVE. In fact, that's probably the most unattractive thing ever in a person so its got nothing to do with looks. I ended a friendship based solely on this (it kinda got unbearable when she got a nose job and effectively shoved her own head up her arse) Seriously, I've known hot, sexy as guys and girls who have what other ppl would think is a plain, boring girlfriends/boyfriends in comparison to "what he/she can get out there". Its what in your heart and inside your head that matters in the long run and that presides always. So fkn what if your not Angelina Jolie, nobody is. I bet you have 100 other BETTER qualities than that so focus on that instead. IP: Logged |
