By the way, i wear glasses too. Bifocals in fact for long and short distance with the half-moon at the bottom to read out of. It doesn't get much dorkier than that.

I think glasses make me look cool in a geeky way.

Lol i like the business-y look too, nothing like a power suit when your going for an interview (80s shoulder pads for that extra confidence boost optional), with the glasses...POW! watch out world!!

Lol @ Ami...as well as being mental one way or another, I'd be more inclined to say that men are like dogs and children. They need to be trained AND told what to do HAHA

Wow everyone, thank you so much for your input! A think a makeover is exactly what I need. The problem for the last while is that the way I would like to dress (and I have tons of unworn clothes in my closet) well I just don't feel slim or pretty enough to pull it off. Also I never like too much make up or a "hair do" as my venus in virgo longs to be a natural beauty, interestingly I love to use skincare products that are all natural like dr hauashka and I'm a veggie which is also my venus in virgo I think. You are all so right about my thing being a slightly exotic hippy look. This is the sort of thing I'd like to wear (minus the furry waistcoat and boots) http://blogs.dailyrecord.co.uk/fashionandstyle/upload/2009/02/folkfashion5.jpg
I think of it as a kind of beatnick/russian/gypsy look! Perhaps fitting with my Pisces rising which falls in the third decan which is the scorpio part of pisces.

I need to get on a proper nutrition and excerize program and stick with long enough to see results. I have attempted this before so many times but get downhearted with my attempts easily as even though I put weight on very easily it is very slow in coming off. For example the past few weeks I have been running around, forgetting to eat half the time and living off soup and tea and I have actually gained weight! So I need to find a way to stay focused. I am going to a close friends wedding in June so will try and make that a goal!

So glad you feel better about it, Beth Its just awesome to see you rise above the sh*tty feelings to be productive and DO something positive about it. We all go through ugly phases (or transits, lol)

And kudos on the healthkick! nothing is gonna make you feel better than treating your body with care and nourishment. You rock

It's all about confidence. All of it; 100%. I know skinny girls who are unattractive, and big-boned ladies who blow stick models out of the water. Why? Because they know how to WORK IT.

It's in the way you carry yourself. You probably think you look unattractive in nice dresses and nice jewelery because it's not you. You're not comfortable, and you feel awkward, which makes you look awkward. Just find a style that's you. Once you find that, go with it.

And honestly, looks are always secondary to the aura you project. You could look like an uumpa lumpa but if you've got charisma, people will drool over you.

Diablo hit the point!

at least in my opinion..it is only when you learn to love yourself like you are, with all the package, that you will put in second place if you find yourself unattractive or not..know why?

cause when you get to the point that you accept yourself, and love yourself, you will actually see the beauty that lies in you.you wouldnt care anymore about what others think-if you are attractive or not_-cause youŽll have the self-esteem,posture,self-confidence that you always needed to be happy.

with yourself.

hmmmm i also thought about getting adives from a fashion adviser for ezample,or personal stylist.there are places that you can make an appoitment and those people are hossom on discovering your strong qualities, the beauty in you that you dont see it now.

did you ever saw what not to wear with stacy and kelly? i leatn a lot with them!

Diandra and Meta-4, thank you for reinforcing my point. Totally loving the self-love theme here!

Just to give an example to further support what you guys are saying, to me one of the most beautiful women in the world is Beth Ditto from the band Gossip. She's big and fat with a heart, personality and voice to match. Watching her onstage performing live and being so comfortable in her own skin in front of 1000s of people, well it doesn't get much better than that

Being very Venusian ruled, i agree about the armpit hair thing. I personally dont like it either on any female.

But on her it doesn't bother me cos it goes with her look and personal agenda to break every stereotype and while it's displeasing to my eyes, it warms my rebellious heart haha

Kinda like how Lady Gaga's look only works for her cos its unique to her and her personal statement to the world.

It wasn't her face that attracted me, its that unconvential beauty, the breaking down of stereotypes, the F**K YOU if you dont like it cos i DO attitude, the strong voice and the personal freedom she's so adamant about expressing and how she stays authentic to her true self. To me that makes her so ******* sexy in a "feminine divine" way.

Meh, blame my Moon trine Uranus. Rebelliousness and the breaking down of rules really attracts me because to me thats a very beautiful thing.

See, beauty IS in the eye of the beholder

No, I totally agree with you here, Diablo. But then again I'm an Aqua Moon.

There's something so attractive about that sort of attitude. When you're different, and you know it, and you don't give a-.. hoot what anyone says.

instead of "overweight" can we use "generously voluptous hot mama's?" LOL

I personally like "voluptousness" it reminds me of all those gorgeous Renaissance paintings and anything different is beautiful to me. When its a question of health, that's a different story all together. But if that's what Mama Nature gave you, then its whats most beautiful on you.

At first, Lady Gaga annoyed me but it was because she rubbed me up the wrong way i was like, "Hang on, your special..i like you"

*Sigh* you just dont see that kind of individuality much anymore

My roommate has a virgo venus and is also a libra sun, he tends to be overly critical about his appearance and thinks hes ugly. I happen to think hes a babe.

Are you there out on LL certainly sure there are any unattractive people?

We are so difference. People I do not like... I can say I'm in 100 percent sure there are someone else who are attracted to the person I do not like and are attracted to..

Say if I have wrong

Flicking through the thread someone has used the word 'self-involved'. If you are obssessing about how you look then you are denying your 7th house. It is about other people and how you relate to them - appearance is the rising sign and 1st house.

I did. And it was referencing negatives on Sun conj Venus.

I really hate it how people think the attractive ppl have it sooooo good

Well, fact is attractive people are treated better. You really can't deny this, it's been studied many times to try to, possibly disprove it, I'm not sure. Why keep studying it, when it's obviously evolution. Attractiveness = health to many and people are geared to believe they possess superior emotional/mental traits.

I have Sun sq Uranus so I like bucking the trend.
