Hi Diandra, you're saying Venus and Jupiter square his nodal axis, correct?, and that Jupiter is NN ruler.
If so, squares to the nodal axis can, not always, but often ive seen point to significant hurdles to overcome along the nodal path as it were. I don't know if Venus/Jupiter are in aspect themselves but I think they're plugging into this dynamic from what you're saying. Look to house Jupiter resides, and also condition of its dispositor. Also for Venus. If the dispositors seem in not working order in this person's life then it might be appropriate to ease them with any influence you have into a mroe positive manifestation. Jupiter square nodal axis does tend to be very comfortable, too comfortable sometimes. Node conj asc is a positive factor for improvement in the natal.
But i'm not looking at the chart..I'd venture to guess that there are repeating themes on this issue. Just look at nodal rulers and what theyre doing, or post the chart maybe. I would look at it for you if it would possibly help ease any stress youre experiencing from this, maybe in another thread?

I agree with you CrazyAquarian...

Everybody talks about how they can see in a chart that someone is shy or lazy (example)... how is that different than defensiveness or selfishness?

Everybody has an internal, first response... For example- I'm shy. At first I respond in that way when I first meet people. BUT I'm aware that I do that, so I make a choice for that to not be my external reaction and go out of my comfort zone.

This is just a wild and crazy guess... but in my eyes part of my shyness comes from my Natal Neptune being conj my Sun in Sag/6th... but in my progress chart I have Sun conj Mars In Cappy/8th) that is very tight and will be tight for a long time (which to me showing that I'm a little more aggressive and out going?... don't know! LOL)

Aquas can be shy, usually when younger, but I have Neptune in my first house. Then my Scorpio Moon in my 12th house keeps me at a distance. But my asc is Sag, and there's the other side of Aqua and Mars in my first with Uranus. And my Mars is conjunct my Neptune and Uranus. And jupiter trine my sun and my sun in the 3rd house. So there are times when I can be very shy and others where you'd never think I ever could be shy. Im a bit of everything lol
So I think it is that Neptune for you since that's what does it for me. Although, aren't Caps kinda shy? I have alot of Cap in my too, but its not really in my personality.
