quote:
When feminine modes of wisdom are banished to the nether regions of the collective unconscious, they tend to manifest in disruptive, vengeful ways, but sometimes vultures, black mares, whirlwinds, and savage hounds are exactly what a woman needs to define her form and show off her best features.

quote:
Phenomenal! Look at you popping in like a ninja with exactly the thought I was looking for! *bows*

(What happened last week? Are you ok? )

This thread was like magic for me. First Raymond letting me know about the other myths, and then you linking them for me.

*kisses Lilith*

I thought I responded to this, I'm sorry. (I'm looking for one of the Scorpio threads.)

I'm not okay, but thank you for asking. I can't talk about it.

That book that I quoted from - The Tao of Equus - might interest you. When I first had the book out, I was thinking about quoting parts of the introduction in Ami's thread on transformation, because parts of it reminded me of Sagittarius (and from what I remember, was all about transformation, and the various ways in which horses have helped humans over many years).

quote:
I think women can relate to how there's this expectation for us to please men with our appearance/sexuality, and that it's like we're being good girls when we do. That grates on me. I don't need anyone's approval. A chase for approval gives the one approving power since we'd need to shape ourselves to their standards. My BML placements contribute to how possessive I am of my own sexuality/appearance. Those are mine and I use them how I want to.

I think I mentioned once before, that I could relate to this. BML is in my 5th, though - Pluto is in my 11th.

I have the Lilith asteroid conjunct my Mars, aspecting Moon, Venus, Nodes, Vertex, Uranus, ascendant and goodness knows what else. It's also the ruler of my Sun in the 6th. (er, Mars that is - conjunct the ruler of my Sun.)

let's all embrace our inner lilith!
mine used to make me feel less feminie or ashamed of my strong emotions or feel unladylike to have intense reactions.. now i embrace and love my own strength!
lilith conj bml conj mc.
its the strongest point in my chart. more than anything else making me fiercly independant.
i used to think it was the uranus pluto venus in 5th, but for sure its the lilith in me.

An older Lilith personification I can think of is George Lopez' fictional mom on the 'George Lopez' Show. Dysfunctional as she may be, I can identify with her on some level because I cannot picture myself being outwardly sweet and gushy when I get to be that age.

- My Moon is conjunct all 3 Liliths in Virgo and I'm trying to understand it in the context of being this interesting placement being in Virgo AND the 8th house. I think the earliest manifestation was dabbling with witchcraft in the 5th grade. And no, it was not for good purposes. We would gather around a tree and try to use it against people we didn't like. Superstitious Mom and Dad found out and quickly put an end to that....

I think this placement has made me obsessively body aware throughout my lifetime too (that's a Virgo thing). The whole temptress/femme fatale thing is something I completely disagree with, or maybe am just not consciously aware of. In fact, I just scoff at people who have to tell the whole World that they feel liberated by flaunting their sexuality because to me if you have to go there or get any type of validation, you aren't really free... just a slave to opinion like everyone else.

I'll read this thread later, when I can properly read it, and come back -- I hope!

I hadn't thought about my 6th house Sun, Benedict.

I got to thinking about this because I'd remembered being brave when I was a kid, as well as at certain times as an adult. When I said that to my mother, she nodded her head and said, "You were brave!" remembering certain things herself. When someone assumed earlier this year, that being in a new city, travelling, would scare me, I assured them that it wouldn't scare me much at all - in fact, something like that, that throws me out of my comfort zone, helps me to blossom. I've been told that I come off as being very self-assured, and that I did so as a teenager, as well (I had a good head on my shoulders, was very mature for my age).

Diana ~ welcome to my world.

I think I posted something about this previously.
My BML is at 6 degrees Taurus exactly opposite Pluto. (And my guy has his Mars at 6' Scorpio on my Pluto).

This is just an awesome aspect in so many ways. It makes one daring

Teasel, I actually remember not being afraid of things that would normally scare children, but having some pretty abnormal phobias like that of lice and pathogens. In my first memory of getting a shot (I think it was a booster), I didn't even cry....just remembered that it hurt alot.

I think Virgo Moon conjunct Lilith would probably be a Dark Nature Goddess thing....and having Neptune trining it makes it all the more enchanting.

Benedict, I was coming back to add that your comment about trying spells against those you didn't like, made me laugh - I could just picture a group of little girls getting together like that. I like the sound of the Neptune trine.

Yeah, we were retarded in elementary school.

On reflecting on my Moon/Lilith Conjunction in Virgo and the Neptune trine it recieves, I remember the Disney Movie Pocohantas. Completely disregarding the storyline, I think its really cool how some cultures can make nature as enchanting as that (mine included), it totally resonates with the whole configuration in my chart. But perhaps this should go in my thread since its Virgo related too.

I have BML conjunct Moon/Venus/Mercury in Aries/8th house (with Eris near them), and this stellium trines to the Lilith/Uranus conjunction in Sag/4th house.

When I was young, I've never cared about my femininity, and was more about coolness and acting boyish lol~ But then, shortly after started dating, I've been through a phase in which I've started obsessing about it. But well, guess that now I've finally reached the balance, where I'm at peace with my femininity.

-- the following is something I have been thinking for some time (a small rant stuck in my mind for some time lol), and I guess that it kinda fits my BML/Lilith aspects' feelings:

One of the things that I sometimes find it annoying is that there are so much criticism about women in this world, like about how many of them are obsessed with this or that and etc.. It feels that the world still lacks of compassion about women, and there are still many expectations upon them. Some women might be too emotional, have dependence issues or have insecurities about their own images/femininity, but the world could sometimes be more compassionate in analyzing the reasons behind these issues instead of only being critical and judgmental about women's issues.

Also, for example, when some woman uses some makeup (not coz of having insecurity issues, but just coz some of them likes), there's sometimes someone else that would start with all the "makeup = fake" and "natural is what's beautiful". Well, natural beauty is indeed the best, but what's wrong with a woman that likes some makeup? This actually feels restricting, that women are to be expected to be naturally beautiful and that if any of them uses makeup (even if occasionally), it's considered fake and being judged in some way.

I feel that women should do makeup or no makeup or sometimes makeup, or whatever they feel like doing without being judged. Whatever we like using or dressing or doing, in one moment or in another, we should be able to be ourselves without being forced to "be ourselves/different" (this is also another thing that annoys my BML lol about the whole "be different" thing now being an expectation of the society rather than being something that motivates us to be comfortable with ourselves).
