Things need to be destroyed and then built up again. There is a need for renewal, and purification (in the cleansing sense).

I think that by focusing on the positive aspects of pluto you will successfully resolve your 8th house issues and be able to fully activate your NN's potential.

Actually the whole transneptunian region/kuiper belt is about transformation. Pluto is one of many objects in the transneptunian region/kuiper belt. There are objects that orbit beyond it. One of them is even larger - Eris, and 2 others aren't much smaller than it - Makemake and Haumea. Those 3 objects orbit beyond Pluto.

Actually
Pluto and Charon are a binary system. Charon is actually Pluto's twin.

I, too, am familiar with the "get over it" attitude of many people. For some it is easier than others. Pluto and "get over it" are not friends! Pluto is not superficial... it must fully understand, connect, integrate, before it can move on. Anything less is just not possible!

I think it's harder to relate to or understand that kind of energy if you've never experienced it before. That's why us pluto people need to look after each other!

The feelings

The thoughts

Social self

My mother ran rough shod over the feelings part.
From all of your help, I am reclaiming that

The thoughts come from the feelings, often.

You feel something, recognize it and hopefully accept it ,not reject yourself as bad.

Your thoughts can be from a spiritual way you try to see life ,too

The social part is where my mother messed me up badly, too.

She would call me a hypocrite if I tried to be a gracious, considerate person

She ridiculed my desire to friendly, social.

She ridiculed my desire to have values beyond a barn yard animal

So, now, I have to try to put all the layers back in their proper place.

I ,always, felt I had to hurry up and heal that part of me so I could run far away from it like a contagious disease

I have seen that movie after all! I had forgotten all about it until you posted that clip. Too funny. I totally relate to the doc because the advice I give isn't really a big deal to me, it just comes naturally. I speak from the heart.

I'm so happy to hear that my comment about not leaving the 8th house behind made a big difference for you.

With my NN in Aries (and SN in Libra) my struggle is in following my own path and focusing on what makes me an individual. It's so easy for me to fit in and keep the peace... not so easy to assert myself. However, as I work on my NN it would be silly to forget or erase what I've learned from my SN. It's about taking those qualities of the SN and integrating them as you move towards expressing and living out your NN. That's true growth.

I hope you keep us posted on your journey, as I am inspired by your willingness to share it with me and everyone else.
