Very cool Ami.. you rock as always.
I seriously want to check that book out now.
It may have been an OBE. I remember loving the flying feeling but being scared to death that I was going to fall. And I don't remember many of my past dreams. This one I remember vividly.

So have you read the book completely? And do you practice what he says to do? Curious what you think of it...if it seems to help you at all.

Ami -

quote:
DO you actually leave your body with an energy body? Does your consciousness just expand so you can "see" these actual places?

Ah, I see.

What I've experienced feels more like the latter. It feels like I'm expanding to different levels, while still having my body as an outer, surface shell.

So that must be a major distinction between OBE and Kundalini. In which case, I don't even belong in this thread. My bad!

Please stay on the thread, Jane
It has expanded to Kundalini and OBE experiences

Thank you, Wink , for those sweet words.
"Soul Traveler" By Albert Taylor was my Bible.
He said it can take up to 3 weeks but you WILL have one if you follow the directions.

Jane, I think all my psychic abilities developed as a result of the OBE's.
They , somehow ,make you more attuned to the psychic world.

I am surprised that the Kundalini rising did not do the same thing.
I am thinking that the OBE's may take you to a higher vibration level than the Kundalini rising cuz you have NO awareness of current reality.

I am thinking that Neptune aspects may make OBE's easier but anyone can do it.
It may be like athletics.I am not athletic but if I practice hard enough I can learn lol

Anybody have dreams or OBE's that sound like that? Just curious...

I'd rather have Jane's OBE anyday :-D

LOL. I was just sitting here thinking the same thing, but in response to a sentence of jane's: that I'd rather be living it than researching it, too.

I don't think I've ever had an out-of-body experience. Someone mentioned the Silva Method, recently, in Universal Codes; I used a tape set of theirs, in my early twenties (before my then-pups got hold of a couple of the tapes), and by the time I reached the point of making my own workspace/office, in which to try things out, I was too nervous to do so.

I've had experiences more along the intuitive side of things, my whole life; it's since expanded from just a 'knowing' to a literal picking up of emotions and feelings from others - even those far away from here, having a physical reaction to something I have yet to learn about, that affects me, a few pre-cognitive experiences (like my mother, who had one in high school). I've wondered about kundalini, since 2001 (due to my own experiences around sensations - I almost wrote sexations Crikey). But this OBE thing still makes me nervous.

I've put the book on hold, but somebody else has it for now. I may have heard this man on Coast to Coast, when I used to listen regularly (I rarely listen now).

I'm very prone to these in the Winter and Spring. They're always more scary in the winter, and more...relaxing in the Spring. I believe it has something to do with the Solstice/Equinox...

I was absolutely terrified when they first started (I was about 14) but I have definitely taken control since then.

I've definitely experienced the "free fall" but they've recently switched to racing forward or backward which I find more relaxing. I don't like heights..and I think the fall was a part of what made it so scary. xD

Anicia, you've just reminded me of when I would wake up with a start, after dreaming that I'd fallen - the one that stands out to me, is when I woke up, right after falling from the bathroom ceiling. My eyes opened just as I was going to hit the bath.

Maybe I had a few experiences without realizing it. I went through a phase of having dreams in the first part of this decade, in which I was being pulled into the sky, and felt terrified. I'm trying to remember the name for another type of dream... lucid dreams. I couldn't control where I was going, though, so they could just have been regular dreams, signifying my feeling lost/out of control.

*edit. I've also just remembered one night, when I woke with a start, to a loud crashing sound, like massive cymbals had been smashed together all around me, at the same time. I thought at the time, that I remembered someone saying that meant a person would be coming back into their body.

You know what is interesting about OBE's?
One way to have them is to talk about them. Then, they go from your conscious mind to your unconscious.

On the way up to having OBE's ,your dreams get more vivid and easier to remember.
Last night, that happened to me.

I never looked at transits but I will check ,later.

I've definitely had the floating to the ceiling dreams too. I usually "wake up" right before I hit the top, because I get startled and take control of it? I don't really know.

The craziest one was after my dog died (I had her for about 13 years, and she had to be put down) I saw her. Everything was distorted (like, tilted to the side, blurry?) and I remember the house being like a grid. I was in the kitchen, reached out to touch her and got pulled back. I remember everything blurring and going backwards down the hall, into my room, back to my bed and that's when I sat up.

You have to learn to control them. It is a skill that has to be practiced.

Ami, LEXX, Anicia, & anyone who's had a few OBE's -

When you want to return to your body, how do you do so? Do you just need to think it? Have you ever had trouble coming back?

Yeah, I've been reading a little about it. Really doesn't do the experience justice. I think I'll write a glittery Kundalini pop up book. The market needs it.

From now on, I'll call those gag gifts where snakes pop out Kundalini Rising. Sorry. This is what happens when a Sag goes through it.

Jane
You ALWAYS come back. Staying out is the hard thing.
Any little wayward though triggers you back.
You are attached as long as you alive as LEXX said.

Albert Taylor has a website. He returns e mails and is very friendly .

He may tell you his birthdate.

Was the NDE scary?

Ami -

I'm tempted to email him but I'm noyvis. I've read a little about him and have a lot of respect for him. I feel I at least owe his book a read before I speak to him.

Mblake -

I saw in the music thread that we both have our Merc in Sco. Mine's at 26. Are we cnj?
