I always go after the one that I want. Every crush, guy I've dated, significant other. Only two guys recently has changed that . . . one of them I don't know his birthday and have no interest in finding out, the other I will talk about here.My venus is in Scorpio/mars in Pisces Guy is Venus in Virgo/mars in cancer So . . . I was kind of the one who initiated things. Lots of intense eye contact from across the room. You know. Then he came to dance with me, introduced me to his sister (even though i already knew her haha). We stayed up all night talking but about rather frivolous things, but we were obviously into each other. The next time we hung out he continued with the eye contact. he would tease me a lot. I was trying to ignore him, and he was obviously getting very mad and frustrated. He made a couple of critical comments about me (venus in virgo anyone?) and basically wouldn't let me ignore him (i could tell it was frustrating him, that's why I did it . . . I know, typical Scorpio mind games, I'm not giving us a good name). then when we were out together at the bar he flat out asked if I would kiss him . . . or he asked if that's what I asked him (which I very clearly hadn't at all). So I did. Then we made out for a bit and he continued to be critical of me. I got annoyed, he apologized. Then he invited me to sleep with him and I gave him a Scorpion's stare. That shut him up real quick. IP: Logged |

(I've noticed this with people who have the Venus/Mars trine and/or sextile. there is so much admiration and respect for the opposite sex). Alcohol relaxes him.. When sober he can be kind of shy sexually. (And he's a Sag sun LOL - not a shy Sun sign).
Please tell me more about this guy, Betty Boop. Is he your boyfriend? The man I'm interested in right now has this combination, including the Sagittarius sun. He seems a little guarded sexually; lacking in self-confidence. Also he seems to have a temper which kind of frightens me. IP: Logged |

Of the men I know astrological profiles about, here it goes:The Leo Man: Venus in Cancer Mars in Leo (He also had 5 other planets in fire, 3 in Leo) This guy was so sexy. He just oozed fire and passion but was very coy about the chase. That might have to do with having Venus in Cancer, which counters the advances of his Mars in Leo and his other fire placements. To this day we are still friends. He was my best friend first and then we fell into complete infatuation with one another. But in the end we just weren't right for each other. The infatuation lasted 11 years though. He was my one and only. It was just too much heat and not enough intellectual stimulation for me. I'm an Airy person and I need a nice balance of it in relationships and friendships. Too much passion not enough peace. But it was a blast and we had fun times laughing and just being merry. His Mars in Leo was conjunct my Venus in Leo which just added to our strong attraction. The Taurus Man: Venus in Taurus Mars in Capricorn This guy was also very attractive and sexy however he was very boring. He just couldn't hold my interest and he was a bit of a jerk. He was incredibly coy about his pursuit. I mean he'd stare me down but wouldn't do anything. Until he made friends with one of my guy friends and used that opportunity to get to know me. We moved quickly, he's dominant fire and earth however, I'm Airy and need mental stimulation and once again it was lacking. He was too boring and possessive and after 8 months of dancing in circles around each other I made like the wind and blew away. The Gemini Man: Venus in Gemini Mars in Cancer He was so much fun. He actually pretended to have absolutely no interest in me. Then we went to a mutual event together and I noticed his eyes on me and I decided to play the game. Even though I'm not a fan of games. The next thing I knew we were merry together for about a month or two. However it really was just a passing thing. He played way too many games. And I wanted someone with a bit more passion. He was stimulating mentally though. He was a Gemini and I'm a Libra so it was a descent match. But we were two flighty for each other.
The Capricorn Man: Venus in Sagittarius Mars in Aries We didn't date but he's my best friend. We both have Mars in Aries, and are very passionate and have a great deal of nervous energy. He's one of the wisest people I've ever known when it comes to judging and evaluating character. Our issue as far as not getting intimate and turning our friendship into a relationship is that we have very different values. I'm a humanitarian and I care about social issues and ethics and he is more concerned with attaining wealth, living the good life and climbing the corporate ladder. Even if it means stepping on others to get there. Not my cup of tea as far as relationships go, but we accept each other for who we are as friends. And we have an understanding that in order to be in a relationship with each other we'd want to change one another therefore it's just better to be the best of friends. Interesting thread! haven't seen any guy yet with Scorpio Venus and Pisces Mars (Cap Sun) - any input on that? here's mine, so far...Cap Sun Venus Scorpio, Mars Pisces Showed interest by being nice and hinting that we should meet. I initiated the first date and it has been a mystery since. It's like he is waiting for something (he is not shy). He has been mentioning kids and marriage from date 1, which I didn't take seriously at the time. Now, 5 months later, with the same "hinting" still going on I've started to take it seriously and are now giving straight answers. Hopefully he realizes now that I am as dead-serious as he is (?) and that I can be trusted, so we can get this show on the road . He is so different from any other guy I've ever met so I'm confused.. but trying to go with my gut feeling on this. I think he has a hard time reading me and vice versa. Aqua Sun Venus Pisces, Mars Pisces Got to know him by e-mail first (started talking bc of a mutual friend). Nothing would have happened between us if we would've met in real life first because he is sooo not making any moves at all. Too shy and not able to speak up. Avoids taking a taxi because he don't want to talk to the taxi driver. Or making phone calls. Or anything involving people he doesn't know. Gemini Sun Venus Cancer, Mars Gemini Couldn't get a grip on this one. I had his interest at first but then he slipped away. Gemini Sun Venus Cancer, Mars Gemini Oh another Gem.. We had a fun night out and suddenly he asked if I would kiss him. We dated a while, but he left quickly when he realized I wasn't that into it. Cap Sun Venus Sagittarius, Mars Scorpio He called me out on a date. Straight-forward and very intense person. With issues...

That's me! Although I am a girl, and I have my sun in Sagittarius.I personally always go for the guy. I am the initiator, and I can be shy if I have already developed a crush on someone. But if it is someone I just met and decided I find them attractive it is a lot easier. Like I can usually just make a move. Basically, when i feel i am more vulnerable I am more cautious. Usually I use a lot of Scorpio eye contact. Intense stares, coupled with a lot of deep conversation. But that is also interspersed with jokes and laughter. I do like to have fun. However, when I feel hurt or unsafe I withdraw until the next time comes across. so I can definitely seem hot/cold to whoever I'm pursuing/whoever is trying to pursue me. When I make a move I prefer to be in private, or at least away from people who know me. I am secretive, you know? I can wait months for the first move, even though there's been so much obvious sexual tension between me and whoever. I like to play the game. I like to have power. So give him time to wait for the right moment when he feels safe. My Mars in Pisces definitely comes out from time to time, just not as obviously as my Venus IMO. I feel awkward and shy at times. When I feel vulnerable or emotional I want someone to pick up on it without me saying anything. I like the pursuit to be sort of ethereal and transformative all at once (that neptune/pluto energy). It is not a light game with me at all. Which may be why I am almost always the pursuer. Like, for example, that guy I mentioned above I am pretty sure I scared off. I got mad at him for suggesting we sleep together so quickly and took it out by being a little vengeful and demanding the rest of the night. Not at all who I am deep down, when I am comfortable in a relationship or with someone I know cares about me more than just a fling. I am very carefree then (for the most part). EDIT: Since aspects and house placements are relevant I thought I should mention my Pluto is conjunct my Venus in the 8th house; my Mars is conjunct Jupiter, square MC and Saturn in the 1st house. My mars trines Pluto and Venus and sextiles Neptune. My venus sextiles Neptune as well. IP: Logged |

Wouldn't Mercury significantly alter the 'how you go about getting it' bit? For example if a guy had Mars in Aries but Mercury in Cancer, wouldn't that sort of 'chill him out' a bit with the whole chasing business?IP: Logged |

SaggiMC, Just to clarify. Assuming the viewpoint of a man. Are you saying that ideally I should be looking for a woman with a Moon and a Venus sign that aspects well with my chart? And assuming that I find such a woman whose Moon and Venus perfectly conjuncts mine, are you saying that the chances are good that it would be a perfect match? IP: Logged |

Not it wouldn't be a guarantee cos you gotta look at the aspects for the rest of the planets, your asc and houses too. No point having conjunctions to moon and venus if mars and mercury is aspected horrifically, or there are alot of hard squares. IP: Logged |

Venus in Aquarius, Mars in Pisces: pulls the passive whiney act and expects girls to respond to that. Errr... I'm certainly not attracted at all to my Venus in Aquarius. Nor am I attracted to my wife's Cancer Ascendant. Based in astrological stereotypes, I would never call up either Aquarius or Cancer types for a date. There would be such great fundamental incompatibility that it's not funny. I am anything but soft and whiney even if my Venus is in Aquarius. I'm robo Capricorn. Every woman I've ever fallen in love with is at least as aggressive and hard charging as I am, and my wife is more boisterous and aggressive than I am. IP: Logged |

Me: Venus in Aries, Mars in Gemini1st love: Sun Capricorn Venus Sagittarius Mars in Aries He was actually very shy, and not blunt at all like I would expect now that I know more about signs and whatnot. He took my razzing quite well. However, he was too subtle with his feelings and too slow for me to get the hint. I was also young and couldn't handle the responsibility for someone else's feelings like that at the time. So I pushed him away talking about other guys. It was high school so it wasn't that serious, but I really really began to appreciate the connection we had after it was over - when it was too late. 2nd love: Sun Leo Venus Leo Mars Leo We had a lot of fun when the mood was light, however when he began throwing tantrums every week about how I was behaving, it was draining. I have a Taurus moon, and was raised mostly around adults so I understand and certainly know how to take responsibility when I've truly offended someone. What I didn't understand was this fool was absolutely incapable of empathizing with me. Incapable. After it was done and over with and I was FINALLY able too look at the relationship objectively, I honestly believe he had Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Yes, he smothered me with attention but in the same breath it was very draining not having my need for freedom and space, and individuality respected. 3rd love: Sun Leo Venus Leo Mars Leo This one was different. He was fixed like a Leo but a lot more mellow, and I believe this was because of his Capricorn moon. He was also empathic (Moon conj. Neptune) which made him MUCH more bearable. The problem was he was very intimidated by my big personality. Perhaps it was draining on him the way my 2nd guy was draining on me (granted without the tantrums) 4th guy
Sun Leo Venus Gemini Mars Aries I instantly felt at ease with this guy! We were comfortable with each other while we had class and were on the same level intellectually. Emotionally though... not so much. I have a Taurus moon and he has an Aquarius one, I found him to be petty and try too hard to impress people with his wit after awhile. He thought very highly of himself but it was subtle (to me anyway.) Very big liberal though, unsurprisingly, lol. 5th one! Sun Aquarius Venus Capricorn Mars Scorpio This one is in the works currently. He's taking his sweet ass time and it's driving me up the wall. He definitely brings a palpable energy that reduces me to a fit of giggles (my moon can only do so much.) Definitely is into being sneaky when it comes to showing his interest. He's afraid to approach me because he doesn't know how I'll respond. He puts up a shield like he's a tough macho guy but he's actually quite shy and a gentleman underneath. I'm still getting to know him so only time will tell if he can handle my personality and stuff. 6th guy Sun Capricorn Venus Scorpio Mars Pisces Meh. He takes too long doing anything. I know he's interested in me and he gets mad when I flirt with and dance with other guys but he won't break up with his girlfriend. He does passive-aggressive things to get my attention. Definitely sexy though, I'll give him that. Still. NEXT. 7th guy
Sun Aries Venus Taurus Mars Capricorn This guy is usually mellow when I see him. Apparently he gets fussy when he doesn't get his way (according to my other co-workers) but he flirts with and jokes around with me a lot. He lets me get away with stuff he doesn't let others do either. He's kind of bland other than the sarcastic banter we have going on. Hard worker though and committed to his job even though he hates it. 8th guy (last one I swear, it's just that I thought it'd be valuable to post.)
Sun Aries Venus Taurus Mars in Capricorn Him and I became friends, and he also took my razzing well. It's just that sometimes I wasn't razzing and I was actually ****** off and annoyed but he didn't get it. We were friends for a long time until I started getting the feeling he wanted more. So I backed off, but he kept coming back over and over. I asked him point blank a couple times and he'd sidestep it. Finally I told him just frankly him and I would never ever be something and I haven't heard from him for months now and I believe he's deleted my number. IP: Logged |

My current guy = Venus in Aqua/Mars in Pisces I did all the chasing; this combo is super passive and just stares without making a move. Definitely drawn to very feminine women/girly girls, and wants to be friends first. Decided he was worth it and chased him till I got him - it was rather easy thanks to his Pisces Mars. IP: Logged |

Been reading this thread with some amusement. As a guy with Aquarius Sun, Venus in Pisces, Mars in Capricorn, I tend to go the traditional route, yet can throw curves balls of excitement and surprises my woman's way. I've read guys with Venus in Pisces and Mars in Capricorn described as shy/quiet/etc. This can be true. As far as having to make the first move, all I can say is, every time, and I mean EVERY TIME I have initiated things, it's rarely gone beyond the first date (and I've tried, believe me). The only time anything has gone any further is when the woman interested in me has asked me out. So, yes, we Venus in Pisces / Mars in Capricorn men can be quiet, but this is your opportunity, ladies, to initiate things. Also keep in mind, with each of these Venus/Mars placement, to consider other planetary aspects. That could compound things and explain certain Venus/Mars behavior more than those placements alone would. IP: Logged |

I don't think it's *possible* to have a perfect match ever. and when I say venus and moon, I mean TRAITS of your venus/moon. Look to Desc traits, planets in 7th then ruler of 7th. there is far more at play than just looking at sun/mars, moon/venus like I said earlier, Asc MUST play a part as they chemsitry factor, lust and attraction in the first play. so it's irrelevent looking at just those four planets, as the whole chart needs to be assessed. What would happen if you say, if there chart, every sun, moon, mars, venus were soft easy aspects, but their Asc signs were quincunxed. I'm a Leo sun with Gemini Venus and Aries Mars and the best compatibility I've ever experienced has been with my current Taurus Sun boyfriend with Aries Venus and Gemini Mars. He is quirky and intelligent yet doesn't take himself seriously. He definitely pursued me to begin with and I liked him right away so it was receptive. And we've been dating for almost 2 years and just moved in together 2 months ago. We've been inseparable ever since. IP: Logged |

I love this thread! I am scorp venus, mars aqua and i attract all sorts of people-never one category. I have asc. in gemini so often times gemini's or people with air or mercury prominent in their chart are very curious and friendly with me. The latest was a venus gem/mars scorp. He was intensely all over me mentally and also would always try to be near me physically. We were very familiar with each other instantly in rapport.I read on sasstrology that your venus in good relation to their mars, vice vera. is indicative of harmony. This makes total sense. As, my marsa in aqua loves venus in gem(or other airs) and my venus in scorp. loves mars in scorp. or other waters. Does anyone else feel this way? IP: Logged |
