yes Lucia

i was trying more to show that certain people do come here ONLY with the unique intend of.....provoking those who actually believe in astrology.

and with that i rest my case.

people like DD got fed up with dealing with thse people who do not take astrology seriously.

i have my own beliefs in Life,im more inclined to the metaphysical and hence my post, but that doenst mean that i do not of course, accept and respect other´+s people´s visions.which i do.

but if you look closely you will see what i mean.

LL is losing the best members and if im not mistaken,if it continues like this,i will be off too.

the sad thing is that----by doing so,these certain people will gladly clap their hands with joy but if they think wisely they will see that without the other extreme, they cannot really have interesting and thought-provoking discussions isnt it?

I'm not sure why this idea of black and white - all or nothing is being pointed out for a request for information/substantiation. Why does a search for knowledge trigger these responses? Wouldn't the same "black and white" view hold true for someone rejecting all studies and holding to their intuition and reliance on their own personal perception? (Even when contrary evidence is provided...) Yet it seems to be accepted here because astrology is the topic of this website where topics take on a more emotional flavor. Take this attitude elsewhere and watch the comments fly.

I don't understand the defensiveness? Its just my opinion, and I don't even believe astrology is 100% fullproof, just as science isn't 100% fullproof neither, so I don't feel threatened about your questioning at all. Most of the information you seek in relation to 'proof' is based on personal experience and correlation, which is where my original opinion came from. (Well actually, I guess correlation isn't subjective at all)

I guess to answer your question more directly: there is statistical research out there if you just google, but I'm not sure it would satisfy your curiousity. Most of it is based on relationship astrology and what brings people together.

This is ridiculous. It is like going to Billy Graham's forum, asking for proof that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, and then asking the members of that forum to try their attitude on other forums if their replies are emotional or not satisfactory. You are asking for proof of astrology in an astrology forum, you have got sufficient replies, just take it or leave it. Astrology practitioners are least bothered whether you accept the proofs or not. And yes, we are emotional about it.

If you wish to engage in debate, the right forum is Global Unity or Divine Diversities.

Enough time has been wasted on you.

I love you Lucia!! Yes I am an intellectually curious person with no fear of trying on new ideas and learning new ways. I'm fortunate to have the ability to think through complex ideas and see the possibilities. I am probably the oldest person on this board (47) and know a lot about spirituality through my studies in Unity, Course of Miracles, metaphysics. I have knowledge in many areas because as I kid I came out of the womb asking "why." At one time I accepted the teachings whole heartedly, but certain things did not add up.

The idea that I am searching for answers outside of myself is quite funny to me. All of our knowledge, experiences, relationships involve at one point in time or another --- the outside world or other people. We FILTER everything because of how we were nutured, our physiology, our culture, male or femaleness, etc. our past experience, our upbringing, our education, our generational group, our career, possibly biological shortcomings or strengths, or wellness, or illness, the weather.........

Finding the answers within require wisdom which is a balance of the intellect with the emotions. Frequently, I hear of people say that they are going with their intuition and feeling good about it, but the ego is a tricky character. Instead they may have satisfied a level of expected comfort or have a deep preconceived notion of the goodness or ways that something can fulfill a particular need. Later on they question why he behaved a particular way and I shake my head and wonder why she couldn't see what I figured out months ago. His actions and words did not mesh.

I once watched a TV show in which an excon would rob someone's house in bright daylight. It was totally staged and recorded on hidden cameras. He even joked to neighbors passing by that he was robbing the house. He was kind, funny, and nice to all the people on the street. No one called the cops though he was taking stuff out of the house with a tall latter going up to the second floor. He filled an unmarked van and no one gave it a second thought. The point of the show is that niceness sits well with people. They will drop their guard and disregard any suspicious activity if the person is nice and treats them well. Really Seriously. I've seen this happen. I can be a blunt person, but I'm honest and consistent in my behavior. I sometimes tick people off. People prefer someone nice over right even if the nice person is unscrupulous.

If you think you are really using intuition as yourself if you are also using sound reason. Wisdom is a marriage of emotions and reason.

I would hope that people in a Billy Graham service/forum would be free enough to say "I've lost faith, can you tell me what you know." Any negative reaction from the "Billy Graham" people would speak much more loudly and tellingly than the person who lost faith.

I suppose if someone in a family changed and went a different direction, other family members would feel threatened thinking the person's action was a rejection of their ways. So they attack the person who has changed.

Yes IQ I will be leaving soon. After a few days, I have plenty of information. I promise you I will not comment in the future as to whether or not I feel the information is worthwhile, but I will look into it. If you review what I wrote. I consistently asked for research and information. I spoke of my experience. My request was sincere.
