Holly, EVERYONE gets bashed on this forum. I have skimmed articles back years, and this place has a history of it... Generally, there are always a handfull of people who wanna come and douse out someone else's "fire"... it's just human competitive nature... IP: Logged |

NickiG,I thought Scorpios were supposed to like... understand everyone...? At least, that's what I've assumed with your super x-ray vision and psychic abilities... You also have a Leo moon... do you not relate to your Fire moon? IP: Logged |

yea i do, but my leo moon has been suppressed a lot since child hood, its only recently coming out...but um, i do tend to understand people, maybe not intimately but at least generally so i eventually begin to know the kinds of things that person would say, not in a detailed way though ------------------ put your foot down once, not stomp it over and over IP: Logged |

And neither was I, from what I've understood and SEEN....not everything begins and changes because of fire. Are there not so many movers and shakers that come out of the Aries non-fire cardinal brethren...or did I imagine that? Visionaries and explorers are all fire, or do they also have some mutable energy going on? That's why its better to look at modes in addition to elements, because then people don't have such a 1-dimensional view of the 12 signs.
Fire inspires, yes, but not always start or change things.

Well, since you've brought it up, I think it's interesting that Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn are Cardinal signs. Cancer and Libra strike me as such peace-loving individuals that really resent change (even sometimes Capricorn, too)... Libras seem to accomodate others more than putting themselves in leadership roles, being peace-keepers... Cancer is the sign of the emotions and mother... but I can understand how they don't like to be pushed around, and prefer to do things their own way... and Capricorns... I don't have much experience there. Just for the record, I didn't mean to imply that NOTHING would happen without Fire... only that things would move a lot more slowly My father is a Cancer, and while he will shock my mother with occassionally bringing home a new car, he's not like my Leo mom, at all... she's NUTS like Fire signs can be IP: Logged |

Well, in my opinion, don't be afraid to embrace that side of yourself. There's a lot of fun to be had with signs in Fire elements. You just have to be willing to be brave and really trust in your own durability... which being a Scorpio/Leo... That's a TANK of a combination IP: Logged |

indeed so...but growing up with my sister, whos saturn exactly conjuncts my sun, she always said to me things like "the world doesnt revolve around you" or "do you think your the center of the universe?" so i eventually learned to suppress that fire in me...if it wasnt for this site it would still be as my old self was ------------------ put your foot down once, not stomp it over and over IP: Logged |

That's what the cook-book astrology will tell you, but thats rarely what happens in real life. (And people wonder why I think my sign is so misunderstood) Alot of Moguls, good generals, great football stars, and boxers come from all three of those signs.
There's the reason that The Chariot is Cancer's card and no one else's. Yes, we are soft on the inside, but there's a hard shell covering that. Our dispositor also moves around the zodiac faster than everyone else's, so we're more diversely influenced by the rest of the zodiac than every other sun sign.

I can really relate to that NickiG... I have a Leo ascendant that demands I act like a queen, although my Sun in 9th is opposed by Saturn in 3rd in Libra...Constantly, I feel as if people are really trying to drag me down when I truly express the FIRE portions of my personality. But, having gone through a period where I supressed my personality for the sake of peace, realizing that people will walk all over you ANYWAYS (if that's what they're out for)... I realized what makes me HAPPY is to be honest, blunt, and straight to the point, no matter what... I like to feel good about what I say and do, and try hard to offer my best. So, all I can tell you is that you have to be willing to be brave. That Leo moon is going to want to show itself someday. And, you're going to have to be ready to clench those fists and give the person who tells you to "shut up" a nice slug... It's just part of life IP: Logged |

That's a really good point. Is that also why Cancer's tend to absorb so much from EVERYONE around them? It seems like Cancers are sponges for that stuff... My son is a Cancer Asc and Cancer Sun/ Saggy Moon... he's very strong and active, so I guess I'm in for a lesson or two about the sign. IP: Logged |

It could be, but I think that's more the nature of the moon itself...absorb and reflect back. The fact that it goes through so many signs means that there's so many cancers colored by other signs. Diablo here with the Libra Moon once said she felt more Libran than Cancerian, for instance. My friend's fiance (Cancer/Sag) cannot seem to drop the irresponsible Peter-Pan act sometimes-->> he is way too into his friendships for her comfort. And I have an insane need to organize and perfect everything and its mother while scaring everyone off (Virgo Moon Conjunct Lilith). We're all of the same essence, but very different too in how it manifests. That's the only way I can put it. IP: Logged |

Virgo/Cancer seems like a nice blend. I have a Libra Moon. In fact, I have a see-saw chart. One side of me wants peace and unity, the other side of me wants off her leash... it doesn't help that the 3rd house and 9th house are involved. I am truly all over the place. IP: Logged |

OH, and... to compound the problem, the cluster of planets in my 3rd house (including pluto) are all conjunct each other pretty much! Sun and Mercury are opposed by everything!!! Maybe there are more difficult charts out there. I think someone posted a nasty chart for her mother, and I realized I didn't have it that bad... still though. IP: Logged |
