Teasel - I looked it up and there are all these articles saying she's really sad about it and he's really sad about it and... I don't know....
I have a feeling they might still get back...
They were such a nice couple!

Nearly two weeks after announcing their break-up, a tense looking Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli reunited to do a little shopping with their kids in L.A. over the weekend.

While this is the first time the former couple has been photographed together since their split, they have yet to officially file divorce documents.

:edit: And I just realised they announced the break-up during Mercury Retro which started in Aries (so maybe it affected Jennie Garth, not sure what degree her Sun is at).... People can often go back on decisions made during Merc R.

The chase part is not, though. That's probably the biggest myth about Aries Sun. It applies more to Aries Venus and/or Mars.
My Mars is conj Neptune so I'm basically off in my own dream world until someone makes their intentions clear.. and my Taurus Venus likes things as traditional as humanly possible romantically.
I really kind of abhor the idea of chasing or being chased. I want things to develop more naturally and organically between us. If I don't feel like we are in sync.. I'm out.
And that feeling of being in sync comes from the reciprocity... and the overall vibe of the relationship.
No chasing either way *yuck*

I know. I've been bff with a few aries, so I know it firsthand. The one was even worse than me with it(alone time and detaching and needing space). They were also so not into talking about feelings and were not good at being there for you which was weird since they had a water moon! The other one was really good about feelings, they had a leo moon. I'm like that to a certain extent though. I use my space to read and research astrology, because I love that and I think maybe I do it wayyy too much, but I can't help it. So, yeah, I need a bit of space for it.

I have mars/neptune too and I'm the exact same way with relationships. I think mars/nep can be that way due to the neptune influence. We want things to happen subtly regarding romance which is a neptune influence.

All the aries I knew were into the chase. And also games. But that doesn't mean they're all that way. The one had venus in aries too, so that changes things up a bit, but even the ones with just aries sun were into that. And they were vocal to me about playing the game. All did the push-pull with people. They'd draw them in, then rebuff them, then when the person got the hint and retreated, they'd draw them back in again only to repeat it. Aries can only want what they don't have and love attention, even if they don't admit it. At least all the ones I knew did. It's a theme I noticed with them. But like any signs, it can vary from person to person.

Maybe they (garth and her hubby) will get back together. I forgot they announced it during merc rx. They look really estranged in that pic though. Sad.

Oh, my picks for best match for aries are: pisces (yep, they can bring much needed humility to aries and open them up. Besides, they usually have something in aries to balance it all out.)

Aquarius, because they both get and respect the need for space and neither get too clingy, but someone needs to be the one to have some deep feelings and be willing to talk about them otherwise it becomes shallow.

I think sag is a good pairing. Again, respect freedom and space issues and they have a lot of fun together.

I see scorpio and aries a lot. There's something there. The signs are quincunx though, so it can tough, but there's a lot of attraction because of it. Problem usually is, they both don't like to relinquish control and one needs to or it will fail.

So you've met Aries people with just their Sun in Aries - who were like this? And no other personal planet to support their Sun?

That's interesting because I'm the opposite. I have a lot on my plate daily and I usually feel tired by the end of the day.. so I want my love life to feel very easy and enjoyable..nothing difficult and nothing challenging. It puts me off so much.. when people play games, because I want to enjoy the next phase of actually *being* together. Playing games drags things on unnecessarily. Plus my Taurus Venus is all for things that feel enjoyable. That feeling of them chasing me.. or me chasing them seems so hectic and not at all enjoyable.

Maybe people who prolong the initial stages by playing games - are actually scared of having a real relationship.

The other thing is.. it's really important to me to be with a guy who I can connect with mentally.. because I'm mentally hyperactive and I like to talk about a million different things. So people who are ONLY focused on love&sex.. kind of put me off. (edit: Actually -This is one imp. reason why Gemini is a good match for me!! :edit

When I read about people who play games and chase and all this stuff... the reason it puts me off... is because it feels like they are putting so much mental energy into something sexual. It makes me wonder if their brain just goes to mush in other ways? Maybe that is patronising.. but I just wonder.. if they were ever good at maths or creative writing or legal studies/law or languages or philosophy or astrology or *anything* at all - other than something sexual..
Because of my personal planets in Cap.. I can be critical of wasted time.. and sometimes when I watch these people going at it - I just think they are wasting time, energy and brain cells.

I have friends who really invest a LOT of time into finding a guy or a girl and who have read dating books and ladeedaaaa... gotta love the dating books!
I feel like saying: "You know.. it's not rocket science! You don't need a war strategy here... It's really not that difficult to get hitched"... unless I guess, they make it difficult *for* themselves.

I don't understand the question. Do you mean no other aries involved?

I agree with the rest of your post, 100%. I don't have time for that rubbish, personally, but different strokes.

I was googling when you were, and saw the same thing. I wonder what happened, but don't want to know either, because it's so personal. I saw an article in which she said she had no idea she'd be going into her new reality show (about living in the country) without her husband. I do hope they get back together.

Perry Ferrell of Jane's Addiction is an Aries MAN married to a Sag woman. Only slightly relevant.

Benjamin Bratt is a Sag; his wife Talisa Soto is an Aries

I remembered another cute Sag guy-Aries girl couple.. but they also split up. They were together for about 7 yrs: Hamish Blake (he's an aussie comedian) and Anna Jenkins.. You prolly haven't heard of them in US.

I really like him, and I loved her in My So-Called Life. She was good in Homeland, too.

If you continue to give them attention – they will form the impression that this *works* with women in general --- that keeping people guessing is fun, and keeps you at the centre of their attention.

You have to cut ALL attention. Losing you completely - is the only way to educate them.

The other thing is – People do not believe that you are genuinely upset, unless you leave.
Otherwise – they think their behaviour is either tolerable to you or attractive. So they have no reason to change.

So true!

Hate to ressurect a dead thread, lol but I've lurked here before and want to give my input...

I have had a TON of Aries friends...probably because of my Aries moon and Aries on my 5th house cusp. But from observation I have seen the majority of them go out with Cancer or Gemini men with decent to great results(of course looking in from the outside).
My Capricorn uncle is married to an Aries woman, but then again he has a Leo moon. I have another Aries friend who is currently engaged to an Aquarius, dunno his placements but she's a Virgo moon. He's not a typical Aquarius either, physically clingy and protective over her. I like Cap/Aries and Aqua/Aries together, more so when the Aries is female.
Um, I've known an Aries/Leo couple but it was very volatile, but I hear there are success stories. All my Aries friends were usually put off by other fire signs. Although I've seen this happen with fire signs in general. It's all in the moon/rising sign I suppose.

I've met potential good matches for me in all of those signs ^ (other than Cancer).
But I still have a soft spot for Leo
The fire sign relationship is not one that people would see as 'smooth' from the outside. But we LOVE it. I'll quote something from LG when I get the chance.

I mean - there are exceptions of course.
But a trine is a trine, so it is generally lucky

Not sure if I already mentioned this here - but the semi-sextiles can also work long-term (sooo many of the couples in my friends and fam are semi-sextile Suns).. so Taurus& Pisces can be good depending on the rest of the synastry.

Yeah, I agree with you on the fire/fire relationships. Trines are awesome when they work, but for me it's always a hit or miss thing. This lion has a place in her heart for Aries and other fire signs, too.

And I've also seen sextile and semi-sextiles together a lot.

You are one of the few Aries I've known say that about Cancers. Of course I'm not implying all Aries like a certain sign. I've just seen many Aries-Cancer couples...it's made me scratch my head a few times.

Cancers drain me.
I have a lot of Capricorn influence, but Cancer AC.

I could like a Cancer with Leo/Aries in their chart. Otherwise it's too much for me.

I have seen a few as well. When the people are young (teens/20s/maybe 30s) it seems to work quite well for a while, at least.

But the two long-term ones I know of ended in divorce. Both lasted over 20 years.
They ended very very bitterly though (that's an understatement). One of them is my step dad and his ex.. The other couple are the parents of my Gem friend.
My friend was in tears every day during the divorce because of the way they were talking about each other and fighting like cats & dogs.
And my step dad, on the other hand, says really negative things about his ex as well. It is just so bitter all around.

Obviously these are only two examples. I am positive there are Cancer-Aries couples our there that have worked better.
But these are the ones I personally know about.

Once, though she was barely an Aries (literally exactly on the cusp). The others I lost interest in due to their own interst in themselves and inability to be interested in anything(anyone) else.

Well, obviously I take that quote to heart because I always seem to run into Aries despite not trying to or even wanting to all that much. Something attracts me in the short term but some kinda repellent eventually occurs.

Though I think it would be healthier to control my immediate impulses (typically felt around aries/aries venus).

May I ask ... ?

what attracts you to them and what repels you ?
do you have any placements in Aries?

what's your sun ?
