I always have ppl from the past reappear during Merc rx! It doesn't help that most of my friends are from over the Atlantic and re-appearing in my life (in the flesh) wouldn't be exactly an easy doing but it happens. IP: Logged |

let this be over already!i believe it's been like 1 week, i have been trying to implement a simple popup gallery function into my website. i have tried easily 10 different scripts, and each one either does not work, breaks something else, or cannot change the design to the way i like etc. etc. i'm at my wit's end! next one BETTER work so i can go ahead to the next, more important stuff already! Be thankful for this period it allows for reviewing/redoing/rethinking/retweaking... I like it when it helps me prepare for stuff. Sometimes it doesn't match my life rhythm but then it reminds me to slow down, go back and check things again. My Virgo SN loves it. But yeah it can be utterly frustrating (see my original post lol). IP: Logged |

This retrograde has been messing with my cellphone something fierce. It froze yesterday and took 15 minutes to reset itself. Then last night the battery died, which isn't anything major, but it shut off the antenna in hopes of saving battery power. I had it fully charged and wasn't getting any texts or emails, then I realized where you see the service bars it said "OFF." So I turned on the antenna and got all of the texts and emails I missed while my phone was comatose. If anything I had a very peaceful day with no interruptions. IP: Logged |

^^ Hey, you, I was wondering where you disappeared from the boards! Don't get me started on cells phones and laptops......... My phone's battery died as well and I can't find a replacement in this frigging country! My laptop's battery also died and it's very expensive to replace. Sigh, I hope Santa is into batteries and stuff... IP: Logged |

I, um... got a lot of sleeping done while my phone was non-operational. I hope Santa's into batteries too, for your sake. Hopefully once Mercury goes direct it'll open your eyes to an avenue for battery procurement that escaped your view while it was retrograde. IP: Logged |

uGhH! so i'm nearing the completion of my website, and i got most other things solved. i have built the shopping cart system based on the most flexible freeware out there. i have to implement it to every page, so this was the very first thing i had to get done and then copy off the finished page to create many pages on the website. so i did that a few weeks ago. now, i'm getting down to the details and finding a few problems with this system. they have a "help forum" and i asked there, but i noticed since mid-October no one who has asked questions there has been answered by the people who created it. i am suddenly overcome by the sense of futility. at this point, finding another shopping cart script which is as good (and i tried all i could find already!) AND re-implementing it is like, almost like building the whole thing from scratch! ok a bit exaggerated, but back track a few weeks. i don't believe it. god always loves to let me go on obliviously and drop the bomb when i'm almost done, and laugh at me. Patience, lechien, patience! Merc rx isn't moving his behind before Wed and I would think for another week we're not completely glitch-free. Aren't you happy you didn't launch it in the midst of this Merc rx mess?! IP: Logged |

yikes, yes for sure! who knows what would have happened if it's online now in the midst of Mercury chaos!! i'm going to look for alternatives, but still keeping the files with the current one. ugh what a waste of time! and it doesn't help i am an awful perfectionist when it comes to anything creative! Oh, I'm a perfectionist as well and feel your pain. Nothing is ever good enough. Sigh...Speaking of Merc rx, the PP forum was hit by it this morning. It's driving me up the wall because it's hard to pin the glitch when you get to it AFTER it stopped acting up. LOL Plus it's extremely hard to describe it as it's a visual thing. I speak a lot with showing things on the screen. I could do a powerpoint on the matter lol... Blergh... time for me to turn in... yawning my head off....... good night IP: Logged |

the biggest disaster happens just after it goes direct!i don't know how i can continue with what just happened! trying not to panic! no point in this post but i'm trying to stay calm. it's too weird to explain what happened with my website development... do i reinstall Dreamweaver? ok i think i try that first and see if it works. i'm almost in tears, this is not happening to meeee...now i have to figure out why it's not... doing what it should, basically all my web info stopped displaying. it's not the end of the world, nothing in regard of what i have built is lost but they stopped displaying. that means i cannot work on them anymore. W.H.Y. it's not fair!!! i'm going insane! it's stupid to write here but i'm like shaking sitting here trying to figure out, and i have NO clue where to start. this is so bizarre. oh GOD. IP: Logged |

(((lechien))) I'm not surprised at all. Working on computers is like a perpetual Merc rx sometimes! A single silly error can send the whole thing to hell at any minute. It requires a lot of attention and careful work. I'm GLAD to read you fixed it. Just make sure you backup your files regularly. When you get any kind of weird results, save and reboot. Also go for a potty break or for a coffee or whatever; relax the mind. Only then do you get back at it. Looking at a problem with a fresh mind can make a huge difference. (Now if I took my own advice.... sigh....)

i totally agree. i'm a bit proud that i stayed (mostly) calm and took steps to fixing it. it was just scary because it was really "WHY NOW" moment. i went out (at which moment it started raining ) and got myself a huge bag of cookies! eating them now with coffee to calm my nerves a bit!! take a deep breathe...
