Yeah...I'm fire...Sag Sun (have 4 planets in Sag: Sun, Asc, Mars, Jupiter) with Aquarius moon and Scorpio Mercury and am far from superficial or insincere. I am on the go a lot but that doesn't have anything to do with my integrity, values or character.

OTOH, I have seen Air signs who use "detachment" and "let's be realistic" to avoid emotions they aren't comfortable with, often other people's. I hate to say it, but I've frequently had the problem where if I bring up an issue to an Air sign friend or relative I get a lot of "Stop bothering me with your feelings and think clearly." The thing is, I'm not asking you to fall on the ground screaming and crying with EMOTIONS!! over whatever the problem is, but sometimes it seems like the Air sign person takes it this way? Just a simple "I see your point, I'm sorry, let's work on this" would go a long, long way. But some (some!) are too uncomfortable to even do that. Paradoxically it creates a lot of unnecessary drama.

Sensitivity can be a virtue or it can be a weapon. Same for detachment. I don't think one group of signs is better or worse than the other for the tools they choose to use, it's a matter of how a particular individual chooses to put them to use.

Yeah that's what I don't like about water signs, there's a tendency for them to dwell on how THEY feel. Like some of them are quite selfish and you feel like you have to walk on egg shells around them. But of course, when turning it around and you're the one getting hurt, they don't seem as phased lol -_-.
