Totally agree with that. Although other planets are important as well, I REALLY love seeing Moon hitting an angle. But maybe that is just my personal preference. (the others I really love to see at angles are: ASC, ruler of ASC or DESC and the nodes - just my personal preference Of course Sun and Venus on an angle are terrific as well)

Hi Ami, I am in the most fulfilling relationship of my life with a partner who I feel is my soul mate and on his side the feeling is the same. We have most of the good aspects mentioned above, including moon trine moon and our plutos mutually trine each others venuses. SO much passion and so much adoration and appreciation of each others physical beauty. There are alot of aspects to neptune too and it really does feel like we are living in a musical. IP: Logged |

They aren`t. Though I myself often use them in terms of past lives, they actually have very much to do with our lifepath, since they relate to the nodal axis. Since the nodal axis is related to the Moon, they highlight the "soul", underlying emotional aspects of a person. They are about past and present actually, just as the nodal axis links the past with the present or even future (SN to NN). IP: Logged |

For instance, sometimes Venus square Venus simply represents intensity in terms of attraction… being extremely attracted, extremely affectionate, and likeing each other a lot despite having different social styles (sometimes they are fascinated by each other for these differences)… on the other hand, in some cases Venus square Venus can actually refer to being repulsed by the other person… and finding their behavior inappropriate or even disgusting…
I agree that squares can go either way. I have observed though that the squares between Yin-planets, Moon-Moon, Venus-Venus, Moon-Venus, are often more indicative of incompatibility without the attraction scenario, unless one of them ruled the 5th, 7th or 8th house. Of course if they were part of a "closed circuit", also including Mars or Pluto, this would fire up the initial attraction as well.
Squares between Yin-Yang-planets or to Uranus or Pluto seem to increase the initial attraction to an almost compulsive, "insane" degree, but are very unbalanced, volatile, and can switch to antagonism quite quickly (and sometimes back again).

It`s only my thoughts, derived from the way the zodiacs are calculated and what perspective they are looking from: tropical: Earth: material - physical plane, plane of manifestation* - consciousness- present
(for something to manifest it needs be channelled or touching the tropical - that is imo why the ASC is so important, as it indicates the point where "heaven and earth merge", or in astronomical terms, the intersection of ecliptic and horizon; it is the very start of our material / Physical existence, and thus incorporates more than the simple appearance - but as I said that is simply my conclusion, derived from the astronomical definition of the ASC).
Draconic: Moon - soul- emotional plane - subconsciousness - past (or actually the influence of the past resulting in aspects important for the present path)
Heliocentric: Sun - spirit - spiritual plane (Higher Mind, Higher Selves) - supraconsciousness - probably future
As you can see my ideas are very much influenced by Robert Blashke like he put it here (though as you can see it does vary a bit): "SOUL LEVEL ZODIAC ORIGIN PLANE OF REALITY 4 HELIOCENTRIC SOLAR CHRIST CONSCIOUSNESS 3 SIDEREAL SPACE COMPLETION OF KARMA 2 TROPICAL TIME PRESENT INCARNATION 1 DRACONIC LUNAR ONGOING SOUL CONTRACT" http://www.earthwalkastrology.com/images/Secrets%20of%20the%20Zodiac.pdf In "my" model though I took into account that all three of the zodiacs I used - tropical, draconic, heliocentric- are derived from an interconnection between at least two components of the trinity of Sun-Moon-Earth. I simply used these as factors because Sun and Moon really and physically condition life on earth, I could hardly ignore that.

I have changed my mind about the ASC. Some books describe it as a mask. I have been trying to be aware of my ASC as I had an uncertainty about if it was Libra or Scorpio. I tried to watch my first reaction to outside events such as an interaction in a store.I saw that if anything goes wrong, I will switch in to the other person's shoes and try to see it from their side. I am a natural diplomat. I do not hold grudges the way a Scorpio ASC does.I am too open for a Scorpio ASC.I am not secretive by nature so I could see my Libra ASC IN my actions in the outside world. It is part of me but not an interior part like the moon. What do you think Ceri? ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

I rarely hold grudges, and I'm a Scorpio ascendant. There is a higher and lower manifestation. Libra can hold grudges, but not admit to it, out of supposed politeness (sounds passive-aggressive to me).IP: Logged |
