Tell me about this aspect in synastry.

Dangerous? because Neptune is involved?

Or the most fulfilling love in the world BECAUSE neptune is involved?

Orb is SUPER tight..under 1 deg.

I'd say dangerous, but I may be prejudiced.

Neptune just screams delusion to me.

Maybe if the people involved are Neptunian, it can be beautiful. Otherwise I'd be careful.

my bf and i have this aspect - venus c. neptune exact in synastry and at 1 degree sextile in composite. i have neptune in 1st house which, i think, makes it 'worse.' i basically describe my relationship with him a fairy tale - he is like my price charming and i see him that way. is he really? well, my friends and family say no :-) he is unlike any man i ever dated before (in terms of looks, finances, ethnicity, etc). i feel like a princess in his company and just become feminine and girly when i am around him. i fantasize and dream of him often and just kinda float on air when i'm around him. i have no idea how it affects him, but he gives me a lot of beautiful gifts and is highly romantic with me (and he's an aqua with an aqua venus so that is saying something). perhaps we're both deluded, but we've been together 1 year and this fairy tale aspect hasn't faded at all. that ishow i'd describe this aspect: fairy tale. for me, it's awesome - what girl doesn't dream of meeting her prince charming

What was it like from his perspective? Did he want the divorce or is he still in love? I don't understand when you say delusional. Which one is delusional? Venus or Neptune? Or both?

We have a child who loves his Daddy so, so much, and will now be separated from him because Mommy simply cannot live with Daddy any more. He has nothing that is in any way, shape or form what I need in a man. The delusion was complete. The sex (from my perspective) was finished by year three. When the Neptune fog cleared, and I saw what was there to be seen, I could no longer stomach him. At all. The thing is, he's not a bad person. Some woman will like him. Just not me, anymore. That's what Venus Neptune can do, if you ask me.

Wow--did you have the conjunction Crabby. I had my venus conj his SN and oppose to his Neptune and people told me I was nuts but I could not see it, for the life of me. IQ warns that Neptune oppose Venus could be an abuse aspect IF combined with abuse aspects. I think I have it right.

Anyway Crabby. I am not super busy and stressed as I was before and would LOVE to talk so please, please text me

Hmmmm...

nVenus conj nNeptune is the rarest aspect for me. In my little black book I've found only one, and it had a 15 degree orb.

By progression, however, there have been a couple.

In the first, it was a Scorpio-Sagittarius. This person first came to me in a dream, and first thought was - wow what a beauty, can't wait to meet them in the flesh. Of course when they showed up I didn't recognize 'em. They were eager to start something, but having just untangled myself from a Scorpio I wasn't too keen on going there again. After they'd exited my life & mercury went retro it hit me...that was the person I met in the dream...darn it. Worst of all, I'd sorta, kinda requested them.

In the second, we were colleagues who worked the graveyard shift. Again, this was someone I could see myself settling down with. So pretty so perfect, a Sagittarius-Scorpio. Shamefully, it went nowhere.

Those are my experiences with this aspect. Too short to give in depth feedback, but I find the aspect dreamy. I have Neptune oppose Sun.

This feeds into two pet theories of mine.

1. The conjunction is the only aspect strong enough to bring two people together. If you can't find it, you aren't looking at he right charts.

2. In this life, we only get to meet a few people, or "few original energies". The cut off point would be the first lunar return. All subsequent matchups are just repetitions or copies of those energies.

Crabbypatty, so sorry to hear about your misfortune with your husband!

I really don't like this aspect, just my personal opinion.

I have Venus conjunct Neptune natally, 6 degree orb. So I had this with basically every guy I dated, before I married an older man.

From my reading and experience, it's usually Neptune who breaks it off, or a wary Venus who recognizes the warning signs in advance (Venus will have this in synastry with all of with his/her peers through school.) Yes, it's nice for Venus to be able to ATTRACT Neptune but not worth the heartbreak in the end.

I know a woman with a very tight Venus-Neptune conjunction, less than 1 degree orb, and she is very beautiful but cannot keep a boyfriend. She's bad at picking them and is always in relationships with men her own age, whose Neptune conjunct her Venus.

Maybe I'm a kook, but that's where I think the trouble is.

Not to throw a wet blanket on anything, sorry if I did, but I count Venus-Neptune as a negative aspect overall.

Ok well I have my Venus conjunct Neptune in Sag, and am in the beginnings of something with a guy who has a singleton Neptune in Sag. Should I be worried?

^ Me, too! In Sag.

Does his Saturn aspect your Venus-Neptune at all? That can help.

Sorry if I harped on the negative too much, I hope it works out for you.

^ Hmm, no, the square's not so good. I should have mentioned, positive aspects with Saturn.

Oh well...love conquers all, and I hope you have other positive aspects working for you, outweighing this.

I do see this as a challenge.

I guess it's a hard question to answer with Venus-Neptune.

Is true love possible with this? Or is the concept an illusion?

Oh it's possible! Yes. I truly loved someone whose Neptune is conjunct my Venus.

It was as real as anything, lasted a long while through friendship and romance and everything. Worthwhile, made my life richer.

Just sad in the end.

Only my experience, though! I'm sure others have had it successfully turn out.

Absolutley not. Neptune is slow. You will have the conj with almost everyone born those year. My best childhoods friend have her venus conj neptun conj my nept but she also have the conj with everyone else born the same year.
I only put energy on this one if there are an DW or other strong neptun and venus connection between the couple.

Ami,

I actually worked out that other situation I was going to ask you about... which I'll email you re: specifics. But thanks for not forgetting! You're a doll.

This totally makes me think of Venus/Saturn, Faith! You said you have it, on the other thread. Makes sense.

^ YES.

And the results from the color quiz in LL Centrol 2.0 are also revealing:

quote:
Current events leave her feeling forced into compromise in order to avoid being cut off from affection or future cooperation.

However....from the color quiz:

quote:
Does not allow herself to be overcome with negative thoughts or self-doubt. Takes life head on, with enthusiasm.

So I'll be okay, but thank you for caring.

I had good friend for over 10 years: his Venus in conjunction with my Neptune.

He was there whenever I needed him.

This aspect is some dreamy aspect.
Other people have seen, what I didn't (my Neptune): that he feels for me more, than good friend, but he never told me that.

B.

My boyfriend and I have this aspect with an orb of 1 degree. I am under no illusions about our love being this fairytale. I've been bitchslapped too many times in the face with reality for that. Then again, the sign the conjunction is in is Capricorn, so maybe that's why it's a bit more pragmatic? I am the Venusian so it's equally possible that he is the deluded one... he is the South Node person in our Neptune conjunct South Node relationship as well... it feels like the universe is trying to send him warnings about me:s

I can really relate to this; my boyfriend has Mercury in Capricorn to my Merc in Aqua and this is where many of our conflicts stem from. He can't accept any aspect of the nonphysical world and he has a tendency to make ignorant comments that just make my stomach turn. As a progressive-minded person I don't/can't understand how anyone can be so narrow-minded. One time I almost called him trailer trash! I had to really struggle to hold me tongue. Can you imagine?

Hence, under no illusions about this perfect man and this perfect love. Certainly not in my case. But a Saturn/South Node tie is really bard to break. At times I feel like we're sort of stuck with each other.
