Topic: something i have noticed about people with virgo placements

I'm a 911 dispatcher. I see the same birthdays over and over again on warrants, protective orders, runaway teenagers and suicidal people. I've noticed that September 17 is VERY popular dob for suicidal threats and domestic violence. I have a friend with that dob and he's a nice, gental, funny person. So it's not everyone. But September 13-18 seems to pop up a lot. I haven't read any of their charts so I'm not sure what the combination is. Just seems like they tend to be volital types of personalities. IP: Logged |

You're somewhat like me - you have powerful Mars squares to personal planets that seem to set you off. I have Mars square Mercury so my explosive temper first happens with intense verbal assaults and the battle of the wits. Only if that doesn't work do I really go off and get aggressive and physically threatening if need be due to Mars-Uranus in opposition. Like you said, it doesn't seem to have that much to do with having a Virgo placement but I think it does contribute a little bit to how you do get angry and pushy with people; as I said, the Virgo influence can make me critical of the way others' speak since Virgo is also ruled by Mercury (and I have the Mercury-Mars square). I notice this more with female Virgos. And maybe not so bad as to say "extremely short fuse" or "volatile" temper, but I def notice Virgo wimmenz are temperamental. My ma has Sun, Moon, AC, and Jupiter in Virgo...talk about hubris! She has a Pisces Mars though, opposite Moon, retrograde, in the Seventh House... quote:

I'm Virgo ascendant with a few other planets in Virgo. I'm actually SLOW to anger! But, when you have gone too far I will explode.I find this to be more my Taurus sun and Mars in Leo in H 12th. I am like other Virgos VERY critical...not only of others, but myself. so, maybe if something is disorderly i can be a little cranky.If i do have a short fuse, I notice I blow up only when people are overly condescending or treat me as if I'm dumb.IP: Logged |

I have a virgo moon, and a mars and mercury square my moon and my mars is in sag too. I definitely have a temper, but i usually blow up and then forget about it a short while afterwards. Mars in sag - I'm too optimistic and too much of a joker to have an volcanic temper.

Everything in astrology (well, most everything) can be explained. I have not noticed that Virgo placements give a particularly short fuse/temper. But I may be biased, as I have 3 personal planets in Virgo, so I am quite willing to be enlightened.For those of you who think that Virgo placements give a short fuse, how do you explain it astrologically? If someone were to say that Mercury in Aries gives incredible dancing qualities, I would be surprised and would expect them to be able to explain it astrologically using sign and planet symbolism. In other words, back it up. Can anyone please back up this Virgo = short temper using astrological theory or is it just anecdotal evidence? IP: Logged |

Very interesting. May I ask you a question? What is the period covered by your observation? Meaning, how many years, or months? I am asking because Mars entered Virgo since late last year, went retrograde at some point, then direct, and only left Virgo 2 weeks ago. As a result, Virgos have been quite fiery and martial, in fact all things ruled by Virgo have been affected by this superlong Mars transit. A perfect illustration of the influence of Mars on all things Virgoans is the HealthCare Reform Bill which was upheld, amidst controversy and fighting a couple of weeks before Mars left Virgo. I actually don't think it necessarily gives a short temper. I think in some instances it can make people snippy and picky which can turn off other people; in other words, as a lunar Virgo this is the first way I come to be combative and upset people, is by expressing my worst Virgoan tendencies... versus anything else. I honestly think that you need some sort of Mars square or opposition to goad on the possibility for a bad or unpredictable temper. Like I'd just noticed, Mars-Merc or Moon-Mars, or Mars-Uranus and some other harsh configs. I agree alone Virgo won't make you a ****** off person at all. I think it can make you slowly teem with anger over time or have a difficult time expressing it unless you have the above harsh aspects to activate things and explode sooner rather than later. This. I was going to say, having a Mars square in the chart will make a person more prone to explosions. I have one, so I know!  Everybody has the potential for anger/temper, so you can't blame it on a sign. Anger is usually defense mechanism for deeper, more painful feelings. ------------------

Pisces is the opposite of virgo & I know many moody piscean people (with pisces placements) i think virgo's earthy tone, just makes the watery moon go a bit more robust :PIP: Logged |

This is so true, or we are picky. VERY picky.First a really good friend of mine has moon in Virgo and he's very critical and picky. He gets angry when things are not in order. Me, I do have a short temper as well I'm picky about stability, relationships and morals in general. I'm not a neat freak, lol. Well..with my physical appearance, yes, but not with my surroundings.. My son is the most annoying Virgo of all. He has Virgo sun AND his rising sign is also Virgo. Almost anything annoys him, lol. Certain smells, clothes, food..everything has to be in order and his way. He hates germs (mind you he's only 5). He cannot eat from your spoon because you have germs O_O. He is extremely picky about his food. He doesn't drink soda/pop, does not eat any type of sweets/candy..instead he eats wheat bread, drinks soy milk, yogurt, and overall just watches what he eats (?). I swear I did not teach him this because I'm the least "Virgo" like person you'll meet when it comes to being neat and stuff. I'm Aqua rising maybe that's why, lol! IP: Logged |

I totally agree with you!!! I am Sun, Mercury, and Mars in Virgo. I have learned to control my temper and I don't fly off the handle anymore...BUT I can get very cranky and moody. And I often don't get along with other Virgos very well for this exact reason. IP: Logged |

What about Virgos with Aries moon, or Virgo's with Cancer or Leo moons.My grandmother's birthday was August 30, 1940 she either had Virgo sun, with a cancer moon , or a Virgo sun with Leo moon. I have yet to still find her birthtime. My grandmother was moody but highly intuitive. My uncle has Virgo with Aries Moon, he was born right on the cusp between Virgo and Libra September 22. He tries to dictate people and had mother issues. So whose more Anal Virgos or Scorpios?

No short temper here. I'm a Virgo Sun and Mars. My Virgo boyfriend is very cool calm and collected too. We both have air Moons.Bad tempers are a sign of a lot of inner turmoil. This is usually seen through hard aspects between Sun/Moon, Moon/Mars, Mars/Pluto etc. It goes beyond the Sun sign.

My wife has six planets in Virgo. Analytical, perfectionist, hot tempered. Yeah. But they get angry for good reason. And earth signs know how to deal with the criticism well. My mom was born on September 17th. Hot temper doesn't mean domestic violence. IP: Logged |

Well I think it's just that people with strong Virgo are very high-strung. High anxiety and irritability can definitely be expressed as a hot temper. It's not always the case, of course, but I can see it. I can really fly off the handle, with my Mercury-Mars in Virgo conjunction. ------------------
