I am a Virgo sun with moon opp Neptune and most drugs and booze have a bad effect on me so I tend to avoid it for the most part. I feel like my mom has a bigger Virgo influence than me and she loves all those feel good drugs. She can't get enough of them and tries to get them whenever she can, so long as they are not illegal. She badgers doctors for all kinds of painkillers and tranquilizers. Virgo shuns from doing anything illegal and always tries to go the legal route with legitimate prescriptions but drugs are drugs and you can get addicted to the legal ones, in some cases. My mom has a Libra ascendant and Neptune while I have a major Libra influence so that also helps me keep a clear head and rational attitude. My mom has so many prescriptions for so many drugs she has to write everything down to avoid interactions. I have zero prescriptions and try my best to avoid prescriptions at all costs. I do like vitamins. IP: Logged |

Ok LOL out of the 12 signs in the Zodiac Virgos are the ones with the most drug problems!.I give up...generalize away everyone after all astrology is indeed that simple and straight forward. IP: Logged |

Yup Virgo influenced people can have drug problems but you have to look at the individual and their chart. I have Virgo sun and Pluto, cannot stand most drugs (except for antibiotics) while my mother has 5 in Virgo, including moon, Venus, Mars and Jupiter and depends on pills for everything. My Libra Jupiter wants nothing to do with pills, thank you. Even something like Benadryl leaves me feeling extremely weird and morose. I avoid taking it unless I am having a really bad allergic reaction to food and my stomach is dying. That is the only time I take it and it's the liquid kind to coat the lining of my stomach and it's rare because I avoid the preservatives I am allergic too. My mom will go to those minor emergency clinics and try her hardest to get shots of Benadryl that leave her so woozy she cannot stand up and must have help to the car. IP: Logged |

You keep mentioning your mom and saying she depends on pills for everything and has a virgo stellium (she is just one example)...I am social worker and deal with people who have a lot of medical problems and mental health problems and belief me when I say that depending on a bunch of pills is an epidemic resulting from the paradigm shift we are currently in which makes pharmacological treatment the current trend, standard and norm on how we fix everything until the next paradigm shift comes along this is how all signs are been treated for their medical problems and mental health issues. I have seeing a lot of charts of people who are dependent on a bunch of pills and this has nothing to do with virgo and a lot of different signs, aspects and placements are involved; astrologically my case loads have been and are very diverse. One of my friends is more like me and she has Virgo/Libra influence, too. She is more extreme than I am, in fact, and cannot stand any kind of substance, prescribed or not and would never ever touch alcohol. To be honest, I have always been around a steady succession of people who curse alcohol, but not pills as much.Maybe it could be the Virgo/Libra combination? IP: Logged |

Its not the libra. A LIBRAN coworker who is excellent at his job is a recovering alcoholic and currently smokes cigs. Another coworker with moon in libra and sun cancer has a history of heavy use of cannabis. My husband has tried a bunch of stuff although never became an addict and was cautious always and did his research. Now in his 30s he doesnt do anything but he tried all kinds of things when younger and he is a libra sun. He did stay away of key things though. I have several clients who are libras and depressed and take medication for it daily but I dont think there is nothing wrong with that or cannabis or drinking in moderation for that matter. Gemini Boss smokes cigarettes daily. All kinds of signs experience with drugs and consume it. What about everyone who is addicted to caffeine? who depend on it to wake up basically. Its human nature...an all signs involved thing. IP: Logged |

Libra/Virgo together in one chart. It could make for a straight laced, square type of personality.

Any person can have problems with drugs, but the Pisces/Virgo axis - as well as 12th/6th houses are said to be directly related to drugs, by -some-(not all) astrologers. As is the case (in Astrology) with anything else a sign or house rules - people with these influences are thought to be in either extreme, e.g. health fanatic or drug addict.I'm curious how many pages this thread will go to purely because you are mistaking... a) personal experience... and b) one (of many) astrological ideas that you can easily google - for... Also - I am neither lying nor exaggerating when it comes to my experience. I honestly don't know one Virgo Sun person who is not a big drinker.Would it make you feel better if I lie and say the opposite? A generalisation is saying: "As a result of my experience I've reached the conclusion that all the Virgos out there are like this". I never said that IP: Logged |

Me? I wasn't bothered in the first place. There's nothing for me to "feel better" about.

Personal observation does not equal science or a representative sample or excludes personal bias.Anyone with some knowledge of astrology can create a site and say that virgos have a much higher tendency of drug problems than the rest of the zodiac, it doesnt mean that this is based on solid research. I am making a point that others have tried to make again and again about generalizing by Sun sign and this time the generalization does not match the stereotype to top it off. There is a difference between feeling hurt and being annoyed..... I dont have anything bad to say about aquas; I dont know enough of you and the ones I have met are nice and I dont like generalizing. ^^^ Yup. I don't delve as deeply as I used to. I don't worry or get worked up about generalizations. Having taken a break... I see now it's like this astrological black hole that people get sucked into - to a point that reality becomes a little blurred. IP: Logged |

I also know one other Virgo sun who worshiped weed for a while. She was one of those hippyish weed worshipers. Not all of us are Mr Spock. IP: Logged |

I don't know a single Virgo (myself or in my family, there are 4 others) with a short fuse or volatile temper. That has absolutely not been my experience. We also loathe drugs and alcohol because we like to be in control of ourselves. I've never been out of control of my body. I wouldn't even take medication when my kids were born or when I had my wisdom teeth surgically removed. Which Virgo stereotypes do I have? Control freak - check. Perfectionist - check. Always right - check. Health nut - check. ------------------ “Most people would rather be sheep than stand on their own with antlers on.” IP: Logged |

I have a virgo Stellium and I'm not addicted (and dont even partake in) to drug nor drink. But like I said, addiction does not only involves those two. Addiction could be to sex, to the Internet, to excitement, food, video games... Which I admit to one or more of these.IP: Logged |

Mars and Moon can give you a good idea if someone has a short fuse more than a sign. Where is Mars? How does the moon look? Any aspect between them? What about afflictions to Mars? Anything going on in Aries or Scorpio?IP: Logged |

Hehe, now that you put it that way...I might be more addictive than I realized... I would curl up in a corner and die without daily caffeine but I can't handle anything stronger than that.IP: Logged |

hahahahha Damnnn Girl, no drugs during your wisdom teeth removal, impressiveeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Add to the list great self esteem and not caring what people think! I do agree with your point about not feeling in control..I think that is why I dont get addicted or avoid things that cause physical dependence....The only drug that I have tried that causes physical dependence which I did ongoing was cigarettes and even when I smoked cigarettes it was mostly social and only for a while did I do it daily and when I did do it daily I only smoked ONE cigarette a day bc of that fear of becoming too addicted and losing control. Once I made up my mind to quit for health reasons and lets face it cigs are gross, I did it pretty quickly; my husband and I quit together actually and I was stronger than him about it. I dont like the idea of feeling like I NEED Something at all. But I know you mean losing control of your senses which I understand that too although if done responsibly at the right age range in your 20s at home surrounded by people you trust and avoiding anything you can overdose on or that causes physical dependence I think its an experience that will expand your mind if done infrequently recreationally although NOT for everyone.
