My ex was a Virgo/Sun/Mars/Venus he has a very bad temper it actually got scary sometimes.He deff could use some anger management classes.I have my Moon in Virgo Ive been called cranky sometimes but I'm far from having a crazy temper.IP: Logged |

well.. I know at least 7 virgos in my family.half of them are very very laidback, picking fights with people or playing the yelling game would be the last thing they would do. ..while the other half are just psychotic. and thats putting it nicely. my biological father is a virgo sun/mercury/mars/pluto and he is KNOWN to blow up. He once started screaming at me only because I told him, "your eyes look like a black hole" lol IP: Logged |

I am a Virgo Asc conj Mars and also have Progressed Virgo Asc, Mars, Mercury and Venus. I am very laidback until my buttons are pressed one too many times and then I get borderline dangerous. True facts. IP: Logged |

I have Moon in Virgo and Jupiter in Virgo (ruler of my chart). Even though I have Moon conjunct Jupiter, which gives me a natural good disposition and smiley attitude, I sure do have a temper, lol! I'm very moody (this might have to do with other stuff in my chart)... But yes, I can get really cranky, specially in my "home life".My dad has Sun & Jupiter (also conjunct) in Virgo and it's not really like he has a bad temper, but when confronted with situations which make him nervous, stressed or anxious, he explodes at the most minimal thing lol. It's the nervousness, irritability and restlessness of Mercury. Plus, many of them have Leo placements.------------------

The kids of Mercury are usually hyper, all the Virgos and Geminis I met are almost always nervous. I'm used to it, since my 7th house ruler is Mercury haha!IP: Logged |

Dude! Yes I second there being 2 types of Virgos, probably because they're mutable. But in any case. I can think of about four laid back Virgos, and one that was a hot pan. He had Leo in his chart.IP: Logged |

Actually I think Linda Goodman mentioned this. I read her Love Signs book and she said Virgo is ruled by Vulcan so when they're angry/ in their cranky moods, they can blow your face off.My sister is a Virgo Sun, she has quite a temper, but she also has Aries Moon.
I have Virgo Moon, I sometimes explode but I also have Aries Mars.
My father has Virgo Moon too, and drop booms sometimes, but he has Aries Mercury and Venus and Mars square Pluto.
My mother is the most fearsome person in my family, she has Virgo Mars and possibly Aries ASC.
Oh my lovely family  The funny thing is my family members often have short fuse in domestic scenarios  , like when the house is a mess is a perfect example. ------------------

Yes.I have found many to be quite touchy,hyper-critical and nasty actually  The men can be very sexist and say crude things like "Only a broad can be that dense" or "no boobs are gonna tell me how to run things" etc. The women can give off that air of being unsympathetic,"difficult" and not very kind. I think when Virgo's are still learning to deal with a world that doesn't have things running in their idea of "an orderly fashion",the less admirable qualities crop up;being short tempered,being snappy, condescending with words,threatening and even resorting to downright bullying tactics(intimidation and name-calling)

LoL All I can say to this thread is:Not.when.sober. But the Pisces/Virgo axis is prone to addictions of all sorts, mainly alcohol. The normally peaceful Virgo can turn into The Hulk when inebriated. IP: Logged |

Since when is virgo connected to addictions!? Virgo is about health...Pisces likes to experience different altered states of consciousness or escape and that can lead to addiction in combo with pluto or venus perhaps.. I think the reason why I am not addicted to anything is my sun virgo. To me hang overs suck too much and I dont like feeling sick so I never get drunk. The only drug that I like is cannabis which I haven't done like in a year simply bc I am in a state that is not legal and quitting cold turkey did not affect me at all in any way. If you think you need it its bc you need it for medical reasons or bc its in your head; a psychological dependence.To me is similar to liking chocolate; actually I find chocolate more addictive. Addiction is not only about drugs In her quest for perfection, virgo can become addicted to whatever she thinks will work best in that situation. Cleaning, nagging, being tied up with trying to fix every body or thing they know. Food or drink. Body modification. Etcetera. It is just like any addiction when it becomes problematic and obligatory for them to take on the task, all in the name of trying to right wrongs... Even if its detrimental to Virgo's well being, because like any addiction common sense can go ignored IP: Logged |

I don't personally know a Virgo Sun who doesn't love their alcohol. I'm just being honest.
They are BIG drinkers in my experience.

That is interesting, I don't know one Virgo who is addicted to anything. I have many family members who are alcoholics and none are virgos
Lol. One is a sag, the other a cancer, the other a Taurus and the one who passed away a libra, one a leo. In addition none of my clients with substance abuse issues are virgos. Can you pls show me that source you got this info from?IP: Logged |

By that logic anyone or any sign can become addicted to something which is closer to the truth. My dad is a cap with moon in virgo and he is not addicted to anything period not even in the way you are saying. My mom however with Cap sun and Taurus moon is extremely addicted to religion and working. In addition I would say that different signs fall into drug addiction like alcoholism for different reasons but normally substance abuse issues can be traced back to: "Alcoholics and drug addicts often come from homes where either a parent(s) drank or used, or a strong familial theme reared its head through associated interaction with cousins, aunts or uncles. The lack of a stable home often dictates a lack of structure, affection and self worth. It is through these early experiences that a young child will feel the need to “medicate” their young mind/body so that they do not have to “feel” what it is they are feeling." Hence stating that virgos tend to be alcoholics not only does not fit with the neptune stereotype but its like saying that all virgos come from dysfunctional families when all signs do. I feel alcoholism is not always a symptom of a broken home sometimes its a habit that forms because of social roots in combo with lack of confidence. Venus/libra rules kidneys, I know 2 alcoholics who are sun libras with venus in scorpio and One sun Sag and venus scorpio actually. One of them died young bc he destroyed his body from drinking and smoking (sun libra, venus in scorpio). People think neptune neptune neptune but pluto is obssessive and addictive and venus is social and likes to feel good and can enjoy gluttony and excess and guess what a lot of drugs are done in a social setting and often lead to sex which is ruled by pluto. I DONT think addiction is just a purely neptune thing like a lot of astrologers indicate and more research needs to be done on this. Oh and btw I am virgo and I am extremely far from been addicted to any of things you mentioned above but I can see some virgos might be although not the majority; those are stereoypes except for the body image thing but for the most part virgo express this via insecurity not in an actual disorder. I have noticed that obsession with cleanliness is more a venus and neptune thing; wanting their environment to look beautiful and perfect. Plenty of OCD people don't have virgo placements although I am sure some do. ADD:
