I'm not a gold-digger but I feel attracted by money, power, and social prestige.

I'm in a stable relationship since 2005, we grew up together and have similar income, although he will inherit a little fortune in the future.

I always fantasize that if we didn't end up as a couple I'd look at someone with more money and prestige, a respected professional from a good family (not that my boyfriend is not all that but I always wanted "more").

I have Sun in the 2nd house, conjunct Mercury in Leo, trine MC in the 9th and Saturn in the 6th, opposite Moon in the 8th and square Pluto in the 5th.

My P. Fortune is in the 7th in Sagi, conjunct Uranus and my DC.

Mars is in the 8th house, trine Venus in the 3rd.

Jupiter conjunct the MC.

------------------
Gemini Rising.
Cancer Sun.
Capricorn Moon.
6 Rx planets.

I'm more curious about the other party. What makes them ok with being a gold mine (providing that they are not being deceived). Looks, youth, some excitement on the side, being pampered, having more power over someone else ..etc...? Or is it simply because they just have a lot of money and don't care?

I have a cap galore chart. About cap viewing marriage n relationship as business transaction - both sides have to bring something to the table, and say if I didn't have much (not counting looks and youth, these things fade too quickly), I'd never think of enter such "transaction" with some loaded big shot. In my hey-day, when faced such offers, that was what I thought. They never flat out said things along the lines of "my money for your time and body", it was always beautiful words and promises, "caring concern" and "sympathy" - lol if I didn't grow up the way I did, I wouldn't have known.

Being a kept woman isn't appealing partly because Saturn influence makes me want to be the provider.

Welp, I have the natal chart of one too. (Mercury in Cap-2H & Sun, moon/Venus in tigt 2H stellium) It doesn't fit me where love is applied. Firstly I could have married a much more impressive status type than I did. The one I married isn't rich in wealth but he has a heart of gold and he's my best friend. (I'm far from the stereo type here, I'm a hopeless romantic, which is my Achilles heel) It is true I'm materialistic. I am working on it though, we all have character flaws. It's one of my many -I admit I'm a mess. This is why I'm trying to learn. I'm thankful Linda started this forum.
