Those fake terms are an insult to people who are constantly trying and fighting to become accepted by societies that don't fecking like them, especially in the cases of the LGBT community.
I see that you don't know what being demisexual means. Demisexuality isn't about choices, it's about impulses. IOW, normal people don't need a deep emotional commitment to be attracted (as opposed to sexually active) to someone, whereas a demisexual MUST know someone well before lust or attraction is even possible. A demisexual will never think upon meeting someone, "S/he is HOT!" They won't get all intoxicated by smell or the sound in the voice or the wiggle in jeans, but a normal person would, even if the normal person decides that they won't ever act on sexual impulses until married. In some ways it's the opposite of mainstream society in that many feel attraction (whether or not they get sexual over it) and that attraction may fade as they get to know someone better with all their flaws whereas a demisexual won't ever feel attraction or lust until after they get to know someone.
And technically speaking, if one is "better" (as opposed to "better off") then it's the normal person because the normal actually have impulses to overcome which those who choose not to have sex until bonded (or even married) overcome their impulses while a demisexual does not. It's much like how someone who can overcome their fear is courageous while someone too stupid to be afraid in the first place (and thus no fear to overcome) is just a fool (or lucky at best). And how is it an insult to the gay community? Some gays claim to be demisexual. As for "feeling special" I know more than one demisexual who does no such thing, they can be all for free love, polyamory, and the like for others while realizing they'll never pick someone up in a bar or club or crush on someone they don't know that well the way most others will instead. One was best friends with someone very promiscuous with strangers and saw nothing wrong with it. I know there's a misconception that asexuals and demisexuals are just prudes but that's not often the case. At least in my experience (and reading some articles by those who claimed to be that way, and also Odette's posts in other threads) they tend to be less judgmental and hung up about sex than most people, possibly because it's not such an overwhelming force for them, though realizing they're a minority may also be a factor. And what is the problem with demisexuality? I mean, come on. The only issue is possibly that the person doesn't feel the emotional connection you feel back. I don't see why being demisexual is bad. I think I am very demisexual and am offended when I have sex outside of relationship and emotional bounds. I just feel so detached from the act. That is probably exactly why. i have a 3rd house stellium and communication in foreplay or during sex is very important, i can be very verbal and i must take the lead. my sexual energies are unsaturated.
though women often feel allured by me, i dont have random sex.im picky on woman, there has to be a intense connection, telepathically, physically and beyond words in relationship. fortunately i stay mobile and find outlets in sports, work and outdoor activities as a compensation to balance. mars and pluto conjunct both in scorpio and both in 1st house. Can't say I relate to the other Capricorn mars on here.(though I just realized today that it probably has to do with my Chiron in 8th house gemini, and all my Scorpio placements) At least when I was virginal..I believed it should always be about love. And true, I think that that's ideal. My experience/feelings on this topic are conflicted. I have an easy time in this department w/o love and have gained more knowledge and pleasure w/o love. Though it can be harder on your self morally. While in love, however ...I have a much harder time when it comes to sex and creates psychological issues. I know right, Earth Moons are usually so practical and rational, most of them don't even know what the word "spirituality" means  (yes I'm exaggerating - I know there are tons of fellow Earthy Moons here  ).

Oh Boy..Choc - Basically - long story cut short... you know that feeling you get downstairs when you *want* someone.... I do not get that with anyone I meet - EVER - regardless of their appearance. The point is I feel *nothing* sexually - literally *nothing* - if there is no connection.

Female/Hetero Retrograde Mars in Cancer in 9th house squared by Venus in Pisces and trine Mercury in Aquarius in 5th. I was a virgin until 24 at which point I experimented with sex but got bored because there are only so many places where you can stick it! I've been celebate now for about a quarter century and when I experience sex again, I want it to be in the context of a commited relationship. I have Mars at 3 deg and Neptune at 5 deg in Capricorn (both direct).
It depends on what you mean by casual.. If casual means with a stranger/acquaintance... then I'm not interested because they don't turn me on. If it just means sex outside a monogamous rel.. like fwb, then ya sure..
I mean as long as - I am turned on and the situation is positive (as in: it feels good!!) & safe (as in: neither of us will catch an STD) -- both physically and psychologically (as in: no harassment, such as game-playing) -- I have no reason not to have sex. That's how I see it lol IP: Logged |

Sex is my opportunity to become a part of the other...to make a lasting impression, to merge two into one, to consume another and devour them in my own eroticism. I can separate love and sex but I cannot separate intimacy and sex. Having sex with someone is giving them a part of me and taking a part of them. It does not have to involve emotions other than passion and lust but it does have to involve connection and absolute consumption.
