Aw, same here, hun. A few days ago I couldn't sleep until 7 am. Yep, seven. Then later on I was extremely tired.. so I went to sleep, for 3 hours. Just, go to sleep if you're getting tired, okay? Us Gem risers can be so hyper at all the wrong moments. quote: I do have this one REALLY creepy experience, but I'll email it to you.
Oh yes, please! I love getting emails (from special people) .

The effects of underwater lights particularly in fountains at night. Specially if said fountains are deep.It makes me feel really uncomfortable... Also pool-type nuclear reactors, even if I've never been close to one. I can swim in a ilumninated pool at night just fine, but anything else, I don't really like it. IP: Logged |

@geea, yeah, you're right. The fact that they could walk this earth with us in an unsuspicious disguise.. *shudder* Anneliese was a very sad case. When you read her entire story, you would think that there is a VERY thin line between her psychiatric condition (Schizophrenia) and demon possession. Either way, it changed her drastically in all aspects. I'm glad she's in a better place now. There must be a reason why I remembered her, on her death anniversary at that. @Doux, I was trying to sleep but then the heavy air and unsettling atmosphere kept me glued to the computer chair. My high strung Gem asc did not help. But I slept 5 hours though. Email sent, btw. IP: Logged |

Ah well if this thread has turned into the paranormal/occult v the normal/occidental, I am siding with the paranormal/occult. I am much much more fascinated by what I cannot see than what is right in front of my nose! Life's mysteries intrigue me! No fear whatsoever and like others, 12th house emphasis. 12th house was made for this sort of thing.IP: Logged |

The paranormal and occult have fascinated me since childhood. I always read books about ghosts, ESP/psychic stuff and the like back in my elementary and high school days. I could even see then frequently at some point. But demons.. That's gonna be another story for me. IP: Logged |

I am just interested in what they are, exactly. I try to explain them away. It is better to acknowledge them and consider than to become scared and push them away so they fester and multiply in some dark corner, consuming your life.IP: Logged |

I'll get back to you on this. The short answer is neither really. But as agreed... Coming up next: Brontex's It Really @%$!* Happened Succubus Encouter Story. Fair warning: It's long, poorly edited, may involve demons, and has nothing to do with actual astrology. IP: Logged |

Okay. As promised this is (in excessive detail) a complete account of my one and only truly supernatural experience. Over the years I've had all sorts of "vibes" and odd sensations. I've had plenty of Deja vu moments and even the occasional inexplicable burst of unknowable knowledge (e.g. knowing someone I haven't talked to in years is about to call.) That said I in no way consider myself remotely psychic or even especially sensitive when it comes to such things. But what I'm about to tell you guys happened. It really, physically, #*%@!$!& happened. And I'd swear to it with my hand on a stack of the holy books of your choice.... It all started about eight years ago. At the time I was in the middle of finals at college, up to my ears in term papers, and at the tail end of the most emotionally difficult and ego-crushing romantic breakup I'd as of then been through.
In midst of all this, I managed to crack a wisdom tooth -- no doubt due to a bad habit of grinding my teeth when under stress -- which then quickly went on to form an abscess. Being both too busy and too distracted to deal with it properly, I went about a month surviving on pain-killers, BC Powder, and room temperature liquids. Yeah, admittedly, I don't always take the best care of myself. Finally, once the dust that was my late adolescent life had settled, I got around to having the tooth and the one above it pulled. This was, just as a side note, one of the most interesting and in some strange way even pleasurable physical sensations I've ever had. I didn't find the extraction painful at all. Then again, maybe it was just a combination of laughing gas and having my very flirtatious dentist's very ample rack in my face for an hour and a half. (I only see female dentists---smaller hands.) Either way, having that damned tooth out felt great. So great in fact, that I walked home and had the best tasting cigarette I've ever smoked on the way. I can't even begin to describe the feeling of relief. Now, just to be perfectly clear, I only preface this story at such length so you the reader can appreciate my emotional state before and during my odd and very unsettling paranormal encounter. I want for you, as best as possible, to share in the full experience. Fast forward a few days. The jubilation of life sans one and three-quarters molars had subsided. And being off school for the winter and significantly less able to distract myself, I began to perseverate on my ex and how things had ended between us. Not my proudest moments to be sure. And over the next few weeks I set about developing a daily routine that consisted almost entirely of red wine, leftover pain-killers, and marathon sessions of Alfred Hitchcock Presents. One particularly bad night, I holed up in my dark bedroom and went through the aforementioned motions while trying to pass out. Sleep has never been something that comes easy for me. Regardless of what I do or don't put into my body. As I lay there tossing and turning, I closed my eyes and tried my best to think about anything besides this particular girl. Failing miserably, I finally conceded to just listen to the episode playing on the TV as best I could. And that's when it actually happened... I suddenly felt the overwhelming and very distinct weight of a body in the bed next to me. Not the sensation of falling you sometimes get when you're falling asleep, or any sort of similarly sudden disorientation. Just weight pulling on the sheets and mattress beneath me. Now I'm 99.999 percent certain I did not fall asleep. Not even for a moment. I can recall the Hitchcock episode that was playing. I'd watched it countless times over the the previous weeks. And there was no break in its timeline or progression. So, not knowing what else to do, I opened my eyes. There on the pillow across from me, in all her glory, was my ex. Only, it wasn't. I should mention that my ex was Indonesian of largely Dutch and Chinese descent. She had this little extra bit of upward curl at the corners of her mouth and eyes. Kind of like the ones you might see on an Angkor Wat temple carving. And this curl was especially pronounced when they were closed. This thing in front of me, whatever it was, was her absolute spitting image. It was just lying there, smiling, like it was trying to playfully pretend it was asleep. I stared at it, frozen, trying to collect my thoughts, when it started to giggle very quietly. Fighting it like it was trying to feign sleep. Then I noticed the corners of its eyes and mouth. The curls began to curl even more. Almost but not quite spiraling. I cannot describe how creepy this was. The giggling got louder and louder. And then it opened one eye. Only it wasn't so much an eye, so much as it was a black void. Not an empty socket, but a void the likes of which I've never seen before or since. And somewhere in the middle of this void there was a small glowing red dot. I was incredibly small, but somehow cast a red glow across her face like an under-chin flashlight during a campfire story. It was now giggling very loudly. I shot up. Unable to take my eyes off the the thing and screamed at the the top of my lungs "#@!&%*$ SUCCUBUS!!!" And then it was just gone. It didn't fade away. It was just instantaneously not there. I didn't sleep at all that night. And slept on the couch with a light on for weeks there after. I tried over and over to rationalize it away---I must've fallen asleep. Maybe just for a moment. But no. I knew that episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents well. I didn't miss any part of the story until I opened my eyes and it was still playing after the thing had vanished.
I tried to explain away the red eye. A light coming from somewhere else in the room. But no. The room was pitch black, curtains drawn, for the exception of the TV which was playing in black and white. Even the DVD player I had at the time didn't explain it. It was one of those cheap $20 compact jobs that doesn't have a track display or power indicator light. Still, I told myself there was no way it possibly could've happen... Except, maybe a few days later, I found myself alone in the bathroom tending to one of those things that young men who find themselves without girlfriends sometimes must tend to alone. And in the corner of the room, waist high and about four inches from the wall there appeared this small bowling ball-sized semi-transparent orb. It looked like the it was made of the sort of wavy air that comes off a long road on a hot summer day. Its contents seemed to be spinning in a tight spiral. I rubbed my eyes and blinked over and over but it was still hovering there. Then, so help me, in my head I heard a very faint giggle. IP: Logged |

Hehe, interesting story and very well written! I would have slept on the couch with the light on too! It would have scared me, for sure, seeing a supernatural being so close and in my bed! I have never experienced anything quite like that! IP: Logged |

Ha, Yeah, I feel pretty silly now that I'm looking at it in post form. But I figured between everybody sharing what creeps them out, and the whole Anneliese Michel thing, it would be a pretty good time to tell it. Thanks for reading

Thanks It was fun to finally write it out. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I stand by its authenticity. Still wonder about it myself though. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with my irrational repulsion to mirrors or closet doors, but it's the only really bizarre paranormal experience I've ever had. ----- I'm thinking maybe Lunae should skip over it though. I'd kinda feel bad if she lost sleep because of it. IP: Logged |

I wonder what it would have said if you had? I have had dreams where I am being held and comforted by a spirit and it's really nice. I hope your Succubus would have been nice to you. IP: Logged |
