To be very honest, I dont see much in your chart's aspects which would make your more inclined to those fears. This is what I see happening in your chart at a glimps though:

First off lets tackle moon: you actually have moon doing a lot of good work.It trines your sun-saturn conjunction, which really supports that aspect. From what I've seen, Sun conjunct saturn people can be a bit hard on themselves at first but are such hard workers that they are usually very succesful later on. So, maybe your moon trining that gives you some comfort with this aspect. You also have moon trine pluto and jupiter. moon trine pluto=strong willed in nature. moon trine jupiter=comfortably optimistic about what you feel and think in general.

You have mars trine neptune and also neptune in the 8th house. Mars-neptune is very very accessible imagination and artistic nature. I'm sure neptune hitting your mars gives you a passion to create in some way. Neptune then falling in your 8th house makes this heavier. You might have a very deep, expressive side which is the "truest" part of you. But a side that is hidden.

So, you see, from all your aspects and placements I dont see anything that deciphers the fears you have mentioned.

But I personally think it lies in the signs of your sun & mars combo. My sister is also a libra sun with mars in leo and she is a similar way. Her libra sun does not like to think about anything unpleasant and her leo mars much rather have everything be sunny and fun. She has said to me that she avoids anything "dark" becuase she has a harder time getting it out of her head. Cant be sure if it is the same with you but that is my guess from everything in your chart. I think it is just a part of your Venusian nature.

Although, as far as the darkness thing goes, for me it's kind of like licorice.

I don't really like it. Because well, it's kind of gross. But for whatever reason I still get regular cravings for it. And I guess after all these years I've learned to appreciate it for what it is. (Especially the salty kind.)

I actually just went back and read through here. By coincidence, I just remembered a story one of my cousins told me about an experience one of his freinds had. It is a bit similar to yours. He told me his friend came back really spooked one night. When he asked him what had happened his friend explained that when he was coming back home(it was at night and he was on a bike I believe) he saw from a distance two red lights on the side of the road. He said it was all dark and he couldnt see much but when he got closer and looked carefully it was a woman. Apparently her eyes had red lights in them. He said he drove away as fast as he could and did not look back. I was so freaked out by the story and my cousin told me he thought his friend was just high or something but I find it's really odd that you saw something similar. 0_0
