It's not right taking people's pictures without their permssion, people shouldn't do it but I noticed one thing about that Pics of Beautiful Women page - it doesn't seem like it was done with malicious intent. Whoever created it found pics of women they thought were beautiful and put them on that page together. It could be just be whomever did it admires them kinda like how a young person admires pics of fashion models or celebrities.This doesn't excuse stealing the pics, of course. And I wouldn't want someone to take mine and I wouldn't take theirs. Not an excuse, just saying. IP: Logged |

That's true, Hannie, you really can't trust most people. But what I was trying to say with my post is, being on a page like that wouldn't be as bad as having someone post nude pics, something like that, as far as intent, but it's still as bad because the pics were stolen in the first place. Those pics can easily be edited and their faces can be put on a nude body. It's totally wrong regardless of that person's intention. Even if it was done with postive intention it would be like robbing money from rich people to donate money to poor people. IP: Logged |

Anonomy, like I said, it's wrong to steal pics. Why do you think I NEVER post mine? It's because of bs like this! People always pull this stuff. It's just how they are. It always happens when people post pics. Just remember when you post a pic or share them online EVERYONE on earth who has a computer can access them. It's just been in my experience, posting pics online always causes drama. This is just another example, tbh, of what happens when people do it. Internet is too public and impersonal. It's like being an instant celebrity whenever someone posts their photo online. Someone is always gonna take it. Even people who don't repost on other sites will take that photo and download it, you have no idea who they are. Until there is a way to keep people from stealing them, it's always risky to post. I guess I am really surprised that anyone is shocked that someone used a photo they posted on the internet in a public forum.That doesn't mean I condone it. I think it's rotten and sad that someone feels like they have to steal photos. I'm just surprised at the pearl-clutching. This has been going on since the internet has been used. It used to be a big problem on parenting boards I'd go to. People would steal kid photos and start profiles on other boards claiming they were their own. It sucks but if you post pictures it's at your own 'risk'. That said, I post pictures of all sorts of things all the time.

Like with one of the profiles listed, the only reason we know it's fake is because we know who the real person is. Imagine how many profiles are actually fake and you just think they are legitimate because the real person is unfamiliar? You can never be sure if it's online is my motto.IP: Logged |
