I have venus sextile uranus (1 degree) but also moon and mars square uranus... I have a really hard time with commitment I think, and being really close with just 1 person. I mean, I really love it! I love getting to know new people, love them, commit myself to them. But then...crash...I feel so trapped, so bored... I get so insecure too.

I don't know if venus-uranus people (or uranus-moon for that sake) does what they actually want, or if it's just because they are afraid of what they want (or don't know what they want)
Maybe the easy aspect knows a little more, but even my sextile doesn't really do it for me...

I mean, I can stay with people (I'm also in a nice relationship now) but I sure feel like the person I am with should take care that I won't fall like a thin glass and break on the floor... it takes a special man (and very special synastry) to live with me I guess :S

But could be Mars/BML/Moon/ conj. ASC- OPP. Neptune + All square to Mercury!
I like to cause a stir- guilty !!! Maybe cause I cannot pretend or lie .
I have mellowed , cause in my 20's I was a bit extreme...like disappearing for months on end.

I think I learned how to manage the negative part of it. I used to feel trapped in relationships before, and couldn't stay in one for more than 2 months, cept for 1 LDR and 1 foggy yo-yo one. It used to shock me how easy it was for me to move on, no matter whether I broke uo or I was the one with the "broken" heart One day I'd be all sad, next day I wake up like nothing happened.

Things have changed, and I got married to a very Airy man with Saggi Venus in 11th House 5 months ago It's so easy with him, I don't feel like I want to escape. Instead, I send this electric energy into something more pleasurable

PS. Uranus
square Venus/Asc
conjunct Moon
trine Mars

Agreed. This aspect is pure hotness for me. It's like I'm my own fast & sexy sports car. I'm the driver, and the damn car too!

I'm happy for you that you have found a home for your energy. I recently had an epiphany. I know who I'm looking for. I don't know his name (maybe I do) but I know who he has to be, what he needs to bring, in order to hold me.

The idea of Uranian energy being like electric energy is so perfect. Either it's grounded or it isn't.

Cancer Venus Trine Scorpio Uranus Orb 3:21'

Congratulations on your trine!

"Venus Trine Uranus: You have a sparkling, fun-loving nature and are always full of surprises. You're popular, spontaneous, unconventional and very attractive to the opposite sex. You have a very romantic and sensitive streak and lots of sex appeal that attracts romance easily. You have unusual friends and very exciting romances and marriage. You tend to see the silver lining of every cloud and your positive attitude attracts people with money and importance. Artistically, you're a very fine actor and have a very distinctive style that often involves electronics in some capacity. You can be very fortunate financially. Sudden separations often work to your advantage. This aspect can help in your search for spirituality"
http://www.oocities.org/rbltre/astro/veasur.html

I also read that Uranus is exalted in Scorpio.

"Scorpio is Uranus' strongest, most creative sign placement where it expresses its energy in its highest, most positive form"

For me what you said is key. "maybe I cannot pretend or lie"

That is how it is. And for me my power comes from not apologizing for myself.

It's funny you mentioned the age difference between you and your bf. When I was in my early 20s my husband was 10 years older. The men that were attracted to me and made it clear were 10-20 years older. My closest friends were 10 years older. Now I am in my 30s, and the men approaching me are all much younger- 6 years on average. I haven't accepted any of them, but I worry about the age of my next serious relationship. I am a little prejudice. How on earth is a younger guy going to handle me?

Lots of young women are coming into my life too. That makes a ton of sense. Women 15-infinity need understanding, non-judgment, love and encouragement to be who they are- to learn their lessons and find their own truth.

I think you are right that it takes a special man. I know I can't settle for less than amazing, because my life is already amazing (ups and downs and everything) when I'm all by myself.

Since Saturn and Uranus are kind of opposite, how does this aspect play out for you? You mentioned Venus-Pluto. I have Venus-Pluto too. What is the relationship?

Ok. It's gonna take me a minute to break those aspects down to understand what they mean. Venus-Pluto is easy enough.

It's cool he has Venus-Uranus. I need that or something like it. I am raising my children on my own, and I like it like that. I'm not looking for a co-parenting, co-habitator (made that word up). I just want someone with whom I can share deeply, travel, explore, laugh. Men even 5 years older than me are still looking for that traditional set-up. Wife, kids, white picket-fence... Lol, this is not picket-fence territory.

I can commit. I can't have sex without committing, it's just that what I am willing to commit to is rather unconventional...but I am not unfair (smiles slyly) if he's worth it, I'd be willing to let him have both.

Have fun! I'll take a look at what his placements/aspects mean- love to learn.

And right now I'm stuck with the bad quality relationship where he always said he love me but I don't feel uncomfortable in our relationship anymore.

I wish I could have a full power of it.

@LovelyKitty

Are you a Libra Sun/Moon?

Your Saturn oppose your DSC.

That may explain some...

Hi Lovely,

There are several skilled astrologers who can give you more specific insight on your aspects and how you can work with them.

I'll just say that it's hard to simply tell yourself you deserve to be loved, and then run out and get it. What I think has to happen is you have to fall in love with yourself. If you think you have nothing to offer, then of course you will think no one will love you. People recognize this and take advantage of it.

I think of falling in love with yourself the same way I think of falling in love with someone else. It didn't happen while I was sitting at home contemplating loving myself. I got up and got out and tried new things. I challenged myself. I learned about myself. I learned that I am strong and smart and compassionate among other things. I am all the things I love in other people.

Give yourself a chance to find yourself and fall in love with yourself. You may have a few more bad experiences with men, but each time you will learn more about what works for you and what doesn't.

I'll add, LovelyKitty, that I was in a committed relationship for 4 years when I realized there was a problem. I stayed another 6 years before I left, or was ready for it to end. At that time I was only just a little interested in myself and curious about who I really am. It took me another 7 years to really fall in love with me. And my next committed relationship is going to be with the love of my life. It's a process.

But I think that aside from the way venus-uranus/mars-neptune aspects are experienced by the other person involved, there are some significant differences. I think the author even says that they are basically the same in how the aspect person is experienced by their friends and lovers.

Again, as a beginner I can only read interpretations and feel out what fits me best.

So obviously I have venus-uranus, but I also have mars-neptune. For me mars-neptune IS about orgasm addiction. It IS about playing a submissive role in bed. But not for fun and games like my Gem Mars likes to play, but to get lost. I don't mean escapism. I mean to get lost, or go back to something I already know. When I was a kid, long before I ever started having sex, I was able to separate from myself- like I was looking at the world and my life from another spiritual perspective/realm (if you get it you get it, if you don't...it's ok. Most people don't) When I got older, I was so distracted by life I couldn't do what I could do as a kid. The only time I'd experience this state was when I had an orgasm. But depending on the person and situation it would be amazing, or not worth my time, ever again, ever. I am very picky about who I sleep with because I know what I'm after. I think mars-neptune people who exhibit the same traits as venus-uranus women are actually chasing something, and it can be a desperate chase, where there is nothing desperate about the decision making of venus-uranus aspect. We are driven by something, and that something is our own truth

Edit: let go is a better term than get lost....

I think the mars-neptune and venus-uranus are the ones against their gender archetypes. Like female energy when added with neptune would be ethereal, but when added with uranus would be fleeting, dangerous, exciting

on the other hand, for male energy, when added neptune, there's this gentle, tender approach yet so elusive and hard to catch at the same time.
Uranus is obviously a much more stereotypically male energy (Aqua)

When you have Saturn in one of your angles.

It'll make you deal with feeling of inadequacy, unworthiness, obstructions, delays, and responsibilities.

ASC = Doubt about your appearance and worthiness.
IC = Home life with a lot of discipline or coldness.
DSC = Unrequited love, Older partner, doubt about values & worth.
MC = Difficulties at work or with authority figures.

Hmmm, that's an interesting theory, theunknown. But, I know quite a few Mars-Neptune men who have problems going against the masculine ideal, as well. One friend of mine has the square and has always been pretty obsessive over what it means to be "a man", to the point of being obviously insecure, although he's been growing out of this a bit with time.

I think the thing is that Neptune idealizes and creates a dream image. So, you could more so say that a Mars-Neptune male has a dream image of what it means to be a man, whether that means being more sensitive, artistic, ethereal, etc. and still retaining your masculinity or living up to the masculine image of society. I have Mars trine Neptune and have always been much more of the former. I've always dissociated from those archaic expectations of men but I definitely don't feel disconnected from my yang, either. I think you can be both. Not all Mars-Neptune men are going to be dreamy, gentle, self-effacing souls. They can still be very masculine.

Meanwhile, Uranus is going to give a person detachment, progressiveness, and independent-mindedness regarding the principles of the planet it connects to. So, you could say that Venus-Uranus women are more detached from the feminine ideals and are more progressive, free-spirited examples of femininity. But, I don't think it necessarily makes them less feminine. Just women marching to their own beat.

Well, it also depends on the mars sign and the aspects. But generally if Neptune touches the personal planet, the native would be able to sense how others are feeling. So of course the natives would eventually be somewhat responsive ...

I think the Uranus venus woman is like the one whom every man wants to CHEAT with, but not so much marry

So how do you guys think a man expresses or feels Venus-Uranus (Gemini30 wasn't too excited), and a woman expresses Mars-Neptune?

For me Venus-Uranus (once I grew into it) represents the way I live my life. Mars-Neptune describes my sexual nature, with my sexual nature being strongly spiritual.

Cancer Venus XI trine Scorpio Uranus IV
Gemini Mars XI opposite Sagittarius Neptune V

Venus trine Uranus feels like love in a free way. I have had it with someone, We could have our own space and feel like the other person would never cheat. We also have mars trine Neptune..... Tons of sexual fantasies.

Everyday felt like a new adventure...!

Virgo28, do you think there is a difference in how men and women experience these aspects?

Edit:

I mean how they would experience these aspects personally in their own natal chart. So, is there a difference in how Venus-Uranus works for a woman compared with a man, and the same with Mars-Neptune?
