How have you experienced Venus in the 12H?Venus in the 12th house can indicate past lives as a nun or priestess. This is a placement that has both problematic and very positive aspects. It may be the signature aspect of secret love affairs. It's also one of the aspects indicating "impossible love." Venus in the 12H is archetypal and to some degree less personal. Depending on the evolution of the soul, the person is "tuned" to experiences of love that help them grow larger as a person at the very least or to mystical states of transcendental Love. This may be why it's associated with lifetimes as a nun or priestess. Venus in the 12H suggests a yearning for the Divine Beloved and/or soul mate. They also have values that don't necessarily conform with the culture they live in. Venus in the 12H can be shy, socially awkward, or reclusive. This is just my experience but Venus in the 12H regards the unseen as beneficent and attracts help from invisible beings/forces. I think this is a wonderful compensation for the sacrifice or heartbreak that is also a manifestation of this placement. IP: Logged |

Yes, I have this placement, and I also did my past lives regression once, and it turned out I was a nun in one of my past lives. And, strangely enough, in this lifetime I grew up in a family full of nuns and priests (my aunts, cousins and uncles). And, not surprisingly, I have a love life of a nun, too! I hate that aspect. Square NeptuneI pretty much agree but I'm not sure about the past life thing.

lol. I've known a number of people I suspect were monks in past lives. Could it be partly the aspects to your Venus, Kibriana, and not just the placement? IP: Logged |

I have this image of a monk/scholar doing illustrations in a great tome. Maybe it's the Mercury/Venus. Venus square Neptune. I have that one too. Do you like love stories that span lifetimes? I do. I do! (Love stories) She came to that conclusion because mars is very active when my chart is looked at closer. Jupiter in 8th square sun on regulus. Some asteroids and things as well.

I have Venus in the 12th. I was picked on when I was little and didn't really feel beautiful. Now, People tell me I am beautiful and I don't believe them. I attract unavailable men alot.IP: Logged |

I have experienced Venus in the 12th something like this: an extreme over-idealization of love when young, then having heart crushed when realized others don't believe in nor live up to this ideal. Then finally finding what felt like "my perfect relationship" and was soooo in love and happy for two years only to crush my own heart and love-idealization by accidentally falling in love at first sight with someone I could never have and who would never reciprocate, then spending the next three years of my relationship wallowing in confusion and depression over my feelings for another person whom I could never have and hating myself for having the feelings in the first place, realizing my idealization of love is impossible and that if I can't even live up to it than I can't expect others to, also worrying that the same thing would happen to my partner at the time. I don't think I was a nun in a past life but I could see myself as being a monk. I agree that Venus in the 12th can be lonely and can come with a lot of suffering and heartache. IP: Logged |

as a kid my mother had a secret relationship..noone knew for 7years,just me,her and him.not even one of her best friends..i knew because he was coming in our home..i remember my mother told me that we can't tell to anyone and that was it..i kept the secret for years i was around 8 years old when it started..growning up and looking back it was like a double life..i didn't even like the guy actually i hated him but my mother and i had that special bond,i did whatever she told me back then..i'm good at keeping secrets in general,my mom and her girlfriends talked about their personal lifes in front of me cause they knew that i wouldn't tell anyone 
i had never have a secret affair myself,although i had a thing for unavailable men,i was attracted to them and them to me but i never got into one...but i have one,two friends that my other friends don't know about them..we have private meetings and communication
about my personal life i'm secretive in general i don't want everyone in my social circle to know about it just my good friends
i'm romantic and shy with strangers..many people told me that i confuse them and that's logic because i'm always confused if i could choose a status for me that would be confused and the phrase i say constantly is "i don't know"ha,ha

I'm also good at keeping secrets. The thing with attracting or being attracted to unavailable men has something to do I think with a desire for a love that's larger than life, or an ideal which is Venus in major aspect to an outer planet and also Venus in the 12H because the 12H is archetypal and unbounded. So the choice of someone who is unattainable is deliberate though probably unconscious, and often doesn't register at a conscious level as being a choice, but rather may seem more like fate perhaps. I think it's the placement, not the aspects. It seems quite legit to me, especially with the number of nuns and priests I have in my family. Of course,not everyone with the 12th house Venus had been a nun/ priest. 12th house rules other solitary and confined places as well.
Also, I believe other aspects and placements tell us about other past lives which we're supposed to deal with in this lifetime. DeepFreeze mentioned being a soldier. AAccording to my past life regression I had been a soldier, too, but I can see the echoes of that life in my Aries Sun.
As for my Venus aspects (Venus square Saturn, Venus opposition Uranus), I believe they refer to other past lives, like the one where I was a teacher, somewhere in South Carolina, just after the Civil War. Single woman, of course (that nunnery thing can't seem to leave me alone!) but then some things happened which threatened my family and my home (4th house Saturn). I can see a lot of reoccuring elements in my life which make me believe in all that. For example, I'm a teacher in this lifetime, too. And I'm still single (why the hell not). Also, my Venus is in Taurus, and according to karmic astrology, a planet in a fixed sign means that the issues have not been resolved lifetime after lifetime, which is obviously very true in my case.

Venus in the 12H has positive aspects, just as the 12H does, so I think it's a combination of the placement in the 12H and the aspects. Saturn and Uranus are heavyweights. Having them in hard aspects to Venus is tough in relationships, no matter what house Venus is in. Saturn and Uranus represent very difficult archetypal principles and integrating them is challenging for us all, but perhaps easier when we get older and hopefully wiser. Also, people with Venus-Saturn in major aspect tend to have their most significant relationship later in life. IP: Logged |

I'm a rescuer too and it's gotten me into trouble. It sounds like the same has happened to you. I don't think you have to stop being a kind person. How do you stop being who you are, it's who you are. It's good that you recognize the pattern and you're able to stop yourself from getting involved. You say you "need to" rescue these men. Cap venus in the 12th (in a stellium).How I experience it. Hmm I idealize love. The more rational part of me knows that it may one day be my downfall but heh thanks to the 12th house influence I don't even mind. I've always thought that it "makes" my life. peony,Your analysis is spot on for me. I am a rescuer, and have attracted unavailable men before. After the last drama, which was especially heartbreaking for me, I took a step back and started re-evaluating my unconscious patterns, and 1 part is the 'rescuing' energy, which I realised needs to be invested in other areas rather than suppressed and ignored. I started doing volunteer work and am at great peace with myself, I've discovered a lot of early-life suppressed memories about wanting to work with human rights and help people, but as I got older I drifted in other directions. Now I'm making my way back to my life's purpose slowly. In terms of romance, I haven't met anyone new yet, but my expectations have already shifted - I want a real partner now, not someone to save. What I've realised is that romantic interactions are so powerful and we as human beings project a lot onto them, which often leads to attracting the wrong people. Once you realign with your inner authority, I think better relationships start coming along. At least I hope so 
My Venus is in the 12th House, it squares Pluto and the Moon (Pluto and Moon are opposite) and it also conjuncts my Ascendant.
