My mercury is crazy , I have scorpio Mercury conjunct 2nd cusp and it is my 1st and 10th ruler. My mercury conjunct many asteroid too- Eros/karma/destinn/pandora all in scorpio.

I return the answers only for someone I want to communicate . It dosen't matters how I feel about that persons , but it is about how I want to response that or not . Or else, whether the content is interesting enough to reply back .
But if this about work-text, I must reply to every text.

3) Can you speak any other languages? (assuming everyone here speaks english)If you can't - when/if you travel does it interest you to learn a few phrases in advance?
I speak 3 languages , I will learn the 4th soon .
If I travel , I will not interesting to learn any phrases though. I have purpose every time I learn somethings new.

I think I have a very hard one , it is scorp Mercury . I prefer any that has earth or water mercury too , someone who 's not chatty all the times .

I like men with scorpio venus conjunct my mercury ...this could make me madly in love hahahaha

If I'm checking my phone, I'll respond to messages, but I usually don't check it for hours (or days) so I'm bad with responding sometimes. Actually, unless I'm physically around someone often, they won't hear much from me. I haven't talked to most of my family in months, but when I visit, I am very close to them. Same with many of my best friends. My mom complains so I make it a point to call her periodically.

I learned French in school, and I grew up around Spanish, I'm okay but not fluent with either. I've found that if I meet someone and we have a language barrier, I have an easier time communicating with them than average. For the last scenario ^ I would never do that because I've had that happen to me and it never comes across as not hostile. Unless of course the person I'm speaking in a different language with can only talk to me in that language.

Aquarius mercuries are my best friends, I have the most fun / laugh the most with them. Scorpio mercuries are my other best friends, the ones I delve deep into conversation with. Sag mercuries - only met one and he's my boyfriend, we practically finish each other's sentences.
I like earth mercuries, but I find that they like to talk to me about things like their job, real estate, money, business, things that bore me to death. But if I can get them to talk to me about other things, I love talking to them.

Oh my Gods, I can't even begin to say how fast I reply to texts and emails, or how annoying it is waiting for other people to respond. I just don't do phone calls though.

I'm struggling to learn Spanish, and I'm trying to learn French as well. If I could, I would probably use the others if I didn't want anyone to know what I was saying.

Hermes in the Air Signs are always nice conversationists (is that even a word), as is Hermes in Virgo.

I don't really care much, as long as I have a comment about the subject. In particular though, I could talk about the occult, the Great Goddess (and other goddesses), and mythology. Morality and ethics are also good, but that's more for trying to see other view points. ^-^

I usually return texts pretty quickly, sometimes I take awhile though. I prefer to send concise and frequent ones to long ones.

I only speak one language

I really don't pay enough attention to Mercury in synastry... I just checked out the people I communicate with best's Mercuries for the first time. And I saw two Geminis and an Aquarius. Interesting.

I love talking about various things but I seem to fixate most on society, health, psychology and politics.

My Cancer friend complains I drop off the face of the earth, so does my mom (Taurus ASC, Aries Sun, Libra Moon) I will usually only keep a text conversation going for a short period of time, probably best described as 'intermittent'. I get impatient when someone doesn't respond to me quickly (and they are usually a fixed sign Taurus or Scorpio) in the middle of making plans, because I have other plans I'm trying organize but I can't move on until each one is complete and penciled in.

I return texts a LOT faster than phone calls. I actually don't like speaking on the phone unless I feel too lazy to text. I am definitely one who will let the phone go to voicemail so much that people have joked I will never be their emergency contact. I like texting better because I find people will be more concise and to the point and I can get more from the conversation that way. I was NEVER ever one of those girls who stayed on the phone with her friends / boyfriends for hours when I was young.

Speak? I can speak a little Spanish, but I understand a lot of it. I'm teaching myself French right now and I used to practice American Sign Language. No, I never tried learning phrases before I traveled.
I don't know if I would communicate in a different language with someone else, etc...depends what I wanted to say. I probably would because it'd be more convenient than waiting until we were alone for me to share whatever.

I generally dislike talking on the phone unless we have an extremely close friendship. I can only name 3 people that I would call. Texting – usually I am pretty good on answering text messages within a few hours. There are days where I go into hermit mode and not reply to any messages. I do get complains as to why I do not reach out to my friends, even people that I am close to. I admit that I suck at initiating contact unless I have to.

I am bilingual in Cantonese in English. I also speak some basic Mandarin and Korean.

- Depends on who it is. If it's from a family member or my best friend I'll usually respond right away unless I'm tied up with something important or at work. For people I'm not as close to it depends on how interesting they are to me and how much I want to get to know them. If they're someone I want to be closer to I'll answer them faster. As far as dealing with anything "official" on the phone like talking to someone at a bank or some other company, I have to be in the right mindset lol. I have almost a ritual where I have to take a shower, use the bathroom, eat something, and do some deep breathing first to get myself focused on what we're going to be talking about, and to make sure I'm comfortable and nothing is distracting me, otherwise I WILL NOT be able to focus on the conversation and will sound like a bumbling idiot lol! Which I'm sure is from my Mercury in Pisces being easily distracted and wanting to escape from serious conversations!

- My main language is English. I used to know some words and phrases in Spanish but they've escaped me now lol. I took two years of French classes in high school and I've recently picked up studying French again so that's starting to come back to me, although I'm not quite fluent. I also was obsessed with anime a couple years back and learned a little bit of Japanese but not much of that has stuck with me lol. Of course, I haven't traveled out of the country and don't have any opportunities to practice these languages with native speakers so if I don't stay on top of practicing it all goes right out my left ear!

- My best friend has Mercury in Scorpio and she's probably the easiest person for me to talk to. Other than that I haven't paid too much attention.
