I know pisces is super emotional and somewhat moody, is cancer more mature and less moody or more so? Pisces can be kind of flakey, is cancer worse?IP: Logged |

I'm a Pisces moon and I'm very intuitive. I am uber compassionate about everyone I meet. I believe in the best of humanity. I can be sensitive but I don't like to show when I'm really upset at something. I tend to keep that to myself. My dad is a Cancer moon. He is so wishy washy with his emotions and can be very hyper sensitive. One time my dad spent a few hours cooking dinner and my mom said it was too late for her to eat because she would get heartburn if she ate too late. So he threw everything out in the trash (btw, this is totally something I would have done too lol). He is very sensitive though with his emotions, and just gets random mood swings. When he gets like this, I have to tell myself it's just his Cancer moon coming out lol. I don't know if that helps at all IP: Logged |

Pisces moons gets way too easily influenced by others and are more "lost" with what they are feeling and who they are and they should really be careful with who they hang around with while cancer moons are more fixed in their personalities and less influenced by others i have noticed. Pisces moons are more compassionate, tolerant and forgiving than a cancer moon is. Both are very moody because they take in so much. In my experience pisces moons are definitely more flakey. Awww I'm not flakey! At least I don't think I am. But I am very easily influenced. I just want to be cordial to everyone I meet. I dislike confrontation. I heard that Pisces moon tends to personality shift based on who they hang out with. Which is so so true for me. With my extroverted outgoing friends, I am super bubbly. However I'm most comfortable when I'm with my laid back/mellow friends, I'm laid back with them. I'm like a sponge of feelings and emotions. I will absorb others' demeanors. IP: Logged |

I'm a pisces moon (8th house), and it can be very tough to be around mean spirited or nasty people. Their negativity till rub off on me and sort of ruin my day if I am not careful. Boundaries are very important, as well as something like a walk or meditation, after being around such negativity.I find it amazing that so many pisces mooners have responded so far.

Vedic Pisces Moon 11th house. This should make me ultra super sensitive, but ultra intelligent, no? (;Not sure how well my tropical 12th house Aries Moon vibes with me, I'm very sensitive and emotional for a dude (also have vedic cancer Venus 3rd house). I almost cried once for someone accidentally giving me a paper cut in my eye back in middle school. Growing up though, I always carried this "universal love", termed by my parents. I always attracted positive situations, etc. In kindergarden, I use to pat kids on the back of their head, and hug e v e r y o n e. I'm also very sensitive to life. I can "feel" music throughout my body, if you sneeze and I focus on you, I can feel a electrical shock through my body. Can be very moody, and yes, I have to be ultra careful who I hang around... I will prolly delete this comment btw IP: Logged |

Me too! I'm a Pisces Sun, Moon, and Mercury in the 8th house! Boundaries are sooo important. My mom is extremely type A personality and is always super anxious. Sometimes I literally cannot be around her because her energy just gives me so much anxiety, ughhh!! IP: Logged |

Pisces moons...flakey?Well if you mean: - Staring off into space - Not answering questions - Appearing to speak on autopilot and not even remembering what they said - Not wanting to do things for indescribable reasons - Cancelling plans for indescribable reasons - Seeming lost and unwilling to become found Then yes, I am flakey. However, when I switch "on" and engage with people fully, they have my complete attention, possibly more attention than they are used to getting, and maybe that's why people I just met often cry around me, because I am listening with total respect and openness to whatever they have to say. And I've stood there in random public places listening to long, long stories from, say, old people, and down-and-outers, and thanked them sincerely for the conversation, when I'm pretty sure most other people don't go around doing that. Which is the opposite of flakey. It's attentive in the extreme. Pisces moon is mutable, you see. Cancer moons can also be very nice and generous with their time. They seem more robust and talkative than Pisces moons, and sometimes their political or religious bent shows a desire to protect themselves and build a shell, like they have an us versus them mentality. And that mentality may stay with them or harden with time, whereas I see less of this with Pisces moons...we might experiment with ideology but usually try to be as inclusive as we can figure out how to be. Perhaps it's like.... Cancer moons: keep their hearts smaller but well-maintained and warm and manageable. Pisces moons: strive to expand our hearts to the fullest extent but may become exhausted, dissipated, and cold in the process. But I really don't know for sure. ------------------ 6H Capricorn sun, 6H Aquarius Mercury, 8H Pisces moon, Leo rising IP: Logged |

My moon is cancer(12h) and my younger sister's is in pisces(4h) and I have to agree Im more wishy washy when it comes to my emotions where as my sister is very laid back and drive herself crazy with where she stands on how she's feeling. I'm an anxious person I think it's bc of my cancer moon. She lets her emotions come and go, but I have to pull back from time to time because I feel like I could easily get over-involved and attached. She could be feeling the weight of the world on her shoulders, but won't make a big deal out of it. She doesn't really think being over-involved is a bad thing though I guess its because Pisces a bit more service oriented which makes her much more sociable I believe. Let's say someone comes crying to one of us, I'm more likely to offer to advice and food(stereotypical cancer thing I'm sorry) and my sister would rather walk hand in hand with a person with whatever they're going through. I'm hesitant when it comes down to it. I think we're both always daydreaming though. But, pisces mooners can recreate different scenarios about the same thing and cancers moons will cling on to certain thoughts. Both can be manipulative, except pisces moons have that shape shifting thing going on so a lot of people don't catch it. They usually do it by pretending they need your help to get you do to something, but that isn't black/white or bad/good. Cancer moons can be a little more cynical when upset or when finally letting emotions explode. I think when a pisces moon is upset they make you feel guilty more than anything else. IP: Logged |

I really appreciate all you pisces Mooners replying and I'm do want to say sorry for the "Flakey" comment. Honestly I didn't realize how much you absorb ppls energies and maybe that's why you come across as so changeable. I have a 12th house virgo moon and totally get having to protect yourself from absorbing ppls energy and how hard it is to stay stable once I have absorbed their energy😔 I'm an earth moon so I'm sure it's much easier for me than it is for you, being a water moon. Thank you for your insights guys! Faith I can really see your point regarding the perks versus the drawbacks, you guys are good kind hearted ppl! IP: Logged |

Pisces moon is not manipulative and is not easily offended. The same cannot be said of Cancer moon, even though the moon is in its dignity there. Pisces moon will care about the underdog and the downtrotten. Cancer moon only tends to care about "me and mine." Cancer moon wants to show her love with nurturing meals and cozy and warm home. Pisces moon can be scattered and is not as reliable in these areas, domestic qualities are not as strong as in Cancer. Cancer moon are fanaticals about loyalty. Pisces moons are more fluid and understand that things are not so black and white. Cancer moon is moody, but nevertheless more practical. Pisces moon is moody but a little too dreamy and thinks its fantasies are reality. Cancer moon will hold on to imagined or real hurts for a long time. Pisces moon will let go more easily. Cancer will let you know (not directly) that you've hurt their feelings. Pisces moon may never let you know... IP: Logged |

Thanks Gabby. 12H moon is definitely going to have its share of Pisces qualities. I forgot to say that my Pisces moon squares Gemini Mars and Sag Neptune. I'm flakier than other Pisces moons. -- Also, relative to what I was saying at the end of my first post...I was thinking of Cancer as the more yang moon, because Cancer is a summer sign, and Pisces as the more yin, because it's winter. Both are yin but Pisces, moreso. There is a deep, quiet center in all the Pisces moons I've known. Most people miss it, because it's quiet.

It's hard to describe. It's as if, when we speak, we are always circumventing this large empty space within ourselves. Like we speak from the outer edge. edit- to put it more simply- I think we hold a lot in, out of respect for other people. There's a lot we won't say because we don't want to hurt someone. There's a lot that we feel that we can't describe, so that's another way we develop this silent habit. And we have some emotions that are strong enough to shut us down completely...at that point we retreat into a place of solitude that we've cultivated within ourselves, after years of experience have taught us, that's what we need. Very insightful!! I would like to add that Pisces is more receptive and tends to lacks boundaries so she takes more in, while Cancer has a tender protective shell which protects her from taking on too much from the outside. Because of the lack of boundaries, Pisces moon can be prone to substance addiction as a way to escape... Cancer moon does not really have that addiction problem, other than loving food a little too much sometimes.

My daughter is a Pisces Moon, her dad a Cancer Moon. The difference I see is that she is compassionate and loving to ALL creatures, regardless of what they do, who they are.. Cancer Moon is this way toward THEIR OWN, but can be very traditional and a little unyielding towards others way of life if it differs much to their own. IP: Logged |
