quote:
Ceres in the first house grants a natural look when it comes to appearance and manner of dress. You nourish others, literally or metaphorically. Others may see you as an embodiment or servant of the great goddess, or at least, as a mother figure wise in the ways of Womanhood, for you come across as someone who has undergone female rites of passage and who knows how to guide others through such territory. If you are male, you are likely to have a natural respect for the Feminine, which could grant you a pagan reputation of some kind. The issue of identity is very important to you, for through it you give to others; if it is threatened or lost, you are likely to undergo profound transformations as a result. This could involve the rediscovery of the feminine within yourself.

quote:
Ceres in the second house indicates that you like to nurture a sense of self worth through the development of resources and abilities, as well as through the cultivation of a healthy value system. You are at home in the physical world and in your body, with a graceful earthiness that is both healthy and a pleasure to behold. You may cling to possessions or old values that no longer serve you. Hating to throw anything away, your appreciation of the earth's limited resources makes you a natural protector of the environment and a champion of such practices as recycling and wilderness preservation. The waste or devastation of resources - the earth's or your own - can cause you much grief, and may trigger a profound inner transformation.

quote:
Ceres in the third house indicates that you nurture others through providing teachings, counsel, or information - perhaps in order to address the unrelieved grief or longing in others. Your thoughts, writings or conversations may revolve around the various rites of passage and transformations of life. Other people may find this very healing somehow, for your teaching is full of care, and your care is full of teaching. It is possible that, as a child, you did not receive enough of this kind of information yourself, and that this has led you to seek and provide it to others. You may have felt a need to see to the more mundane needs of brothers and sisters, providing food for them or perhaps for the extended family, neighborhood, or community.

quote:
Ceres in the fourth house indicates a capacity for emotional empathy and caring that calls to mind the unity between a mother and her unborn infant. Nurturance is associated with an emotional communication so connected that words are almost unnecessary and "cutting the cord" feels like a threat to life itself. Perhaps the birth experience or some other parent-child separation at a young age was a traumatic experience that introduced grief into childhood. At any rate, you have an incredible capacity to provide emotional nurturance and, with the home possibly serving as a base of operations, you like to nurture others by providing food, child care, or emotional healing through any method that addresses the wounds of childhood.

quote:
Ceres in the fifth house indicates that you can heal and nurture others through the gift of creative expression. Your creative expressions truly touch the heart, and may deal with the poignant sufferings of Love. Nurturance may also be expressed through involvement with children, adventure, and loving playfulness. Fertility - its abundance or loss - may be an issue; or there may be a desire to adopt or foster children. Your romantic ideals may be founded upon the image of an all-loving parent figure. Experiences such as the loss of creative inspiration, or separation from children or romantic partners could initiate a journey into the depths from which you emerge transformed.

quote:
Ceres in the sixth house indicates that the work place is the arena in which you express your nurturing qualities. Perhaps your co-workers or employees find something comforting or reassuring in you. You may help them in a loving way to improve their work performance, acquire new skills, or advance their careers. The integration of parenting and the daily work environment can be a major concern for you, and you're all for such policies as company day-care. Conflicting demands between parenting and work (or the acquisition of work skills) could lead you to make sacrifices in one area on behalf of the other.

Ceres forms a harmonious aspect with the Sun. The qualities of nurturance and emotional bonding combine with the sense of self-essence or self-identity in a natural, easy manner. You like to care for others, and your grace in dealing with life's losses and difficult rites of passage makes you a comfort to others grappling with these issues. You may have a green thumb, for you have a knack for getting things to flourish.

quote:
Ceres forms a challenging aspect with the Moon. Your experience of mother-child bonding themes blends with your natural emotional and instinctive needs in such a way that these two aspects of yourself seem to be at odds with each other. The need to care for others may conflict with the need to have your own emotional needs met. Or perhaps you feel emotionally threatened by relationships that always seem to become "too close for comfort," and you respond by severing ties, or avoiding closeness altogether. If so, such behavior can lead to feelings of loneliness and a heightened unmet need for bonding. Such types of conflict may have their roots in your past experience of life's losses and difficult rites of passage, or in your experience of the formation and severance of strong emotional ties, especially your experience (or lack of experience) of maternal bonding. The struggle is to find a way to first recognize, then accept, both the need for nurturing ties and the need for emotional safety. These needs only appear to conflict, due to the natural tendency to unconsciously repress or project one of them out onto others.

Ceres forms a harmonious aspect with Mercury. Your intellect, mental processes, and communication skills are colored by the archetypal Demeter-Persephone myth. Your grace in communicating and teaching others about life's losses and difficult rites of passage makes you a comfort to others grappling with these issues. You have a knack for making people feel understood in a motherly way, and for being able to communicate on their level. You are a compassionate teacher.

Due to mine in Pisces, I am addicted to certain foods.
Family, tradition + comfort eating. It's the worst addiction to fight. We eat to sustain.
Did I say it sucks?

I have Ceres in Cancer in the 8th opposite Venus, not sure what it means, but I have a lot of Cancer placements among people around me. They hit either Venus-Ceres opposition or Valentine in Capricorn square Pluto, and generally I am very giving and devoted to my friends.

I don't resonate with typical Cap Venus qualities except for difficulties and delays in social and romantic life and age gap in relationships. But I am not at all pragmatic in my relationships, rather the opposite. Not sure if it's Ceres' influence or the fact that my Venus is parallel to my Neptune and Valentine.
