That's very interesting....is it like tr. Venus is forcing me to look at myself(retrograde) and take responsibility(Saturn) for my moon which is acting out in a very unloving way??

Tr. Rx Venus leo@25.13
Moon/Saturn midpoint leo@25.42
Mars/Venus midpoint leo@24.18
Chiron/Mars midpoint taurus@26.53

Why do I feel like such a weight is lifted, like something that's been holding me back now I have the knowledge to know what to do to overcome it. I see what I'm doing and how it's not supporting to my goals or life path, it's destructive to me because I'm ruled by love and this behavior is not loving!
Even my Sun/Moon midpoint is in libra/1st house! Lol

I guess the venus retrograde is to credit for this realization! I love it when I have epiphanies, it just seems to open up the world with more possibilities and optimism. I imagine you're feeling liberated in a way.

Too much negativity.

Ahhh....she never explained to me exactly why she doesn't do confrontation. I'd just always assumed it was to keep the peace or maintain her balance emotionally. Sorry my assumption was incorrect.

But that is typical of peacemaker types who contrarily suffer occasional blind rages. You overlook things or sweep it under the emotional rug ... until you've had enough!

Your Sun-Mercury at 21 south declination are both Parallel Neptune 20S40. This adds to the tendency to people-please, as well as Venus [5S34] contra-parallel Jupiter [4N34] in your chart. This requires becoming more assertive in the moment as you first notice little things bothering you. When this steam is let out of the nervous system more often by direct address to the sources of your irritation, it is less likely to build up in the ugly expressions you describe.

I know about this from my past volcanic temper. I've learned I have the right to express irritation verbally to others in a constructive way, so that nowadays I'm much more likely to express irritation and anger more often, but it never goes volcanic, because I'm not storing $#!T in the 'anger siloh.'

That makes a lot of sense! I love your comment, saggy...boom out the mouth! Lol I literally did laugh out loud when I read that...I've lived it to many times!

I love epiphanies also!! And yes I do feel liberated, I do have the right to express anger, but as has been pointed out do it in more positive ways. Maybe release a little at a time instead of expecting myself to be perfectly happy all the time until until I can't take it anymore, then explode. This makes sense to me!

I have known Sagittarian, Cappy, and Taurus placements, to have wicked tempers - Leo, too. I might say more later.

Anger is not always a bad thing. Afterall, it comes from being wronged or some kind of injustice. We're only human afterall.

Some people are just really sh*tty people and deserve to get their souls destroyed, IMO!

But yes, holding it in until it explodes is something I'm very familiar with - I believe can be a Libran tendency.

I read a comment in a book once: There is a lot of violence pent up in the sign of Capricorn.

It resonated with me because, while I am not violent, when pushed to my limit, I become scary. And I know other Caps who are the same; many of us start hurling stuff like a literal tornado. And I've said this before but I feel like my vibes go nuclear and I don't even really need to do anything except say a few words and the person leaves.

I don't consider that a bad temper, though.

To me, "a bad temper" is when someone is crabby and gets pi$$ed off about minor things all the time.

Which I've seen more with Leo. Especially Pluto in Leo.

The worst I've EVER seen was a sag with heavy cap and rx Taurus mars. Yikes!
Don't keep sharp objects around!

That said, I think fire signs in general are quick tempered.
I think the "wicked award" goes to earth, once you finally push them. They just go off!!
Air and water. Idk.

^^ I agree and feel that is a useful distinction.

Fire is quick tempered, earth is more wicked.

Water can also be intimidating...if you've never seen an infuriated Pisces, you don't really know what fury is.

Well that's me. LOL
Your daughter might have another idea.
You see, in 'my perfect world' (lol), nobody has to argue. Everything can be sorted out by talking in a resonable manner. Those that needs to raise voice or use violence etc...there is something wrong with them. LOL

There is also a feeling of.... the other is too agressive (according to those that have Mars in Libra) that I won't be able to big mouth those that already have a bigger mouth. lol So it's too stressful and better to walk away.

I think I would maybe add Mars in the 12th house.

I have that and I hold a lot of stuff in. Then I explode and feel like crap about it.

That's currently me. But not all the time. I never used to be that way.

My sister is scary. I'm talking about throwing things at me, attacking me physically. The freeze is the nicer part of it all.

Mum can be scary - she used to be. She has Mars/Pluto in Leo, Sun in Sadge. Dad, Taurus with Mars/Mercury in Aries, Asc in Sadge, can be scary, too, but he usually keeps a lid on it more now. I've seen him throw things, put his fist through a wall (when we were teenagers), etc.

The ones I know, will go off without pushing. They might nurse something a long time, and then go off, or they will just let it fly.

They all have Mars in fire placements, too. I don't. But since my progressed Mars moved into Aries, a couple of years ago, I'm more likely to flip out. I'm not sure that would be true, if it hadn't coincided with what was happening at home, but I'll never know.

Best friend from high school has Mars conjunct Jupiter in Aries, and I don't recall her ever losing her temper. She's a Sun in Cancer, Moon in Capricorn, Mercury in Gemini, Venus in Leo, too.

How you deal with anger is a Mars function.
In Aries it sometimes flies off the handle with very little provocation. Other Mars signs have more control.

Yours is in Gemini? Kind of a mouthy Mars (mine too) Takes a lot to actually get in a physical fight but won't back down. Wins with words or out thinks the opposition.

Wicked tempers are sometimes seen when Mars aspects the outer planets.

Wow reading all your replies is so funny, outrageous stuff!!

I don't think I've ever thrown anything or hit a wall, but my Mars is gemini so we are not physical. Mine is more of a seething under the surface, I'm probably the only one who knows how angry I really am.

Gabby,

I hope in bringing this up and maybe exposing what you might feel is a serious character flaw, you also see that many of us struggle with or have struggled with handling anger.

Even with all the positive growth and healing in my last decade or so, the transit of Pluto conjunct my Moon has occasionally brought to the surface latent urges of revenge type anger that I thought I'd outgrown. It has especially come with the understanding that if I directed my intention effectively I could even kill someone at a distance who I might in that moment think is such a low manifestation of humanity that they don't deserve to continue living and perpetrating... Not a pleasant admission, yet I cannot deny the feelings there that formed those thoughts. I have had to quickly reject them as not in line with compassion or my role as a healer.

Many of us grew up either being controlled or allowed no room to stand up for ourselves. This creates negative feelings that can be stored until they are purged. I don't have any special formula for that, just ongoing self-awareness and realignment with what befits my name, Kannon, Quan Yin, compassionate mother healer.

BTW I think naming ourselves is a great way to take back our identity from parents who may've had their own agenda for us, in addition to the love they gave us. It is literally an act of self repossession.

Mars Virgo here, conjunct mercury among other aspects. Physical anger is real but rare and I avoid it.
I often ice people and/or file it away in memory for my next opportunity to pay pack. I don't look for it but when opportunity presents itself I will use it.

Most common is a commanding, aggressive tone with lots of volume. Combine with that the fact that I'll spit out so many words, so quickly that responses to me are nearly impossible. VERY intense, hyper-focused eye contact. Almost tunnel vision. I'll also many times blatantly not listen or pretend to and I'm really not. LOL
It depends! There's been times that I've snapped and went straight physical, very rarely though.

@Kannon ~ Thank you for these helpful and honest comments.

@teasel ~ I wish you could call the cops on your sister, for physically attacking you! God, *I* want to fight her, just listening to the stories.

And wow, your family sounds fiesty.

I used to get into physical fights with my sister. They were a serious joke. She's four inches taller and weighs twice as much, but she has NO coordination, no interest, it was like fighting the Pillsbury dough boy. I had to give up out of pity.

But I was a teenager last time we fought physically.

@Gabby ~ As a Gemini Mars like you, honestly most of my aggression gets channeled verbally. I've never thrown stuff, but I have a lot of Cap friends, and they've told me about blowing off steam by breaking things.

Actually once I broke stuff but don't want to tell the story.
