Yes, Taurus Moon is exalted...And the ones I've met were very selfish. I mean... *VERY*. Like spoilt, bratty, kids... who think everyone has to parent them, pay for them, look after them and revolve around them. Because "Hey.. I'm Venusian, so I'm worth it! I will regale you with my beautiful smile. Now pay for dinner and/or iron my shirts.." -_- Granted.. there are a couple on LL, who seem like perfectly nice people
But, sometimes the exalted sign can go in the opposite extreme because things come too easily for them. IP: Logged |

It's the same with Aries ^The Sun is exalted in Aries.. and they/we can be confident, dignified and generally awesome - but they/we can also be highly aggressive, and have an out-of-control energy that burns everyone - left, right and centre. ^ Dignified and exalted placements need some control to work out well. Otherwise they can end up being - too much of a good thing (which is actually a "bad" thing... in the end) IP: Logged |

Selfishness is a human quality, it's just whether one has learned to express it in healthy or unhealthy ways. Of course many selfish people are quick to call others selfish the same way many extremely ignorant people are fast to loudly proclaim others ignorant. It's also natural for many to see their own perspective over others which gives them a "me first" quality but still have compassion for others. Psychic vampires, abusers, and the like...I think they were damaged somehow rather than born with it. Hard to say for sure. IP: Logged |

It sucks having my Libra stellium (including Sun) oppose my NN. It's so much easier just being "not Aries", haha. My natal moon-conjunct-mars is probably a good thing looking at the big picture. IP: Logged |

What I've noticed is that this type of selfishness works fine for Aries when they are young. But as they are near or at middle age, life (or Saturn) starts to force Aries to become less selfish, to think of others more. What was cute in an young person is not cute in an older person.
I was honest. I said that I can be selfish at times. I'm the only Aries in the house, but I am not alone in having exhibited selfish tendencies. Like I said: everyone has them. Everyone. I will be honest about mine, when I am being selfish. I remember when Mum told me that a birthday request I had was so selfless, and I said it wasn't at all - that it was something that would take care of something for me, and take a weight off my mind. It was also for my pets, but not only for them. IP: Logged |

I have five friends born in October your year - with their NN around my Sun. It's a pretty entertaining mix in our synastry! But I love them because my Pluto is bang on their Scorpio Venus IP: Logged |

I don't know. I have two close friends who have Taurus moon and they are wonderfully generous. Not selfish at all. They know how to set boundaries, but they are not selfish. IP: Logged |

I have to respectfully disagree. The quality of the sun cannot be compared to that of the moon, thus we can't compare the exaltation of the sun in Aries to the exaltation of the moon in taurus. The Sun is the most important planet in a chart, the most important planet in the solar system. The sun has to be selfish as everything revolves around it. The moon's nature is not about making things revolve around itself. But the moon in Aries does. IP: Logged |

I said aries moon as the top selfish aspect because by single aspect alone, I can find another that can top it. The moon is our core. With an aries moon, everything you believe is all about the self. I know a pisces sun aries moon and an aries sun pisces moon. SUCH different personalities...
Nicely said.

Hmmmmmmm........ The Moon is about a person's basic needs/desires, emotional needs/desires and material ones: their clothes, their food, their personal comfort and so on...
Hedonism is a *kind* of selfishness... Not many are quite as pleasure-seeking in life, as Taurus placements can be... mainly the Moon. A Taurus Moon (and sometimes also Cancer Moon) is just the type of person who hides their food at the back of the fridge to make sure their room-mate doesn't get to it first... instead of sharing (or asking the other person if they want some). ^ I've seen Taurus (exaltation) and Cancer (dignity) do this kind of thing many times.... so yes, it can, at times, be all about them, and their needs - because they are personal signs. One of my (ex) best friends in HS was a Leo with Cancer Moon and she always, ate my food... I know it sounds funny, but she really did Every sandwich I had, everything I ever bought from the school canteen - chips - snacks, you name it - she ate it all!! I wasn't upset because I'm not a big eater... but she would just start taking my food. She wouldn't even ask. And I also paid for absolutely everything whenever we went out including movies, lunches, dinners and even clothes. Sure! There are enlightened people of all signs... but the *down*side of Taurus Moon (and occasionally Cancer) does include selfishness imo. The Sun is about the ego - perhaps being an egomaniac or egocentric. But you don't necessarily have to be selfish to be an egomaniac! It depends on what we mean by "selfish"... You can be an egomaniac who is not stingy (so not "selfish" in that sense).. who spends all his/her money left, right and centre and gives his/her fortunes to the homeless. This is just an example. Taurus is not renowned for giving away material things to the homeless, as many other signs might (without a second thought). And Cancer clings to their belongings and their money... It's all for them and for their family. ^ Their life's work is all about *them* and their family. For instance, Cancer energy (as well as Taurus) seem, for the most part, disinterested in things like - environmental damage or animal welfare activism... Because these things are too far removed from them (and their family). Conversely, the Capricorn's life's work (I am mentioning Capricorn, because someone brought it up as being "selfish"), along with the other transpersonal signs, is about the world at large... not primarily the *self* and not the *family*. Being focused on such a small circle of people (to the exclusion of the rest of the planet).. seems more selfish to me. But maybe we all have slightly different things in mind when we think of "selfishness". IP: Logged |

Big time resonate with your mentioning cancer selfishness... especially where food is concerned. I'm a Capricorn Moon and I'm over generous and selfish by turns. I have Mars Square Saturn... Mars at 1 Aries and Saturn at 0 Cap. This is an aspect which Isabel Hickey noted as a selfish one-- "should prove an important lifetime," she says--for we must learn to stop being such ******** , or some such... IP: Logged |

Aries for sure. The thing is they don't even notice it. They never think about what other people want/need. If they want to do something that is the priority. I hate it, I lived with two Aries Suns, I know how Aries mind works.and also, Geminis and other mercury dominant people can be selfish. They can pretend to care, make you think they care, but they can easily shake off other people whenever they want. IP: Logged |

How does your moon/Mars conjunction feel? Wouldn't that give you some of those Aries traits having your moon conjunct it's ruler? It does for me, but I also have Saturn there to keep it from getting too out of control. IP: Logged |

In my personal experience - gemini moon people can be very selfish. Mars in the 8th can be a bit selfish, too (fixated on what they want). Venus square mars placements can make a person sneaky / secretive (selfish). IP: Logged |

I happen to disagree about the Sun being the most important planet...it's not a planet, but a star( ha, ha).. Once it sets; it's the moon to which we succumb to. I am biased without shame... Show me a Moon, and I'll show you a person. Therefore, whatever is considered selfish in general - look to the moon. In love, also see Venus. Sooo, Moon + Venus are selfish, for example!

Among the five personal planets, Sun, Mercury, & Venus are other oriented. Moon & Mars are the selfish principles.+1 for Cancer selfishness with food. And hiding food. IP: Logged |

How is the sun not the most important planet? Even in regular parlance, we speak of the SOLAR system, not of the lunar system, not of the venusian system. In our system, every planet revolves around the sun. That's a fact that the sun is at the center of everything in our system. It doesn't get more important than that.

I am always suspicious when someone call others selfish. are they selfish because they dont satisfy our SELFISH needs? back to your question... it is difficult to tell because sometimes a very giving person may become self-protective because of stress, because of too much emotional demands. i have seen very sensitive souls to switch off when under too much emotional demands... I would agree with one of the comments about depending on the synastry. someone evil is someone else blessing. but if i were to think of selfishness as a neutral concept, then lot of aries, cancer (self-centered), capricorn moon(only about protecting my needs and what makes me not to do the wrong thing)taurus-scorpio (stingy) aquarious (i care too much about humanity, but your particular problem is not that important).. as you can see many can be selfish. it is difficult to find a particular aspect... I can have a short temper. Yes, it gives me some of that Aries energy. I can't do things without being into it, if that makes sense. The conjunction is square my Neptune, making me prone to daydream and fantasize though.

Angelina Jolie, Pink, Flannery O'Connor, Muhammad Yunus... To name a few Aries moons who are definitely not selfish. Even Phillipe Petit who exhibited selfish traits went out his way to do things that only have abstract values. Among the ppl in my life, the Aries mooners are the ones running to their loved ones light knights in shining armor. Yes, like Scorpio moon, Aries mooners look out for their interests first and are on the defense all the time. But they will go to the end of the world to show what bravery looks like.
