I forget about placements people close to me have, too. I need to borrow a printer and print their charts off, so that I can keep them handy.

My mother might have Venus in the 8th, in Scorpio, and men have always loved her. She's always been popular, as well.
I was popular up until a certain age, but I've noticed I can be equally repelling at times... and I have felt utterly invisible at times in my life, as well. There were times when that was intentional, though.

There are a few people I've met with this placement, whom one would not call *objectively* attractive, but they had a certain personal magnetism.

To put it crudely, if you saw a picture of them, your reaction might be 'Meh'. But if you met them in person, you'd feel drawn and, 'attracted' to them.

IMO, yes. It's about the Plutonian flavour. So, a Plutonian venus can be a venus in Scorpio, Pluto-aspected venus, or Venus in the 8th, ruler of the 8th - such aspects.

What this brings is a hidden allure. People may not be able to pinpoint what they find attractive about such people, but they will be attracted nonetheless.
