I've had plenty of relationships, several involving 8th and not one has worked the way you say. So I'm not going to continue this debate. Go on thinking wrong. I'm confident on how this works.

If you take Venus and put her in H8 box... The box will feel the love, the money, w/e. But, Venus is in the Scorpio land. Not an internal, one-sided process, the synastry. She's not the sex, Scorpio is - she's all fair and nice. She, the active force is obliging and charming, not possessive and rife with the fear of loss like Scorpio/H8/Pluto. (If you will - I still like Mars here better, in the beginning of the natal investigation at least.)
